I have been to LUSH 15-20 times. The business was sold in Fall 2024 and it has gone down hill. The staff is rude and acts like the customer is an inconvenience. There have been two issues since the company sold: 1. I called ahead to confirm pricing for a service. I arrived and saw the same price on the laminated pricing sheet. When I checked out, they charged me a higher price and said the sheet was wrong. They would not honor the posted price. If you go now, the price has whiteout over it and hand written the new price. 2. I got a manicure and went back same day because the polish was chipping. They told me it was my fault. Two employees started speaking between themselves so I couldn't understand. I used to love this spot. But the customer service is just terrible now. My nails were rushed, the tip I left was pocketed by another nail tech, & I had two cuts on my cuticles that were swollen several days afterwards. I'm an Esthetician so I know the sanitation requirements in Ohio for spas and I can promise you they aren't being upheld here. I saw no barbicide being used to sterilize files or tools, my tech pulled out an ENTIRE BOX filled with heavily used files and used one on me. Someone can easily get an infection or fungus coming here. I recommend going to a spa where sanitation is a number one priority like Woodhouse Day Spa. I will never return to LUSH nail spa read more

Don't go if you care about your nails! I had been going here for several years, but then my manicurist left to go elsewhere. I have tried to stay on, trying other workers there. It then got new owners and they changed things, not for the better, and increased prices. I went in recently to get gel polish removed before a manicure. They started me soaking in the alcohol and after 30mintes ( way too long and never had had it done this way before) they used the grinding tool to try to get off the gel. They ground too deep into my nails and took off layers of my actual nails!!!! They hurt, look awful, and will take a long time to heal!!! They ruined my nails!!! read more

I went in to get my gel taken off and gel put back on and it was a terrible experience. I've never paid for a service without tip (especially during COVID times!) and left without even tipping it was so bad. It took 45 mins just to get polish off, file and do cuticles. They looked so bad to where I didn't want gel polish put back on them. Not even clear. They still made me pay $25 for the gel remover and 'manicure'. And since I had to leave after 45 mins, I left with them looking like these pics. That was my first and last time going there unfortunately. read more

You could see through to where my nails had grown out. She replaced a thumb nail that had come off, and just put a nail right over a small piece That was stuck to my nail. I've been to this place twice now and I really liked the vibe of the place the first time but on my second appointment I felt the nail tech rushing a lot even though I had an appointment at 3 and was taken back at 3:10 by him. I had told him I wanted almond and French nails as my design. Not only did he drill so hard on my nails that they were burning but he cut me so many times. My previous nails also must have lifted and water had gotten under them bc there was green stuff under my nails which he never informed me of. There is dry blood under my nails from being cut and it looks like fungus also from water (which I found out on my own later tonight) I will be going back tomorrow to get them fixed and hopefully get a better experience because that is nothing but red flags. read more

I have never been to a nail salon that actually takes their time with their customers, I never once felt like I was being rushed along. Jenny is who did my nails both times, and she is wonderful! My nail turned out great and my lady was super nice. But I got a Sunburn from their nail dryer because they use UV light which should not have happened at all. I called the manager about it and just wanted to him to fix the mistake that had happened. Like no big deal but Instead he was really rude and disrespectful to me. He did not care about what happened and did not want to help. Kept saying that it was basically my fault because they did not tell me how long to stay under there and left me there for 25 or so Minutes and never said anything to me and just let me sit there. I've been to many places that use blue light and have never had this problem and the manager was super rude. I got a regular mani here last week. I had yet to find a nail spa in the Dayton area that I liked (as a SoCal native, the difference in quality between those two markets was pretty severe.) I went two days before Thanksgiving and it was pretty busy, though they got me in with a 15 minute wait. I know they were having problems keeping appointments running on time, and the new-seeming receptionist was a bit rude to a few people who were frustrated that they would have to wait after having scheduled an appointment. But that's not why I'm giving them 4 stars. I have two basic criteria- Q: Do my nails look good?!? A: YES! I know, regular (not gel) manicures can be kinda unreliable. Yet, this polish lasted a week still looking good! Q: Is it clean?!? A: YES! Nail tools came out of a sterile bag, and pedicure tubs are lined with new plastic bags for each customer. The room itself did not reek of polish/remover, so that's huge. Bonus: my nail tech mentioned that they have a 1 week satisfaction guarantee for their gel manicures, so maybe I'll have to spring for one next time! read more

I went in on Monday to have a dip service done. I usually go somewhere else but I have to make an appt and didn't have the time to wait. They did good and were very friendly but literally that night my one nail just from bumping it shattered. They were wonderful about repairing it the next day at no charge. Then today again same thing. I barely bumped my thumb and a big chunk flew off now I have a chunk out of my dip polish. I started coming here in December for manicures and met Kelly. She's the sweetest and did a fabulous job with my nails. So much so that I started coming back to have them done regularly. She helped me pick a color and I was hooked on the color and gel Manis. Unfortunately, my nails were too weak to continue so I stopped in March and took a hiatus until now. I love the staff here as they are all super friendly and very professional. I had my nails done by another tech and she gives a shoulder and neck massage. Wow! She also gave me advice on my nails and I was very appreciative. I love that they use the plastic bags for pedis to ensure cleanliness and a fresh nail file pack that they will ask if you want to take with you. The music is always soft and relaxing. They will guide to your seat at salon station and then offer you a beverage that includes multiple choices, including wine. I haven't experienced too many mishaps..twice my techs cut my cuticle and caused me to bleed. I wasn't thrilled but they cleaned it up and it was not too noticeable. I will note this has happened at many salons I have been to so I don't want to detour people from thinking it will occur to them. My last mani/ pedi was done by Jenny and no issues what so ever. Honestly, I hate to only give this place 3 stars. The service was terrific, everything was immaculately clean, and the technician was lovely. I saw someone's gel nails and dipped nails and the looked excellent. BUT, my nail polish bubbled terribly. I think the topcoat dried much faster than the color coats. It was just a regular manicure that was otherwise great (regular polish). I'll have to remove the polish and redo it myself though. Please make sure you wait long enough between coats! read more

I would not go back to this nail place. The person that did my nails used a tool on my cuticle that left a big divot in both of my thumb nails. Also the products they used weaken my nails and several broke off about 4 days after my manicure. It is going to take months for my nails to recover. Also the lady was in such a hurry when she trimmed my nails they were not straight across. I was very impressed with the customer service, cleanliness of the shop, politeness of the staff and overall feeling of relaxarion; especially for my first visit. My nail tech (he never mentioned his name) made good conversation, very gentle with my nails and took his time. I learned it was his first day back to the shop after being gone a couple of years so I was understanding when the removal of dip and full set of acrylic took 2 hours. All the employees are very friendly and kind. I didn't feel treated like a customer. I felt as if they treated me more like a guest in their home. I came for the L.U.S.H mani and pedi for my wedding today. I'm not getting married for a week so I opted for the gel polish on fingers and toes. I also got a full set of acrylics. The L.U.S.H upgrades were awesome. They put lemons and flowers in my foot soak, I got a sugar scrub, leg and hand mask, hot towel service, paraffin wax, and hot stone massage. As a new Mom who works full time in a factory, I never get pampered so it was really nice. I had Wei as a technician and he really took the time to make sure everything was perfect. I got the classic pink and white for polish, with some sparkles in the polish for the toes and it looks beautiful. Definitely bride ready!! He assured me the gel polish will stay beautiful until my wedding day next week so we will see about that but I have faith that it will. The price was a little higher then I expected, but I did get the top notch mani and pedi, adding gel, adding a full set, and adding the french manicure. But it's my wedding and I was okay with splurging on myself this time. The Moscato they served was delicious as well. I am definitely happy with my service from LUSH and I will most likely be back to maintain my full set, even though I've never been a big fan of getting my nails done. Second time here and despite all the good reviews i am not impressed. Both times i have been here i did not receive the color i picked out. They did not have the color i picked even though it was on their color charts (?). Okay..so i picked a new color and what he put on did not match the color i picked at all. Either time i was there. I've never had this happen at a nail salon ever and it happened both times here. I don't understand at all. Also, customers around me were offered a drink and i was not. So I went in for gel polish and so I always get it done with top and they just buff it has add a layer of sns clear powder to even my nails out. I was telling them to do that and they just change the subject telling me the opinions I had which were over price in what I normally paid.The man also changed the color and added a top with the color, which I really did not like. They did an acrylic which I did not want because it's not good for my nails, and they did not want to did it the way I had always done. I am not happy with the job and next time I'm just going to schedule an appointment with the two ladies there that do a good job.It was honestly the second time I had not liked their job. read more
