Everything is top notch except their IV techs. A man with no clue how to take care of someone saw me twice in two months at the ER to start with. Mid thirty's brown hair and glasses and wierd. He was ridiculously bad and I Let him have it. So the second time when I refused to let him draw he remembered me and went outside the room and got another guy. The new guy was better but here's the thing. Both were as painful as a person could stand, missed the vein several times and the after math was the worst thing .I was disabled with the 1guy for 3 weeks.black bruising and so sore mentire are couldn't touch with nerve damage and pain . Second guy much nicer and used vein finder but the healing part was insane. My inside elbow swelled up like a fist. I had bruising up and down my whole arm including hand a finger and trails of red bruising up and down my arm. Look like I had crushed my arm in accident. So painful couldn't sleep. Drs were great,nursing was outstanding,front desk great,no wait. But those IV techs need to go. read more

This ER is disappointing. The man I spoke to on the phone was incredibly kind and accommodating, and that's pretty much where the good ends. My father, who is in his mid 70's and currently battling his second bout of cancer was rushed down from the mountains. My mom was left alone, an hr apart from her husband and when she called for information she was given none and was never allowed to speak to him directly. I called and she called and they said they would call back with information. They never did. Ok, I get it, you're an ER and don't have time to call loved ones and give them the update they so badly need. But don't lie to me and say you will. I don't care what you do to me. But have some courtesy for the 73 year old women who hasn't been workout her husband for more than a few hrs in the past 4 decades. Call her and give her the update you said you would read more

The facility was clean, bright and pleasant. My gf was admitted for spinal surgery and a fall down a flight of stairs. The surgeon and the nursing staff were accommodated, attentive, caring, competent. The food was above average for hospital fare. Overall, I have no complaints about her care; but, bear in mind, I am speaking as a visitor and not the patient. read more

This is a beautiful, new state of the art location. Hung around while my wife has a visit. The cafeteria and gift shop sit to left when walking in and the seating area was clean and comfortable. Food is cheap here. They have brand new hotels within walking distance in case you need to stay. Parking was easy and you didn't have to walk far. I don't think you'll be disappointed with the surroundings if you do need to visit. read more

The cardiology department is seriously the best here. The new location is beautiful, clean and with an amazing view of the mountains. All the employees I've interacted with have been professional and caring, this stems back to even before they moved to this location. This new location is definitely much easier to get to right off of the freeway rather than the old spot off of Wadsworth. I highly recommend if you need a cardiologist to look up inter mountain health. read more

I was recently at Lutheran because of family member suffered a medical emergency. Not only were we very impressed with the staff in the received, but the care we received as well. This was a very disappointing experience visit to the ER. I was having post procedure trouble with bleeding. And was told if I had continued trouble with bleed that I would need to go to the ER. I had trouble with bleeding most of the next day after my procedure but managed to get it under control with applied pressure at home. On day three after the procedure I decided to take a shower and proceeded to remove the bandages while it started bleeding again. could not get bleeding to stop after about three hours of applying pressure to the site. Made the very wrong panicked decision to go to the ER at Lutheran Hospital. I went fully expecting to get some help to stop the bleeding. Now don't get me wrong they did get the bleeding to stop But everything that they did very easily could have been done at home and was what I was doing at home. I was expecting to at least get the wounded site stitched up to help control the bleeding. I will not be returning to the ER if the bleeding starts up again even if I have to apply pressure for 12 hours to get it to stop bleeding. It would have been better to just go to my PCP on Monday then to go into the ER to get the site stitched up. Wasted my time and the crew at the ER's time and I image a huge waste of insurance funds to pay for this visit. As far as the care that I received very much professional and caring and would be what you would expect (5 stars) but I don't think that the ER doctor made the right decision not to stitch up the site (1star rating). read more

I went to the ER with a severe cough that was causing pain in my ribs and a sore throat. The Dr didn't do his job!! No strep test was done, didn't check my throat, NOTHING. The worst experience I've had at an ER. Sent me home with Ibuprofen. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THE MONEY, NOT THE PATIENT :( I hope I never have to go back there again. read more

I gave birth to my daughter at Lutheran last week and found the overall experience to be very good. I want to give a special shout out to nurses Lexi and Amy they were tremendous and I really appreciate the level of care and kindness with which they treated me in my family during the induction and delivery process. The entire hospital team worked really hard to make sure that my husband and I understood everything that was going on and keeping our rooms clean and making sure that both me and the baby were healthy during an after the birth we were in the hospital for almost 48 hours. I think so. We had our opportunity to work our way through the menu and the food was not bad for hospital food. I also really appreciated the fact that during the recovery. They gave us time to rest and weren't constantly in our room and it wasn't noisy. This is compared to the birth of our son at a different hospital where we barely got a chance to rest cause it was constantly people coming in day and night and monitors hooked up really loud and we just came home from the hospital exhausted where at least with this one we had a chance like I stayed to rest. The hospital itself is beautiful and clean and brand new which was also nice Again compared to the birth of our son where a lot of the things in our room didn't work and we were definitely in like an overflow room with a lot of broken things. I would recommend having your baby at Lutheran. It was a good experience for me and if I wasn't positive I was done having babies. I would have my next baby there too. read more

December 18, 2025 7am Following Discharge orders from the day before Security demanded I remove my noise cancelling head phones, I yelled, no. Im autistic and Im not removing aid. I will not accomodate ANYONE who demands I remove an assisted device. I do not care what their pay grade is. Triage nurse several times ignored me and my husband, we both told this guy that I am autistic. Blew us both off. And kept insisting I wear a gown, that made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable, being on a bed and domineered by a person I DON'T know insisting I get undressed in front of him. I do get overwhelmed and my vision was shot because of my visual senses and the doctor, told several times Im autistic, decides he wants to push pain medications on me after my husband told him NO Fentanyl! Im in stimming mode, full on autistic meltdown and Daniel Windels asks me if I want medication for my anxiety. I filed a CMS complaint. Because this wasnt all that happened. Im just letting the neurodivergent world to be careful if you need treatment. read more

For those of you that like quick summaries, I give this hospital 5 stars only because the system will not let me rate 10. I went there on a Friday night for intestinal issues and extreme stomachs cramps. From the initial check in that only took 15 minutes to get a room the process was so easy. I am not going to bore you with the details by I had to have my gallbladder removed. My ER nurse was Mitch and He was just the first of many of the exceptional staff experiences, Mitch made sure all of my needs were met. Most importantly he translated "Dr Talk" into something I could understand. When I asked questions he would show me the charts and explain the details and exactly what was happening. He helped control my pain to make it manageable. Once I was transferred to my room. I met this Gem of a human being named Stephen. Stephen had a very comfortable personality, he was cheerful and most importantly he was attentive. Even when I would hit the call button "Regularly" he was prompt and took care of my needs (pain management). Stephan came back the next evening and I can this was the first time I was happy to see a nurse again. He helped me get released from the hospital and went out of his ways to help me with my home meds. My day nurse was Rachel and she was equally talented a Stephan. She was great at explaining the process on my surgery. She even took time to spend with me and my wife to make us feel comfortable. These were just a couple of the stand out employees at Lutheran. Dr Rebecca Knight and her staff did a great job with the surgery and most importantly I met a Dr with a GREAT bed side manner. In summary I am home healthy now and it's all thanks to the amazing staff at Lutherine Hospital!! Thank You read more

I couldn't begin to list all of the various incidents I encountered. And based upon my entire career being in medicine, I was appalled at the lack of communication between the staff. I.E: This doctor knowing what specific treatment, etc. was happening & another one having no idea! I found it to constantly be a 'right foot, left situation'; an aspect of a number of employees trying to answer 'Did You Walk To Work? or Bring Your Lunch?'; one Dr., in particular, that if the requirement for his graduation/degree was even knowing what a professional, personable & pleasing Dr./Pt. relationship was, he'd be on a street corner; breathing treatments ordered 4X a day & the most received being 3 (2 days) & the rest either 2, usually 1. And I feel I can adequately give these thoughts (only a dent!!) in having had experiences with 4 other area hospitals. Involving my experiences with these, they put Lutheran to shame. In visiting with a friend (CPR instructor) after being dismissed, I found it very interesting as to one of his comments, in particular ..... "I'm not surprised to hear that, as I've heard what you've mentioned from a number of people." read more

My wife and I came to the ER this evening. Registration and being interviewed by a nurse went fine as expected. (Must Read!) However, after being seen by a physician assistant here, it was clear that this young lady was trying to avoid helping us. She wouldn't do imaging or assist us. After listening to this physicians assistant, it was clear that she was incompetent and full of excuses. As if she received her degree from a Caribbean nation or second rate vet tech school. Then I googled the problems my wife was having and the PA gave us the exact wrong advice. I'm requesting to speak to a doctor now and we are being completely avoided. This is very concerning to me. I question if they even have a legitimate doctor on staff. It is a weekend. We haven't seen a single doctor in this joint. My recommendation is to avoid this hospital if you find yourself needing emergency room care. If so a veterinary clinic would be the equate of this place. read more

Husband admitted because a strep infection caused complications. Nurse chirpily discussed DNR orders and grilled us about ability to pay. The admissions already had our insurance information. Apparently the nursing staff is under the impression that treatment is based on ability to pay. Or maybe they don't think people old enough to qualify for medicare should get treated. read more

*BEWARE* Please read my story- this place is about as scammy as it gets. I went to the ER in the middle of the night for stomach pain. I asked them, specifically, if they, the doctors I'd see, and the services I'd get were covered by my insurance, which is BCBS HMO Gold policy. They said yes. At every step of the way, during every interaction, I asked if the services I was and would get would be covered, and everyone told me yes. Fast forward to receiving my bill. The PHYSICIAN and HALF the services were NOT covered by my insurance, leaving me with a medical bill that exceeded the cost of my wife's childbirth. For a stomach ache! I called and complained, they said they understood and would adjust my bill. 60 days went by, I never got an adjusted bill. I called again, they said they understood the situation and would adjust it again, and to wait 90 days for a new bill. I get a call 90 days later (Which was earlier this week) saying my account was overdue and getting sent to collections. I was literally LIED TO over and over until they could just sell my debt to another company and make it their problem. What OVERWHELMING dishonesty, for a "christian" hospital. read more

I have found it necessary to visit my Cardiology Drs several times already this year. Have been taken to the ER 3 time by ambulance, had surgery and had quite a few tests done in different places by many different people ~ all of which were connected in some way with Lutheran Hospital. I have yet to meet someone I didn't like and appreciate. Absolutely everyone has been profesional in a very caring way. I've never felt like "just a number" but someone that was there in need of their help and they always made me feel that they were there to provide it for me with a caring heart. read more

I had a non-emergency laceration but the EMT's were concerned it would require surgery. I went to Lutheran. From intake to discharge, every staff person was personable and kind. The ER MD was competent and thorough. I was there 4 hours because my injury was not life-threatening. Strokes, severe trauma, heart attacks are life-threatening and get priority in a hospital ER. My suggestion would be to improve discharge instructions, considering how the patient is going to manage at home over the next several days. Instructions on bandaging, mobility, etc. They did give me instructions on medications and signs of infection. read more

Emergency Rooms can be frustrating but necessary. I have a small cyst that needs draining every few years. Regular Doctor was hesitant to remove it completely. Well it decided to get infected and erupt so off I went to the ER. Very few people in the waiting area and checking in was easy and I was in a room shortly thereafter where I was seen by a nurse. Several serious emergencies came in so I had to wait. The doctor was very apologetic but took excellent care of me, completely removing the cyst (could have thrown antibiotics at me and sent me back to regular doctor!). read more

Where do I start. We had our first baby there about 5 years ago and it was awesome. Professional staff. Good food, safe environment. Now it is none of those things. They currently have a "mask policy" in place. Staff people don't even wear one half the time and the staff will yell at you if your not correctly wearing one. (See pic of the 5 staff people walking around hospitals without one. There is currently a homeless encampment less than a quarter mile from the hospital now so you get to go to your car and some crackhead is taking a dump by it( see pic) The staff is rude and even better is you have people walking around with BLM and pro choice "flare" on their uniforms. Real class act walking around a labor and delivery floor with your pro choice pin on your uniform. The food was awesome 5 years ago. Personally I wouldn't feed this to a dog how nasty it is now.. Sooooo with that said I would avoid them at all cost!!! I'll drive right past this hospital to go to another one. Unprofessional and not a safe environment. read more

After ct scan They park you in one spot after another and when you ask for answers the staff is very disrespectful. They are annoyed you ask. They won't give you any time estimates- horrible. My daughter just delivered her first baby at the new Lutheran hospital and it was not good! They were completely unprepared. The staff had no idea where anything was and they seemed very frustrated. There were small complications with the baby that became amplified by their lack of preparation. My daughter had to walk out of the hospital after a C-section 2 days prior, no wheelchair? I certainly hope they iron out the kinks soon, or I definitely wouldn't recommend this hospital's maternity department to new parents. read more

Worst hospital ever. Always has been, but this new facility should come with an overhaul of lazy and unqualified medical personnel. It does not. The ER is a joke! Horrible patient care. The nurse Amanda B is lazy and lies in her medical notes. She then blames family members for her own mistakes, and lack of care, so that she is covering her own behind. She lies to coworkers saying that she needed vitals before they were discharged and that a family member did not allow her to do so, so could Christy do the vitals. A lie. She never attempted to take vitals, so how was a family member able to prevent it? There was no call button available, it was freezing in the room, there was absolutely zero care. Amanda should be fired. Harold at triage doesn't listen to the patient or their family, shouts patient information across the lobby, and violates HIPAA regulations at the intake desk and in the lobby. He made every family member in the lobby uncomfortable, Harold was a horrible person to take information from a person experiencing anxiety because he caused more! So did Amanda! Horrible. We asked for charge nurse and waited to no avail. So we left. This hospital needs some serious remediation in patient care including privacy practices, communication and honesty in medical documentation. I stayed here in hopes of getting therapeutic help for insomnia and panic attacks. So I come here asking for help so what do they do? I had heavy bleeding and I am told by this extremely rude male nurse that I am NOT allowed to have any feminine hygine products and also not allowed to wear any under wear So they had me sit in a cold blank room in front of a camera bleeding all over myself. I'm giving a 2 because we had some great nurses. If not for them this rating would have been a 0. The nurses that were over 40 were great. The ones under 40 not so much. They don't seem to have any conflict resolution skills or basic communication skills. Our experience was they talked a lot, but didn't say much specific or accurate to the actual patient. Phrases like "I think" "I assume" "what could have happened" when asked why were used way too much. My dad was here for 6 days. Stressful enough to have a loved one in a hospital then add to it constant issues and problems. Every day there was something. The food service is a joke. I was bringing him food from home because he either didn't get fed or it was 2 or 3 hours late and cold. In a nutshell I will say that I wonder who is running the show because sure seemed to us like no one was. There is a definite lack of communication staff to staff and staff to patient/patient's family; right hand never knew what the left hand was doing! I will never go back here again. It is sad because it so close to home. We had really high hopes for this facility. What a disappointment! read more

Giving this a 1 star for the fact that my girlfriend just had our son 2 days ago ( we are new parents) we are having him circumcised and the nurse that is going to do this told us that she would be back after we told her that she is going to finish breastfeeding. She finished in 5 minutes and after an hour my girlfriend told me to go out to let them now that we are ready. Since the nurse that is attending to our room is in front of our door I her know that we are ready and that the other nurse that told us that she would be back here in a little has not come back yet before she could reply back to me her co worker stepped in and told me that there are other babys on this floor and waiting for the same thing. Then gave me the rudest smile. I am a new parent I am sleep deprived that comment and for that nurse to butt In and give her two cents was extremely unprofessional. I understand that there are a bunch of new mothers and mothers adding a new addition to there family but for a nurse to be rude to me for letting them know we are ready makes me question why they hired and keep people like this. Very disappointed about the lack of care and compassion the team has here on the 3rd floor. read more

We delivered our son here. We cannot begin to express how wonderful the entire team was. All the nurses were not just friendly, but caring and concerned. They made sure to get to know you and your story, We never felt like just another patient. We don't know where to begin or who to personally thank...Bonnie, Billie, Julie, Rachel, Suzan, Laura, Cari...we could go on! We felt like everyone went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. From the lactation specialist to the custodians, they were all friendly and wished us congratulations. Our room was clean, linens were changed timely. They kept apologizing for how "behind they were" and we never once felt unattended. Everyone we talked to was tenured and spoke highly of working there, you know that's a good sign when everyone loves where they work. That goes miles. This experience was honestly so good we will make the drive from Littleton (if not a life threatening emergency) to this hospital for any future services. Last Friday June 4, 2021 we scheduled Dispatch Health to come by and check out why I wasn't feeling well.  An hour after they left I was in the emergency room at Luthern. After a 3 hour plus wait, I was brought back to one of the rooms.  Nurse Julie C asked if I had been vaccinated to which I replied no I have not and will not be vaccinated.  Immediately her demeanor changed right as my wife and daughter walked in.  Nurse Julie C's agitation took form in arguing with my wife over nothing except my wife wanting to ensure I was properly being looked after. The agitated Nurse Julie C informed me that she was going to give me a Covid test using the PCR test.  I responded that I was aware that the test was not accurate.  She then informed me that I either take that test or one that takes several days to confirm which would result in me being confined to the Covid floor.  I was still of the mind that I would be out in hours so I chose the PCR test. I felt she administered wrong from all the information I had read since she kept it in my brain as she counted to 15.   Minutes later Nurse Julie C announced she had bad news that my wife and daughter had to leave and that I had Covid.  Mind you I was not in there for any other symptom other than a fever from an infection which was confirmed by Catscan. I was taken up to the Covid floor even thought I knew I did not have Covid.  The surgeon came in after looking at my catscan to let me know she did not think I had Covid.  I seconded her opinion, yet nothing was done to get me out of the Covid floor.  I was never treated for any Covid related symptom and many times the people seeing me were not all geared up as they claim is required. Once I was released from the hospital, we immediately made an appointment with Dispatch Health to test me for Covid.  They tested me with a much better test that takes several days to come back.  It came back today as negative which we knew would happen. Since I did not agree with the vaccine the RN intentionally misused a Covid test to send me to the Covid floor.  If I wasn't infected, I would be exposed to Covid just by being admitted to that floor.  In essence I was punished by an RN over the vaccine so she sent me into the midst of the dreaded virus without any concern for my safety.  Is that attempted murder?  Black Widow Nurse?  What if I had contracted this deadly virus?  She did not care she was only interested in making me pay for not believing in the vaccine. Is this what our health care has come to where Joseph Mengalah will throw you into a virus filled floor hoping you catch it proving the point that a vaccine was needed.  Scary place we are in when you can't trust your health care people to look out for your wellbeing.  This nurse's only concern was proving me wrong on the vaccine and trying to intentionally get me sick with Covid.  In reality it proved another point that Covid isn't as deadly/contagious as they made it out to be or I should have gotten Covid while on the Covid floor. I will NOT PAY for being on the Covid Floor or anything connected with Covid since I was placed there intentionally to exact revenge by Nurse Julie C.  I am looking into an attorney to see if we have any recourse over this intentional attempt to infect me with Covid.  If Covid was as bad as stated then I would consider this attempted murder.  This is outrageous and unacceptable. read more

We had a less than satisfactory visit, we recently introduced a new life into the world. The nurses were helpful and nice, the amenities were great as well. My complaint comes from my wife's epidural, the anesthesiologist ended up misplacing the needle which ended up being a spinal rather than an epidural which could've gone very bad. By the time they reset the needle and gave time for the anesthesia to adjust my wife ended up giving birth with no anesthesia? read more

Recently I went to the emergency room with severe chest cold and was diagnosed as having Phenomia in both of my lungs. I was treated with very competent professionals and determined I needed to stay in the hospital. I was taken to the 6th floor and given a private room. Miserable as I was I was greeted very promptly and given some of the best care I have ever recieved. I want to recognize some outstanding nurses that took care of me for three days. They were Jordon, Sara, anf Alexa. They were very kind and saw to my every need. I've worked in retail my entire life and have learned that recommendations means a lot. I came in the other day because I slid on ice and fell straight on my back, the check in is fine whatever. I get back to a room and the nurses were very nice and patient with me being in excruciating pain. But my real reason for the 1 star is yes they take care of pain while you're there but they are on a no pain medication policy unless you have a broken bone basically. So I get to go home but I'm in the same pain I went to the er in now. The doctor said take ibuprofen and Tylenol for the pain and a muscle relaxer they prescribed. It's been one day and Im in the same pain I was when I went, ibuprofen isn't doing anything. If ibuprofen was going to work I would have never went to the ER in the first place. I don't go to the hospital for anything im not a med seeker I just need help, Im in so much pain I can't even sit on the toilet. Moral of the story skip this ER and go absolutely anywhere else. The care they provide is not worth the big bill. read more

I went to the behavioral health department at the hospital and the psych eval person said that I only come to the hospital when my parents are out of town and based the reason that I was there based off that which was a lie I was in crisis and she only made it worse and even after I told her that I wasn't safe at home and that I had weapons at home and I told her that I needed to go someplace safe like centennial peaks she told the nurses to discharge me and when they were discharging me they were going to just kick me out without a way for me to get home and this was on Wednesday February 2nd and it was really cold outside read more
