The woman working at Luther's was super friendly, and in addition to selling jerky, Luther's has a small convenience store and also a grill serving a limited menu of some BBQ and burgers. The place was clean and doesn't look like its changed much in a long time. Very old school vibes. I got a double cheeseburger which was cooked to order by the one person working that afternoon. The flattop was right behind the cash register. The burger came out quickly, and was super delicious. It had good flavor. I couldn't leave without some jerky. I got a couple of different kinds and some beef sticks. The hot jerky has been my favorite by far. Overall, a fun time at Luther's. I'd recommend it for anyone in the area looking for a good burger or some delicious jerky. I'll be back for sure!

The young man from the register soon brought out our order, and we were happy! I grew up with peppery collards on the south side of Chicago, and man! I was surprised to have such a good cup in KS! They were hot, so tender & peppered, and the meat in them was lean & juicy. My po boy had 5 shrimp- almost too many to fit into the roll, but they were breaded & fried, hot & crispy. The roll was fresh & well- stocked with tomato, lettuce & mayo. There is a free 'sample' of coleslaw given on each order it seems, but I did not care for mine. My husband really enjoyed his ribs; they weee smoky & tender and the portion was good. The okra was kind of a bummer; clearly an out-of-the-frozen bag kind, but he said it was clear the kitchen had prioritized the ribs, which were awesome. I do not eat a great deal of meat but when I do... I want quality. I was ill prepared for the wonderful experience that awaited me. The person that helped me, Brian, was terrific. He was super knowledgeable about products, preparation and taste. He even steered me away from higher priced items for lower priced things he thought I would like better. He was thorough and patient with my endless questions. He is very well suited to his job. They have all sorts of items in this quaint shop. They have cheese, jams, jellies, bread, eggs, kitchen equipment. From outside the shop, it does not appear to be very large inside and it isn't necessarily large.. just well packaged. The meat selection is vast... beef, pork, buffalo, chicken, lamb.... in every configuration you can imagine. They have steaks, ground meat, jerky. I learned so much just talking to Brian. There is ample parking and this store is located in a strip mall so there is easy access. Everything is sparkling clean and has a very nice atmosphere about the shop.
