I set an appointment for this place for 1/28. I wanted to be seen for diabetes maintenance,…read morefibromyalgia, and some other things that have me worried. (REALLY puffy feet, bad headaches, visual issues, and traveling numbness on my left arm.) Since we travel in an RV and live in AZ in the winter and travel in the summer, I wanted to establish a doctor in Yuma, where I am half of the year. I DO have health insurance that I pay for every month and have for over a year. This clinic was on the directory. When I was shooting the breeze with the nurse, I mentioned the weather and that I live in an RV and we'll be travelling up California in the summer. Then finally Brady Olsen, who I was appointed to see, came in and asked, "Do you live in an RV?" I said "Yes". He said, "You are a transient, we don't do that here". I thought he was kidding at first, so I asked, "What?" "We like to establish long term care for patients and you have too many health issues. We just don't treat transients" He then told me that he treats snowbirds because they live here for 6 months and then travel to somewhere else for 6 months. I told him that's what we're doing, we're just starting! At this point, he wasn't interested in talking to me anymore. He wanted me out of the office. He said, "Check out the Yuma Walk-In Clinic. They deal with transients". At this point, I can't believe whats happening. I never even got to tell him what's going on and what I need help with. The moment I said I live in an RV, he was done. Then, as he was ushering me out of the room, his 4 staff members were watching from the office area. He said, "We need to be more careful about transients". I interjected, "Because we're evil!" I was so upset! I felt humiliated because I was treated like a sub-human.

Then I was seen by FPN Pauline Dell. After reviewing my information was told to go buy decongestic and drink hot tea for my throat. Now in my past witch happens every year here in the desert and prescribed cortisone and antibiotics. I was denied good medical care. Right now, my wife is in ICU for same problem. Would not recommend this FNP.

My father was seeing dr. Silao for a number of years. Almost 4 years ago he found a spot on my dads…read morelung. He said "nothing to worry about. We'll keep an eye on it. 2 Years later they saw that the spot had grown. He did nothing. My dad was in the hospital to have his gall bladder removed (a whole other story). The hospital found that it was even bigger and was now calling it a mass. My dad was in the hospital and rehab combined for 5 1/2 weeks. Every day I asked when they would biopsy the mass. Dr. Silao never ordered the test. I have since moved my dad to denver. In less than three months he's been diagnosed with lung cancer. The tumor would have been easier to remove when it was small. Now he's in the hospital getting excellent care even though he had major surgery that could have been avoided if done when they first saw it. I believe him to be negligent in the care of my father.

I am happy to report that I was pleased with the treatment I received. From the front office staff, having vitals taken, and the time spent with the doctor- I was pleased. Staff were nice and friendly. The doctor did not rush me and was patient with all of my questions and concerns. They have their own pharmacy so that is also helpful. One stop shop.

I totally dislike the medical industrial complex and only went because Teladoc could not fill this particular prescription. They did not listen to me when my BP was elevated (because I get upset at these "clinics") I said my BP is normal except when I see "white coats"... Before I knew it, the rude NP said I needed all these tests, and might have a stroke instead of addressing what I was there for. They totally dismissed what I was saying and made a big deal of it. I ended up walking out of the appointment and changing my PCP when I got home. Their "care" was absurd making me feel I was a walking catastrophe! I am a fitness instructor of 45 years and felt they handled it terribly.
