Walked intro clinic Sat. Morn. 5-23-26 complaining of trouble breathing, tickling throat, draining Sinicis. and coughing. I was checked for covid and something else, both negative. Then I was seen by FPN Pauline Dell. After reviewing my information was told to go buy decongestic and drink hot tea for my throat. Now in my past witch happens every year here in the desert and prescribed cortisone and antibiotics. I was denied good medical care. Right now, my wife is in ICU for same problem. I had a very disappointing experience with Bio Family Clinic. The staff was rude and unprofessional, and I felt like some employees did not enjoy their job or care about providing good customer service. Patients should be treated with respect, but that was not my experience. I hope management addresses these issues and improves the way patients are treated. read more

My elderly mother had an appointment scheduled for the end of November. The office called us to cancel because the doctor was "not available" and rescheduled her for 12/31. We did not receive a confirmation call, so I called the morning of the appointment, only to be told my mother was marked as a "no show" in November. That is absolutely incorrect; the office cancelled and rescheduled the appointment. The staff member I spoke with today was dismissive and rude, and implied that we were mistaken rather than acknowledging that their office made an error. It also turns out that the person who "rescheduled" us never documented it, and now my mother cannot be seen for another month. This is unacceptable, especially for elderly patients who rely on timely care. Because of the repeated scheduling errors and poor customer service, we will be seeking a different provider. read more

I would give it zero stars if I could. I had an appt with Dobson for a psych consult. She was unprofessional, rude and confrontational from moment one. She broke HIPAA by following me out to the actual patient waiting room and talking loudly to me across the space and asking the office staff to give me back all of my paperwork. (There are only 2 doctors in that office and there were patients for the other Dr in the waiting room that I knew from my place of employment that now know I was seeing Dobson for psych) I then got BILLED for the ENTIRE appointment even though it never occurred and she did Zero assessment. I started with this clinic a year ago. My first appointment I waited forever to see the NP. She scheduled tests so I needed to make other appointments with them. The first was a bone density that would have taken less than 5 minutes. I showed up for that appointment and after waiting an hour I told the front that my time was valuable too and I left. Someone called to apologize and assured me that if I came back the next day I would be seen immediately. It was almost immediate. Today is my annual wellness check up. They have now consolidated most of their practices into one new building. If I have to wait longer than what I think is reasonable I will leave, find a new primary and write a follow up review here. read more

The wait time is ridiculous. The waiting room receptionist are always rude. Even worse if you call. The neurologist on staff is a quack. He wrote horrible comments on disability paperwork! The comment wasn't about me, but about how stupid the question was. I couldn't believe it. Why would he make such horrible comments to the ppl I am needing help from. Went into an appointment this morning. It said I have to reschedule. I was confused since I had a confirmation call yesterday. So the receptionist asked the person who does the schedule. I overheard her say the doctor said ,I'm done with her. Because I had to reschedule my last appointment. So with that being said I can't get my prescriptions filled. Nice BIO CLINIC. I would give them a zero if I could. The absolute worst. I usually don't give reviews because sometimes people have bad days. Ok here we go. My wife's cancer came back and made an appointment with a new doctor. Dr Barklay.( not spelled right) I've been in 3 x trying to get my wife's referral over to the cancer center and the referral was initially assigned to a doctor that hadn't worked for the Cancer center in2.5 years. Not a huge deal. Went back to the Bio clinic the Asian receptionist was training another at the front desk and was perturbed I interrupted her training while my wife hadn't been able to eat for a week! I was upset but kept it all in. Thinking issue resolved the referral was kicked back again. When I returned to the Bio clinic to get the referral sent again with the right doctors name on it I asked for a manager who politely listened and got to the bottom of it and I'm now waiting for the doctor to make appropriate changes so my wife can get her referral sent to the cancer center. Here's the rub. I said my wife hadn't been able to eat for a week and was in terrible pain. The so called manager and Asian girl laughed in my face. It took ever fiber of my being to not do something I would later regret. I've never had medical personnel laugh in my face after telling them respectfully their services are horrible. read more

The staff sucks! Very unprofessional environment... I can't tell if I'm in a drs office or a coffee shop! They couldn't pause their irrelevant personal conversations to acknowledge I was standing at the window. Then she was too lazy to extend her arm and was expecting me to put my arm completely through the window to place the paperwork in her hand. I waited more than 30 min to be seen! This was supposed to be a 15 min appt from start to finish. They gossip about each other to each other and about patients, loud enough for me to hear names and their gripes about them. Only came here because my company has an account here. Otherwise I'd never step foot in here much less give them any of my money! Horrible place. Always an hour or 2 wait with an appointment. Dr Fazil is a quake. All he does is give you tests, but never gives you the results. He never follows up with care. He allows his staff to bully and verbally abuse the patients. This office is filthy. I waited 2 months for the results of tests. I finally had to go to another doctor. Where they actually took care of me. I have made an official complaint with the AMA. This guy is an egotistical nut. He has won a million awards...all that he gave himself. Dr Fazil is very kind and takes plenty time with me when I need to see him which seems to be more and more as I age. LOL His staff is always helpful and ready to go above and beyond to assist. Like all Dr. offices sometimes you will have to wait an hour, sometimes a little longer but that is because Dr. Fazil takes his time with each patient. read more

Wow!!!!! Today my husband and I had our new patient exam with Loera Carter, N.P. This was the best physical exam either one of us have ever had! She took her time and gave us a full work up. I normally don't write any reviews that are good or bad, but this one was well deserved. ZERO STARS. This place is terrible. Access to water bathrooms and maneuvering in the waiting area is nearly impossible for people with walkers and wheelchairs. I couldn't believe it was like this, I looked up ADA compliance, they are out of compliance when it comes to access to those two areas. And I'm 99% sure there were others. It's really busy chaotic and unorganized. The Doctor we saw was rude to my elderly father, seemed bothered to have to raise his voice so my father could hear him, answered a phone call from his wife and then He was bothered that we reached for our phones when he took his call. Then asked me to tell my dad to put his phone away. I brought a detailed form from the VA with all his info and he waved his hand like he didn't need anything. Then asked us questions when those papers had all the answers ie..meds, bp info, tests results. I don't ever want to go back to this place again. Take your elderly parents somewhere else. My health insurance is saying i can't go to this surgeon without a referral from my primary care dr which is understandable even though they got a referral from my jaw surgeon and my jaw surgeon didn't need a referral for me to go see them so don't understand that part and bio clinic is saying they can't give me the referral without making an appointment and going in to see my primary care dr even though i saw her and addressed the jaw issue with her two weeks ago they are saying they have no documentation in my chart about the jaw thing. So i did file a complaint against bio clinic with my insurance. I shouldn't have to go back in to see my primary dr since i already saw her about this but they are insisting. I believe it's a money thing a way for them to make more money off of me and my insurance company. So the other surgeon cant see me without it even though I made preparations already to go. I have to go to Phoenix booked my hotel which because now it's so late I can't get my money back. Bought a bus ticket which I also can't use and I'm on a fixed income so this is eating into my pockets. So now i may have to cancel or reschedule it. I don't know if there's a chance i might still be able to keep that appointment if the referral goes through but I haven't heard anything back yet. So I told the receptionist there that I'll just come in as a walk in and she said she doesn't take walk-ins even though it clearly says throughout the building accepts walk ins. Not only that but they made appointments for a bone scan ekg bloodwork diabetic eye exam sent me for an ultrasound and I have to see different providers for the follow ups on all of these and they refused to group my appointments together for same day appointments because 2 doctors can't be billed for the same patient the same day again money motivated because the more appointment the more money they make. but it's a huge inconvenience to me because i do have a lot of health issues it does make it hard for me to keep going in to see them. so yes I feel that they care more about the money than the well being of the patient and not only all of this but there is one receptionist in particular that is condescending rude and belittling and not just to me if it was just to me i would take it as a personal thing but i have witnessed her be this insulting to other customers / patients. We are the customers they are suppose to provide a service and im not getting the quality of service I feel all of us patients deserve. If I am being treated in this manner how many other people are being treated the same way. Especially when people are coming to you to take care of their healthcare needs when they are not feeling well and they continue to treat people inhumanely. Went in to find new doctor at Foothills Yuma Clinic as my dr had passed away. Spoke to dr., who took all my info, said she would review everything later, but never called me back. I was given a ortho referral to another one of their provider drs, which turned out to be wrong as that dr could not address my issue. They also wanted to run bunch of tests, so they could bill Medicare. Disappointed as I had to find another dr who could treat me. Never again, waste of money. read more

I would advise anyone not to work here, for Dr Fazil no training, they show you once and the girls call in sick the next day so I'm on the job alone, he is not respectful of his female employees, very rude and disrespectful, he will talk about you to other staff members and in front of his clients to make himself look good, not a worthy place to work., the manager is scared of him she will not support you...., that is why I left, no benefits nothing, he calls and threatens you on the phone and hangs up. When I first came here I was in with a specialist and was very impressed. Since then I have become a primary care patient and so far am VERY Disappointed with their treatment of me. My first appointment was with Dr. Fazil, after waiting 30 minutes past my appointment I found out that he still had 2 patients waiting before he would see me. I canceled and rescheduled with Nurse Practitioner Ashley for a week later. Their front office people did not know that Specialty patients and Primary Care patients have different 1st visit documents. I had labs & a follow up appointment 1 week later. I checked in & while they were taking my vitals another employee came in & started speaking Spanish in front of me. I stated it was rude & after saying they were being rude 2 times, the MA who was taking my vitals had to explain to them that speaking Spanish in front of me was rude. I returned to the waiting area and when I wasn't called back for my appointment after 20 minutes I found out that I had been checked out. Finally saw her 40 minutes late. read more

Tried calling for an appointment 6 times each time I was put on hold for over ten minutes so I hung up went there in person today at 7:30 am only one receptionist working told her about all my calls and she said have a seat and I need to check this lady out and your next.it took her 40 minutes to check this lady out and at 8:00 am many workers showed up but they weren't ready to go to work and the girl that was supposed to help us check in started training another girl and all the other receptionists were doing nothing so we left . Clinic runs notoriously at least 45 minutes behind on seeing patients. If you need additional tests that need insurance authorization, you'll never get the test. Authorizations mysteriously get lost showing up a month later when they are almost expired. Or if tests are requested to another provider they only send half the needed paperwork. If I did my job the way their office personnel do theirs, I'd be out of a job quickly. Only one actual MD on staff, all others are NP's -- you need to be ok with that and realize you might be more knowledgeable than they are. I asked about a shingles vaccine and was told I wasn't old enough for one. I'm 52 - more than old enough to be concerned about it. She had to look it up then referred me to the state clinic to get it. SMH Needless to say, I'm shopping for a new clinic. read more

I like that place because many good specialists are in the same location but they take too long to call you after you arrive for your appointment. I had my appointment at certainly time and they took one hour to put me in the room and there I had to wait 20 more minutes to see the doctor. Not transgender friendly, as one of the doctors tell you she don't approve of my life style and you need to stop. Systems are always down, if you need medication you have to keep going back as they don't send it or it's not filled out right. If you need a specialist doctor, they can't even get the referral right. That happens two times already. One referral they had a month to send it. They failed on that, I'm sitting at my appointment now they can't see me because bio clinic can't send the right paperwork. The wait to get into see a doctor in bio clinic takes 2-3 hours. How are they in business? Update: After a month wait to see my eye specialist and sitting the the lobby. Bio clinic can not send referral as systems are down. So I have to reschedule. read more

I love the fact that they do most every thing within. Most definitely has lots of good BUT we all have limits and I have mine! I have gone to the trouble to go; not once but 3 times and have not got to see my provider. They keep messing up my app! THE FRONT IS AWFUL!!! I would give is less than a one star if I could. I have been really sick I'm throwing up everything for over two weeks now. I'm dehydrated my blood work at the hospital was terrible so I got an appointment here. I showed up filled out everything and they called on me and said "your doctor is running behind like an hour because she's going to go take her lunch" would you like to reschedule?". um excuse me waiting wasn't an option if it were I would go to the walk in clinic but to say they didn't have time for me at my appointment time for the doctor to take lunch?? I'm reporting them to my insurance and filing an ICE complaint. This review was removed...I'm putting it back up. Scheduled by my surgeon for a follow up after surgery. Couldn't get me in for 3 weeks. Bio called one day before appointment and told me Dr Fazil won't be in, rescheduled for the following Friday. Called again and told me Dr never sees patients Friday afternoons, Oops. It's been 24 days so far that I have waited. Now told another 14 days to fit in his schedule so they set me up with a Nurse Practitioner I have never seen that has three years experience (another two days) who has no reviews on line. I have a partially collapsed lung and it's very painful, worse by the day, I told them this. Always have to wait at least an hour past my appointment time, they triple book for the same time slots. Getting them to share records or do refills takes forever and in some cases my records were never sent even after many, many requests from specialist. If I request them they charge me by the page. Doctor will look over your record to see what tests your insurance will pay for even if you don't need them (they own all their own test equipment). Greedy. When I tell other offices who my regular doc is they always roll their eyes. Not sure why I have put up with this so long. Will find a new doc. or go to ER. DO NOT recommend Bio Family in the Foothills. Save yourself the grief. read more

I went to this clinic as a referral upon going there I found this place to be unprofessional during my interview for my appointment employees were exchanging st Patrick stuff right in front of me and all other patients I did complain to the manager after was seen only to be asked why and what did I discuss with the manager wth?!? I referred them to the manager that happened 2/26/24 on that day they made an appointment for me to see a podiatrist for 4/15/24 a month and a half later I get there today on time for them to tell THE DR IS NOT IN!! Wait what??? No phone call to let me know they said we called was unable to leave a message WHAT?!?! Explain why you can't leave a message on a cell phone? This isn't my first time being seen by this branch. My previous doctor was longer with bio clinic, so i was seen very briefly by Leoria. During this interaction, she asked why i was in. I replied with, "I'm here for my yearly checkup." she said that it would be scheduled and that it couldn't be done now because labs wouldn't be covered. I replied "thats ok. i can pay for it. " she then asked what the reasoning was. At this point, i hadn't acknowledged her demeanor and tone as disrespectful cause i had never been seen by her, but it was obvious that something bothered her. I asked, "Why would any of this be out of the question?" I asked for her name and walked out of the room. My interaction with her was definitely odd and concerning seeing that i was in to check on my health. That was my priority, and i thought someone working at a health clinic saw me would share that, but it wasn't the case today. I've been a patient at Bio Family Clinic for two years. I usually schedule my appointments for first thing Monday mornings, and have never had to wait very long. They did have one issue with a temporary receptionist earlier this year, but once she was gone, it went right back to normal again. The convenience of the on-site tests and the friendliness of Renee, Lauren, and Lacy more than makes up for it. They address all of my concerns quickly. I will continue to be a patient here for many years to come. read more

I just started with this Foothills Clinic because my HMO signed me up there. From my experience, it is not a good place to do business. Hours waiting to see the Doctor even after an appointment. People walking out angry claiming they have been there 2 hours and will have to reschedule. I shook my head when I heard this because I had already been sitting there for 3 1/2 hours. I had a test done with a referral that said results pending then months later the new office called and they said I never had the test. I caution you to stay away from this place. I went here for 4 years before having the courage of not listening to the doctors and found a much better place. 1.) they will bill your insurance company for procedures that never occurred, 2.) they will give you that breakdown of what they billed insurance company for and then send you a bill of all the procedures not covered at the end of the year. They sent me a bill for $10,000. 3.) they won't let you get your lab results until you see the doctor to go over there ding ding more money, 4.) the minimum wait time to see a doctor was 4 hours is it better now? Who knows i left. 5.) I was seeing dr fazil for pain management and they drug tested me every month and one month i didn't produce enough urine so they wouldn't give me my medication so they made me wait a month to see the doctor and of course my meds ran out but they didn't care. Then Dr. Fazil hires a new pain management doctor and she saw patients at a different location. From my first appt with this doctor their was red flags. I even told Dr Fazil and reported the doctor to the medical board well that doctor had her medical licenses suspended and she was a drug abuser. Now when i changed to another treating facility everything biofamily was telling me that according to the LAW had suddely was not when I was treated with real care. I agree with other reviewers that it can take hours to complete an appointment, but I have found Dr Fazil to be willing to take sufficient time to discuss your ailments. This is probably what puts him behind schedule so often. The clinic also has a full suite of diagnostic equipment, x-ray, MRI, cat scan, Echo cardio, lab service, allergy treatments, and probably more that I don't know about. Having all of this available in the Foothills is worth the wait. read more

This place is a joke. If you make an appointment you can bet you'll wait an hour in the waiting room. If you get an MRI at this place you'll have to walk across the parking lot to the semi trailers in the back lot and then put your robe on in a tiny 2X2 foot curtain area with no place to secure a purse or belongings. I have had to leave 2 times now within being seen because of the wait time. I even won't take any appointments later than 9am because (in theory) shouldn't they not be behind that early on the morning. Also- I take sleeping pills and Walmart refused a RX from Dr Fazil. They told me they don't accept controlled substance scripts from that doctor. NICE. read more

Waited for over two hours and spent a whole 5 minutes with the doctor. He didn't seem to care or take the time to listen or ask if we had any questions. We also asked at the desk for flu shots, but we never got one. Poor management, no reason to wait more than half an hour to see the doctor, so the desk needs to rethink their scheduling. But we have found that Yuma has poor medical period. read more
