Well, I found one!. I called up Lumina Dental and got the Brandon office, which is the main office. Really nice people. got an immediate appointment at the Lutz facility as it was the closest to my home. When I got to the facility I was seen right away and given a very thorough examination with xrays. I met the dentist, Dr. Rocio Barocio-Rasmussen. She was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me of what I had going on. Not only a cracked tooth but a cavity as well. Uck! I thought I was going to have a heart attack. So, with everything explained, I had no choice to get the crown that was needed and the cavity filled, killing two birds with one stone (no punt intended). I must say that I felt NO PAIN OR NEEDLE! She was a sweetheart and always asked me if I was ok. I was in the chair for about 5 hours, but I didn't care. I wanted it done right and with no pain. She was very meticulous and took her time to make sure everything was done right. I can't thank this dentist enough! Keep in mind the only reason why I am giving a 4 star and not a 5 is not because of the dentist. Its the FACULTY at the center! They kept pushing the sales pitch of getting me to have more work done, even as I was in the middle of the procedure! Not once, but at least 3 times even after telling them to not ask me again or think they can pressure me to get the work done and spend money I don't have. In addition, right now it was not necessary and it could wait. They screwed up the financial situation and had to physically go into the office to sign a paper for a refund to be transferred to the financial situation for a partial refund. It was ridiculous!! I know that if there is an emergency i will definitely go back to this dentist, but there better not be another incident with the bookkeeping or the sales pitches. I am pretty straight forward and don't hold back when really upset. So you can definitely trust this review!

The entire staff is wonderful. Somehow my hygienist remembers past conversations and always follows up on things we talked about at my appointment six months before. My appointments usually begin right on time and if I do have to wait, it's never for very long. I usually only see the dentist for a few minutes after my cleanings, but she's always very nice and professional. Having the same hygienist every time is so much better for me than just showing up and having someone new. We've got the hands-and-tools-in-your-mouth-but-we're-still-having-a-conversation language down pat. It makes the time go by much faster and beats the hell out of awkwardly staring at the overhead light for 45 minutes. It may sound silly, but it's a great thing having a dentist's office that doesn't give you anticipatory heart palpitations. This is a wonderful, if small, facility with great people. While their practice is 1 year new, Mr Carota was a dentist during his service in the military with many years of experience! We were happy about that as we are military family. I first landed on his website by looking dentists near me, and I found that they are bilingual Incase anyone needed to know. Please, do yourself a favor and call to either set new care with them. Btw, they alter medical records to cover up! 1. The biting X-Ray stick stinks 2. There are rusting everywhere 3. No CCTV in the treatment room for the protection of both the patient and the business 4. Inexperienced people (both hygienist and front desk staff) who cannot even put the bite stick properly to take X-Ray. I had to puked twice for them to finally gave up. I have a gag reflex, but other dentist offices always did it right. Btw, one of the metal sticks from that bite stick penetrated my mouth once a little bit. 5. I should not have come here after I receive a text 2 hours before the appointment saying that they will cancel the appointment if I don't confirm within 15 mins because they cannot call me. That was the 1st attempt to confirm the appointment and try to cancel like this!! 6. The appointment started ~11:00 AM, they haven't started cleaning by 12:50. I told the doctor that we can go over the treatment plan but have to reschedule for another day because I have to work at 1 PM. He said OK and that they are waiting for insurance. At 1 PM, I tried to checkout at the front desk and explained that I have to work now, so I am leaving. She said, "We haven't checked you out yet. Can't you take an absence from work?". I work remotely, so I have to join the meeting now on my phone. She could have said let's reschedule cleaning instead of these sarcastic comments. I asked can you make another appointment for cleaning. She said I thought you were in so much in a hurry to work. (Being sarcastic again!). It turns out that the hygienist won't be available till 2 PM. Nobody even informed me that, and I was waiting in the treatment room! We cannot spend the entire day at the dentist for a simple cleaning. People have work, other appointments, etc... The only one here who acted professional was a dentist. I was very patient this entire time despite these negative experiences. There isn't even any patient when I came in except 1 who came later. It is not even a busy office like how other dental offices are.
