I instead went back to my original dentist in South Tampa who confirmed that, while I did need a cleaning, I did not need to be seen by a periodontist nor did I need a cleaning under anesthesia. My wife recently went to the practice, which apparently has all new physicians and hygienists because the other ones left, and was told that she had two cavities and needed them addressed immediately which she did not do because she has never had a cavity in her 39 years. This place is a scam and all they do is push for you to get unnecessary treatment so they can overcharge. I would highly suggest not going to this practice.

He made me feel comfortable and listened to my reservations and concerns. I loved the dental hygienist! He was welcoming and polite and made the entire experience comfortable. He took the time to explain dental hygiene using analogies and visual aids as well as a bit of humor. The entire staff is wonderful. Somehow my hygienist remembers past conversations and always follows up on things we talked about at my appointment six months before. My appointments usually begin right on time and if I do have to wait, it's never for very long. I usually only see the dentist for a few minutes after my cleanings, but she's always very nice and professional. Having the same hygienist every time is so much better for me than just showing up and having someone new. We've got the hands-and-tools-in-your-mouth-but-we're-still-having-a-conversation language down pat. It makes the time go by much faster and beats the hell out of awkwardly staring at the overhead light for 45 minutes. It may sound silly, but it's a great thing having a dentist's office that doesn't give you anticipatory heart palpitations. This is a wonderful, if small, facility with great people. While their practice is 1 year new, Mr Carota was a dentist during his service in the military with many years of experience! We were happy about that as we are military family. I first landed on his website by looking dentists near me, and I found that they are bilingual Incase anyone needed to know. Please, do yourself a favor and call to either set new care with them.
