I had called to establish dental care for my daughter in April (this month) and notified them on the phone call that I could see a developing cavity in my daughter's mouth. I specifically asked if they could treat cavities in office for her (knowing she's a toddler based on her birthdate) and they said they would need to do an evaluation and would do treatment a different day. They NEVER told ME DIRECTLY that they can't handle sedation treatments for toddlers. We proceeded to come in and evaluate the cavity only to be told they can't treat cavities in office for toddlers. And it wasnt in a polite "oh I'm sorry you were misinformed" or "I'm sorry there was a misunderstanding." No. Instead, Dr. Dimick rudely interrupted me, held her hand up, and told me she would read through transcripts that would show I was told. Lo and behold, the transcripts never show them telling me. Supposedly 5 months prior (December of 2025) when my husband was calling dentists to find a dentist for our kids, he was told. I was not told. And 5 months later when I'm calling to establish care and I'm specifically telling them there's a cavity, why would they not "reiterate" such vital information?! I would NEVER have wasted time and money there if they would've been transparent and upfront with me, and confided they that are unable to treat cavities in toddlers. What is the point of a pediatric dentist who can't treat?? And more so, a dentist who so rudely claims to have told me things they did not. Absolute insanity and a waste of time. A scam of a dentist as I've found to be common in this area...Take money from you and claim they "evaluated" but doesn't have the ability to treat. This is the worst medical practice, of any specialty, that I have ever had the misfortune to interact with. My child is an orthodontics patient. He has now had 4 different orthodontists, over the course of a single set of braces, because the orthodontists keep quitting, and they keep hiring new ones. Every orthodontist has a new treatment plan, and every orthodontist has made errors that prolongs the treatment. The first orthodontist could not glue the brackets on appropriately. We had brackets falling off mere hours after an appointment, and he would never apologize or change technique, but would instead just blame my child. Another orthodontist lectured my child about wearing his rubber bands incorrectly, until we showed her photographic evidence that he was wearing them exactly as she had instructed. Another recommended filing down one of his teeth (!), which we declined. That one bounced after less than 6 months with the practice, and the most recent orthodontist said that this (painful, expensive) intervention was be totally unnecessary. If I had the money, I would have started over with another practice, but unfortunately I've already paid these people and I don't have second-set-of-braces-for-one-child money. I took my other child for a consultation with another orthodontist, and mentioned that my oldest child was with Lone Star. She said, and I quote, "Yikes. That's a bad practice. I think it's been taken over by a VC firm, which is why it's constant turnover." I haven't even touched on the disorganized and understaffed front office, or the difficulty communicating with the office in case of urgent matters. 0/10, worst medical office ever. Kayla gave so much attention to my teeth that I don't ever want to see anyone else. I was a late appointment at the end of the day and even after a long day of work, she was very thorough. I've had some hygienist that just go thru the motions, but Kayla really took time to polish, work out stains and paint fluoride on my teeth. She was meticulous. My wife and I started going here before Covid. The office was great at that time. However, over…read morethe past two years we noticed a dramatic change: over-crowded, manic and some techs who did not seem well trained. On one visit my wife was left in a back room for an hour and someone finally came back and said "Are you still here?" Last November they found a problem with one of my wife's teeth and said it need to be extracted and replaced with an implant: cost $8000. We trusted them and an appointment was set up with a visiting oral surgeon to do the work. He was extremely brutal and left the room without a word with her bleeding and the staff left to clean up his mess. We later found out he had knocked out a piece of bone from her jaw during the procedure. Several visits later and after multiple x-rays the oral surgeon determined the bone had grown back enough for the implant. But my wife was not willing to submit to his brutality and indifference. They then referred my wife to a specialist outside her office. The specialist took x-rays and determined that my wife's jaw was damaged to the point of not being suitable for an implant without additional extensive oral surgery - even if then. In fact, her mouth, tooth and jaw were so small that an implant was a questionable option to begin with. The specialist suggested a permanent bridge rather than an implant. We did some research and found a reliable dentist who performed the necessary procedure. But it did not end there. I decided to have an exam with the new dentist despite the fact I had a cleaning just a few weeks before. The exam disclosed that after more than 5 years of "care" at Shipp's office, I had gingivitis and was never told...
