I generally like this place, however, they lady I had last time was not very good. She did not remove my dry skin, which is the reason i got a pedi. When I asked her, she said it would hurt..... I get it done all the time. My feet were incredibly dry and I had to buy a roller to remove my dead skin. On top of that, I had to REFILE my nails because they were not even. It sucks because she was very pleasant but did a terrible job. In addition, we went during the morning where they offered 15% off and they charged my full price. No one was sure how to do traditional basic white tip acrylic set. The white was way too low looked very bulky not complimenting at all I was quite opposite and kept hiding my hands. They claimed no one could do a painted on v tip on natural nail unless it is gel. Umm okay that is still however the same just a bit more drying time. Which was how I ended up with my go to acrylic French tip. Big regret. Pedicure was ehh had to request the cheese grater but I'm pretty sure she grabbed a used spuce scrubber from another cart. This is my regular place but I have t been in a really long time because I was working and going to school for a few months and life was busy BUT came back and the menu for pedicures updated this year. This was my first time getting French and I didn't realize until after but he didn't use a pink tinted base so you may want to make sure you confirm your base color before just relaxing and seeing the end result. Otherwise I LUV this place. A French was only an extra $7 which is a steal as an add on and it's great. My only feedback is they didn't clean under my nails and I think that should be standard considering I got the Spa Pedicure that came with scrub, paraffin, mask, and a 10 min massage. Second time in a row that I've shown up on time for the appointment I scheduled, and second time that I've had to wait upwards of 30 minutes to actually get my nails done. I scheduled an appointment for 11, right when they open, knowing I have an event that I need to be at by 1. All I'm getting done is a fill and a color. I walk in and there's only one person doing the nails, everyone else is off. She tells me it's going to be at least a 35 minute wait. I tell her I have an event that I need to be at by 1 (it's like 10 minutes from LUV), and that this is really inconvenient to my planning. She just shrugs at me and doesn't offer any accommodation. Checked out this nail salon today (Wednesday afternoon) for a gel manicure, ($35) During lunch hour, there was no wait. They have so many color choices; some Brands they carry include DND, OPI. They Tools used come in a sterilized pouch and the whole experience was very sanitary. The decor was very bright,, modern, alluring. My forearm testing against the table was a bit uncomfortable but I switched hand position frequently so it didn't matter too much.. My nail tech was polite, detailed, and thorough. The music is a bit boring as it was mostly soft instrumental ballards/covers. I guess it sets a spa mood but I rather have something more stimulating if I can't look at my phone or have a conversation with my tech. Went to this place to get a wax on my eyebrows and they are scabbed. I asked them for a refund. They did not respond to my text. I tried to be polite no response in two days. They do good nails but when it comes to waxing I did tell my skin is very sensitive be mindful and now every product I put on my face makes my skin burn. Even my most dermatologist recommended face products burn And they have done nothing at all no refund no call no discount no sorry nothing haven't heard a word from them. This is a definite never return for me. My son was at Avenue Five getting a scalp treatment and I decided to head over to LUV to get a pedicure. The moment I walked in, the vibe was really weird and unfriendly - I felt like I was a nuisance. I was told to sit in a chair and put my feet in the water running. It was ice cold. I don't want to put my feet in ice cold water, so I politely tried to let anyone know that the water was cold, smiling and trying SO hard to not to seem like a jerk. I was ignored and told to sit down. I didn't put my feet in the water and waited for someone to come over that I could ask to make it much hotter. A woman finally came over and I let her know. She made the water barely warm. I should have just walked out then, but again, I'm worried about seeming like a jerk. (this is something I have decided now that I am going to get over and never tolerate what I did here that day) I was given a book, asked what I wanted. I said I would like the Pina Colada pedicure. I then was asked if I wanted gel polish or regular, and let them know I wanted regular. Was then given 3 books to choose a color. I find a color I like and am told it only comes in gel. Ok. I'll go with gel. But why give me that particular book knowing I didn't want gel? Upsell. Ugh. Booooo. I'm now sitting in a chair, with water was barely warm. The woman doing my pedi was not friendly at all and seemed borderline aggressive with moving my feet around. A Pina colada salt texture powder is then put in the water. There's no real smell. It doesn't make my feet feel any softer. My feet were rinsed with cold water throughout the pedicure. When the woman doing my pedicure clipped, then filed two of my toenails down to the quick and my toes were bleeding. I kept telling her she was hurting me and she would laugh, grab my ankle and keep going. It was such a weird experience. I paid for all these yummy upgrades on my pedicure, but couldn't even relax because the pedicure was never relaxing - it was more like an angry mother shoving her kid around. My feet saw no improvement and the products seemed cheap. If I'm paying $80 for a pedicure, it would have been super cool if it was worth it. This was not. read more

Sad to have to share that LUV Nails & Spa is on my NO list. Their hygiene standards are not up to par and they gave me a BACTERIAL INFECTION on two fingers! I went to LUV before a big trip to South America for a mani and gel pedi. The nail tech (older lady) was on the rough side when it came to shaping my nails. She pushed a file under the corner of my nails and pinched my skin - ouch! She did let up a bit when I said ouch but she could have been a lot more gentle. I did notice that the buffers look used and tools weren't in a medically sealed pouch. Not sure if they sterilize their tools as I did not see an autoclave. My fingers were mildly sore that day and the day after. But yikes, so painful on day 3 when I was on a plane! My infected fingers turned slightly blue/purple at one point and were so sensitive. I messaged my doctor with photos and she prescribed antibiotics. It was an uncomfortable week for me. Finally, my appointment was at 11am on Sunday. Shop was closed when I arrived 5 min before my appointment and the staff did not show up until 11:15am. Two other customers were waiting outside. No apologies to anyone. No acknowledgment of their tardiness or my having to wait. Very unprofessional. The staff seem nice enough. Nail tech did a decent job outside of the filling and infection but I won't be going to LUV again. read more

I paid $58 for a Sugar Scrub pedicure and did not receive the full service AT ALL! They did not do any calluses treatment what so ever and my feet feel the same as what they were before i came in. My toenail bed was not cleaned out and still have dead skin on the side of my toenail and only trimmed at the top. The shellac has something in-bedded into the polish and is popping out. After speaking to the manager about the service that was advertised and what i did not receive, he said i have to request for that service to be done, SOOOOO if you want your calluses treated please ask or else they WILL NOT DO IT AND CHARGE YOU FOR THE SERVICE. He did not offer to fix the errors that were made and still made me pay full price for my toes to basically me pained with shellac and have lotion lathered on my legs. After complaining to my husband about the service i received he called and requested to speak to the manager, the manager had the audacity to call my husband a liar and said he will not do a refund. He did offer for me to return to fix the errors but that should have been offered before i even stepped out or paid for my service. I feel so sad to write this. I've been coming here for over a year. The first set I had done were excellent. Depending on the techs I got after, some were great, and some were awful. The nail-in-the-coffin was this Sunday. The gentleman that did my nails was outrageously rude- and I typically find I get along with almost anyone. He was rolling his eyes in conversation and down-cutting the topic of my knowledge and profession when it came up. I would tell him an interesting fact and he'd scoff and say "I don't know about THAT." You might be thinking the conversation was in some way controversial? Nope. We were talking about trees. When looking at my nails, he asked with a disgusted look where I got them done last- that they were way too thick. I agreed that he was right. They were way too thick- I informed him that I got them done at this same salon. He again scoffed and asked, "It was a lady that did them, right??" Egging me on to talk badly about a coworker he apparently doesn't like. I informed him the last person that did my nails was the owner- another gentleman. To soak the gel polish off my nails, he had me soak my fingertips in a small bowl that was very dirty with a red polish. I figured it was just a stain, until the red from the bowl bled into the water (the polish i was having removed was clear glitter), and the used polish of another customer started to cover the skin of my fingertips. Very unsanitary and gross. From there, he told me diet changes he thought I should make to help my nails. I politely thanked him for trying to help, but explained that my nails were thin as the result of too many acrylics. When he pushed further insisting that I should follow his advice, I let him know that my doctor advised me in a different direction for bone health etc. Again he scoffed at me and rolled his eyes, "Well I don't know where you THINK you heard that." My doctor sir. My literal doctor. I came to the salon to relax, not have an arguement with a guy who apparently has to be "more" correct than me at every turn. The cherry on top is that when he was finished the manicure, he said. "Well they look ugly but at least they're healthier." Wow. Thanks. My total for a pedicure and having the polish on ny hands removed (and a "manicure" that included no polish- not even a clear coat) was $83 before the tip. Yikes. I used to love this place because of the convenient location and the kind people. Some nails I had done in the past were questionable, but I returned because I liked having a regular place and good conversations. However, I would not pay to come here again, especially to have my nails called "ugly" and be demeaned by some guy. So disappointing. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars -was greeted by CJ who identified himself as the manger and he was extremely warm and friendly; new to the area this was a great start to securing a permanent nail tech. Ambiance was great and we were even given mimosas. CJ paired me with a tech to do my nails and it seemed as if he leaned towards every short cut. Tech did minimum filing for fill, I wasn't asked to wash my hands and he did not place base coating before applying gel polish. New to the area and salon, I wanted to give him the benefit of doubt and attributed to this is just how they do things. The next day while getting dressed for work, polish from my nails was "melting away" (for lack of better term)-I just submerged from shower and my polish had started to peel back. I left work early to head back to Luv Nails to make them aware and there was a sign on door saying they were closed, I tried the next day and same sign was there. I ended up going nearby and having a different salon repair, but it was at the same cost as the refill Luv's did. On day three the sign was finally gone and salon was open. I asked to speak to CJ and was told he wasn't there but Trung Cao, identified himself as the manager and basically said since I had already gotten it fixed he could only give me 15% off next visit. I felt this was unfair considering I attempted to allow them to fix but they had closed salon abruptly and as a professional I couldn't possibly walk around another day with my nails looking that way. I wish I could give 0 stars. I've been to LUV a few times and never had any issues, but this last set I went for went horribly. I got a full acrylic set on Wednesday. By Friday, 3 of them had popped off, and the rest were lifting, about to pop off. I went in Saturday and had them replace those that had popped off, but had an event to get to that evening, so didn't have time for them to fix them all, I was hoping the lift wasn't so bad they would pop off. By Sunday morning, 6 more of my nails had popped off. They said I could come in and get them fixed, but with work and the upcoming holiday, I just didn't have time to make it there (I went on Wednesday for a reason), I tried to make it there Monday but realized it just wasn't going to happen before I went away for Thanksgiving. I called the salon and asked if I could just get a refund so I could go somewhere else once I am home from Thanksgiving. They said they didn't know why they popped off, it could have been my nail beds (this has never happened to me in my 15 years of getting acrylics), and they don't issue refunds because then how would they pay for the service I had received... I understand if I had not been willing to come in but I already went in once and it should take 3 visits to the salon for a full set, I am not made of time. They refused to issue a refund for the service, and the person on the phone said "I have work to do, I'll call you back" and hung up on me. I give folks a lot of grace, but I am extremely unhappy with the service that I have received and want my money back. I tried to be understanding that things happen, we can't control all factors but I just don't have time to be going to the nail salon 3 times in one week. read more
