This store has so much candy! Lots of retro candy, plenty of foreign candy (multiple flavors of Kit Kats including flavors of chunky kit kats, hi chews and some other Asian candies (a bunch of options, but I can get all of them in Chicago's chinatown so I didn't pay attention), Aero bars, Terry's oranges, and other British candy. There were so many retro candy options, plus every kind of candy you've ever heard of. (I eat too much candy, and know a lot of types of candy and I was blown away by the options). They also had lots of types of pop, but I didn't pay much attention to them. I wanted my sugar in chocolate form. I am a chocoholic, and I was very happy to find this place. I got some creams from the case (dark chocolate raspberry cream, orange cream, strawberry cream, vanilla cream). They were delicious. These are better than my former favorite Fannie May (which sadly isn't as good as it used to be). I also got some chocolates in the bulk chocolate section. The chocolate covered cherries are amazing as is the chocolate covered orange peel (though jellier than I was expecting inside). The chocolate covered pecans are fine (but I don't usually get these so maybe chocolate covered pecans aren't my thing). The store is cute! It had a Lego Willy Wonka set! The candy selection is flat-out unparalleled. Bun bars, Necco wafers, saucers, Zero bars, salt water taffy, the cheap-but-still-damn-good Willy Wonka stuff - you name it. If I ever saw it in a candy store as a kid, it's sitting on a shelf in this place. They've got the "finer" items, too: solid milk chocolate, actual truffles, bonbons, the works. Sugar free stuff? Yeah, that too. And the retro/craft pop ("soda," for those of you who never learned the proper word) is outstanding. It was creamy and delicious. One child said it was the better mocha she has every tried. I got the large iced brunette. It was amazing. I cannot believe the sizes. I got the large, it was quite literally a bucket of coffee. I did not realize how super huge it would be. The mocha and the smoothie were both mediums, and those were quite large portions as well. Lo and behold, there was a beautiful birthday cake with my name on it, spelled just like I spell my name! She was very thorough and went through the history of weddings, and showed me how to pose for wedding cake cutting pictures. I decided to book her despite the mishap with the tasting appointment (her daughter got married the week before). She offered me a discount for her mishap, which really made it worth it. (She's inexpensive to begin with). The design of the cake was a very vintage, lace cake design, and it couldn't have been more perfect the day of. Everyone wouldn't stop raving about the cake and that we had SO MANY flavors. Guests were also happy they got to pick which one they wanted, instead of being force fed whatever was given to them. We had a ton of leftover cake, and we were able to take it home with us. She makes extra cake to feed the kitchen and waitstaff, and doesn't charge you for it. (Makes you look like a rockstar). They stayed to cut the cake for us, and were super professional. They even brought their own boxes. They would have brought napkins, plates, forks, knives, etc. if the venue wouldn't have provided those for us. Jackie was even nice enough to lend us a cake cutting set (I forgot to buy one...
