The scents I made smelled really nice, so that is why I say the concept is cute. But whoever they had teaching the class that day needs to find a job not working with the public, I'll just leave it at that.

The doors won't open until 5 minutes before your reservation time so I stood outside the entrance and waited until the doors were unlocked. Overall, the experience was fine but I felt like I wasn't given enough attention because there were larger parties/others who purchased the more expensive deluxe package at our reservation. My friend was running a bit behind due to an accident on 95. Loomen Labs has a grace period of 10 minutes. The woman working there said after 10 minutes it would be considered a reschedule. My friend arrived after 10 minutes and the employee said I would have to catch her up to speed on everything on my own. Again, I totally didn't mind doing this. Towards the end, it felt like the experience was rushed. The woman working there was not enthusiastic about anything and answered questions with a slight attitude. I could feel the energy shifting as the night went on. After I got my perfume alcohol mixed in with my preferred scents, I filled up the 10ml sample bottles. It turned out to be enough perfume to fill only two and a half. The third one was only halfway full. Not sure where I went wrong with that. The interior is tiny and the tables are not that far apart so that's something to consider if you book on a busier day with other guests present.

Enjoyed that they had a variety of not just paper, journals and pens but also locally sourced items like coffee, books and stickers. The shop was pretty crowded during my visit, probably a dozen people or so in the small space. This made me happy to see so many people shopping local. Eventually, after browsing most of the store, I decided to get a coffee bean pendant for my Traveler's Notebook. I've seen this same charm online for upwards of $20. Omoi's was $18. Definitely a value there! The service was excellent. While ringing me up one of the ladies running the register grabbed the Traveler's Notebook stamp (which you have to ask for) and let me do my thing. The stamp for the Traveler's Notebook is pretty cool, it features a soft pretzel and Water Ice.

Omoi was close to where we were coming to / heading to, so I bookmarked it and we managed to stop by before they closed. It was actually really poppin when we got there, despite the fact that it was about 30 minutes to closing time. I wasn't really on the market for anything, just wanted to browse. I ended up picking up some cute notepads for a friend and some washi tape for myself. I love that they sold matchbooks here! I am an avid matchbook collector, despite not smoking a day in my life. Staff were super nice and very friendly.

I whipped out my navy blue titanium Iphone 15 and viciously typed "flowers" into Apple Maps, and Walter Pine Floral Studio became the obvious choice. Yes, I use Apple Maps. Y'all still using Google Maps?! or God forbid... Waze!!? COULDN'T BE ME!! After standing outside for a minute to catch my breath after my ELITE 9 min/mile pace, I entered. I was immediately struck with inspiration, as this is the most beautiful Floral Shop I have been in and I actually have been in a good amount of them for being a straight male ahahaha. I just couldn't stop smiling in there. As I was standing there breathing heavily and smiling, one of the employees, Taylor, walked up to me with a bigger smile than I had on and asked if I needed help with anything. I told her I just wanted to get some flowers for my girlfriend and that she hated roses but loved tulips... She said "Awesome!" and brought me over to the bouquet station and gave me a little rundown on what she thought. She was so helpful, big up to Taylor!! She said it would take about 5-10 minutes, and that Chloe would be the one putting the bouquet together. I was cool with that because honestly I wanted to look around, they had such a great selection of hand curated items including but not limited to cards, matches, candles, house plants, flowers, hanging plants, chocolate, ornaments, vases, pots, etc. I ended up getting her matches (she loves matches), the boquet ($35), and a card that said "I am so glad you were born." It wasn't her birthday or nothin, but I am glad she was born ahahaha. The bouquet ended up being BEAUTIFUL and my girlfriend absolutely loved it lol. Chloe did her mf THANG! She immediately put them in a vase and right on the table. I honestly wasn't the biggest fan of Tulips before, but they've grown on me. I think I just learned so much about the Tulip Mania in Econ class that I was off them... FELLAS, WALTER PINE FLORAL STUDIO *IS* THE PLACE! IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

Long before South Street Art Mart was a thing I had art of its owners placed throughout the city. When they had the chance to acquire a space of their own they filled it with the works of several local artists within its community, and as such it's the perfect spot to find all art things that are local Philly and pop culture related. I love shopping at the Art Nart for gifts and things of my own because they have plenty of unique and reasonably priced items that cover a variety of ground. Whether you're looking for framed art prints or clothing, magnets or zines, light fixtures or hats, and then some, you'll find it within. And during times like the holidays, their website makes for a comprehensive gift guide that caters to all kinds of themes. Favorite finds of mine include framed custom prints of David Bowie and the Phillie Phanatic, Bob's Burgers and Serial Mom magnets, holiday cards with Gritty and Ben Franklin, and a long sleeve black shirt with a female version of Gritty on the front. When it comes to local art that's curated and sold by local artists, South Street Art Mart is definitely among the best spots to shop at.
