We selected Access RV based on their excellent review at the Utah location (the main office). However, we do not feel Jackson location is up to the bar of the main office. The local manager Kody was nice and responsive. He let us take the RV earlier than 2pm and called us ahead to make sure we would arrive at their new location. During the trip, I always got timely responses from Kody in calls/text for any problems. Some detailed comments: I watched all orientation videos a few times beforehand, but I still feel the orientation/introduction process was too rush during the check-in. If you did not ask, you would probably miss something on your trip. Fortunately, we took the video while Kody was introducing the RV, so we did not need to remember so many things in a very short time. Their website claims all their RVs are 2017 and 2018 models, so I expected a pretty decent shape RV. However, the RV we got looked old and had 14000 miles on it. The floor and the couch looked old. When we picked up the RV, the gas was not full and water was not full (we requested the full tank of water). The black tank was not dumped completely (we were told some previous renter used non-RV toilet papers). Once we drove out the RV and headed into our first RV site near the Yellowstone west entrance, We found a few other issues: a couple of curtains seemed not working well and could not be fully opened up; Windshield fluid was empty and the bugs/dust could not be washed off while driving. When we arrived at our first RV site, we found out even more problems: the water heater was not working and the water hose was missing. Kody asked us to buy a water hose at the RV site and he reimbursed us later. However, we did not have any hot water for the first night. The next day, Kody drove to our RV site and fixed the water heater for us. We did have another unexpected issue, but it was not Access RV's responsibility. The skylight lid/cover got cracked during our trip in Yellowstone and we did not know what happened. Our cell phone had no signal which prevented us from calling Kody. I had it fixed in a repair shop near Fishing Bridge RV Park and was charged about $100. When I returned the RV, I was told if I had it fixed at Access RV, I could be charged $200. Overall, our first RV rental was not very pleasant. We thought a local non-chain RV company should have better service and newer RVs, but we were wrong, even though the local company charges more than the chain ones.

Most disappointingly, the head office claim never to have heard about this from the local office where I picked up and dropped off the RV. Pretty poor all round I would look elsewhere.

I purchased a new Winnebago from this dealership in March. As I write this review in late August,…read moreit remains on a service lot. It's been there for a better part of the summer. I've never been able to use it, in fact, I don't know when it will be returned. To make a very long story short, Smith RV lied about the age of the vehicle. As a result, it's in service with extensive weather damage. Work is currently being done by another Winnebago dealer in Boise. They've replaced everything from the automatic jack to the lower half of the slide-out. Smith RV is completely MIA. When I initially contacted Winnebago and found out about the age of the vehicle, I confronted the General Manager. Her immediate response was "it's not illegal." To underscore that point, she restated it several times. This was witnessed by a passenger in my vehicle. The call ended with a promise to follow-up, but I never heard from Smith RV again. From that point forward, the GM wouldn't accept or return my phone calls. Unfortunately, it doesn't end there. The servicing dealer discovered two unsecured batteries in a metal storage bin with the propane tanks. The batteries were installed by Smith as part of an upgrade package. According to the tech, they could've easily tilted, sparked, and caused an explosion. The camper is designed for off-road use, so this is a strong possibility. For that reason, it's not even road worthy. At this point, I don't expect Smith RV to act with any level of integrity. Actions up to this point dictate otherwise. I'm writing this review as a warning to other consumers. It's unacceptable that Smith lied about the age of the Winnebago. It's unconscionable that they then refused to help in any way. It's egregious that they put my life at risk. Smith RV isn't just dishonest, they're reckless. "It's not illegal" is a pretty low bar for any business. When businesses set that standard, consumers get hurt - emotionally, financially, and physically. I'm fortunate the latter didn't happen, but it was a definite possibility.

We had a great experience buying the RV, and we felt that everyone was very kind, straight-forward and patient. In retrospect, though, I have two complaints. The first is their partnership with Good Sam's. Nothing good about it. Aaron, her sales person, convinced my mom to buy the extended warranty plan from Good Sam's, which seemed to make sense, as she was buying a used RV and we have no skills in fixing it ourselves. But when the heater stopped working in the middle of the night (and it was 8 degrees, by the way), Good Sam's claimed not to have her policy. Our experience with Camping World's customer service has been less than stellar (second complaint). It's very hard to get someone on the phone who can help with any issue. That said, Mom was able to get someone on the phone finally yesterday. Her name was Leslie, and she was very helpful, tracking down all the records that Good Sam's claimed not to have, including the date Good Sam's cashed the check for her payment on that warranty, since they also claimed to have never been paid. Bottom line: don't be convinced to do business with Good Sam's. Find another policy. It's too late for my mom, and I'm very disappointed that Camping World would recommend that anyone, let alone a retiree who is using her RV as a residence, do any business with Good Sam's.

No specific reason for purchasing from CW other than Coleman trailers are exclusive to them. I was a little worried because of all the negative reviews I'd heard. Our purchasing experience was pretty smooth. We did our homework and knew we did not want to purchase any of the additional warranties/coverages. We have used our trailer regularly over the summer and early fall. The only issue we had was not the fault of CW. We had an ongoing problem with our trailer slide. The service department was great about getting us in and when the problem wasn't fixed initially, they followed up with the manufacturer until the problem was fixed solved. Casey and Jesse were great! Overall a good experience. I'm a firm believer that you 'get what you pay for' in the sense of being educated before making a big purchase and don't blame everything on the dealer.

Long story short, Pit Stop RV and Trailer was highly recommended by another RVer. I spoke with Casey, and he felt they might be able to help me out. It was decided that I would stop by there as I passed through on my way to Idaho Falls, about 20 miles south of Rexburg, the next day, July 17th. Before I could even get out of the motorhome, Chase met me, took pictures and measurements of the door and the area around it. I had already made the decision that I would stay in Idaho Falls while Pit Stop tried to locate a replacement door. Casey kept me updated on the lack of success in trying to locate the replacement. I can say that Pit Stop tried all avenues they could before they finally found a business that appears to have one, but the lead time is unknown. Today is August 8th, and because of the lead time to get the door shipped in, etc, I need to leave the area by the 12th. I spoke with Casey about settling my bill. I can't say enough good things about the customer service I received by these brothers. The RVer who had recommended them to me told me that while they waited on the axle for his 5th wheel, he was staying at the farm where the business is located in his 5th wheel!
