I visited this nail salon yesterday for an acrylic fill since my usual technician was booked. Unfortunately, I had a poor experience along with a pricing discrepancy. I came in as a walk-in and was told there was an opening at 10:30 a.m. They actually started my manicure earlier than they stated, which I appreciated. However, the technician who initially prepped my natural nails and grown-out acrylic appeared to be inexperienced. He used several different sanding bits I'm not used to seeing, including a coarse sanding bit. At one point, a piece of the sanding material broke off and embedded itself into my natural nail, causing discomfort in my nail bed. He tried to remove it with a nail file, causing pain that made me retract my hand. While he stepped away briefly to answer the phone, I ended up removing the piece myself with another nail. He then continued sanding uneven and repeatedly switching sanding bits which made me feel uneasy. After the prep, I was passed to another technician to complete the fill and apply UV polish. She asked what nail shape I wanted, and this is where the pricing discrepancy started. She informed me that wanting an almond shape would increase the fill price to $55 instead of the posted $47. I explained to her that no other place does this and that the pricing displayed on the wall lists $47 for a fill using a credit card, but does not mention any additional charge for different nail shapes. She became irritated and said she would charge $52 instead. She then went on a rant about the long experience she has, the cost of her equipment, and the quality of her materials. She also stated that she treats nails as art and does a good job, and charges some clients upwards of $80 as a base price. Despite these claims, after leaving I noticed that two of my nails are crooked and the polish was poorly applied near the cuticle area. Of all the nail salons I've ever visited Ive never had these upcharges for different nail shapes before along with my fill ever costing more than $40-$45 max. Also as a business owner myself, I fully understand the costs involved with running a business, including the materials and the equipment. Given that, I set prices accordingly and find it important to openly and clearly communicate this pricing upfront to my clients. This upfront transparency includes any upcharges for additional services or materials so my clients can make informed decisions before my service is started and not feel how I felt at this salon. Given all this I do not believe I would ever go back. read more

Having the owner say "I know how much people can afford, everyone is cheap"; is the exact problem with tip culture. The owner "Lina" begged me to get a design on my nails after 3 times of telling her "no I cannot afford that right now" I was laughing and being nice about it until she rudely answered with "what you want everything free?".. I brought up some place else and the prices there just making conversation & she blew up! threatened to cut the nails off of me and told me to walk out and go somewhere "cheap" and to never come back! What are you people raving about? This place was unprofessional, filthy, and not worth going back. My daughter and I went to get ANC powder nails. Arrived 5 minutes before our appointment time and I waited 10 minutes and my daughter waited for 30 minutes after they took someone before her. Once I sat down the table was not cleaned from the client who just left. They call them nail technician but a nail tech would know not use the same nail filer, nail buffer and nail bits from the sanding wand that they use on everyone else. None of the equipment was clean. This things were not cleaned or disinfected before used them on me. My nail tech took two phone calls and stopped my appointment and then had to finish a pedicure that someone other tech was doing. My tech had not put on gloves to touch those feet or put on gloves to do my nails. Then the bit he used on the pedicure stayed on the machine and put away. So, someone is getting her toe jam on their fingernails. After he was done with the pedicure he came back to finish my nails and I had to ask him to wash his hands. NEVER AGAIN. Cash only establishment but no worries they have an ATM inside with another fee. THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY IS MY DAUGHTER ARE PRAYING WE DIDN'T GET FUNGUS. read more

I made an appointment for a full set of gel nails and a pedicure on July 9th. After getting my nails done I decided not to get my pedicure. The nail tech that did my nails who's name was Lena was very bitchy and unpleasant to me while doing my nail. Telling me to pay attention and do as I told. She told me several times to relax and she shook and pulled my hand. I have been getting my nails done for many years and I have never been treated like that! I had a horrible experience here. I do not know the woman's name who did my manicure and pedicure, but I felt like she antagonized me the entire time, and I am one of those people who usually likes to be peacefully quiet when I get my nails done. I asked a question about the color I picked out, and she made a big deal out of it. She actually misunderstood my question completely, but kept going on and on with her defensive response. Literally everyone in the salon was looking at me. The scene was totally uncalled for. It was bizarre and uncomfortable. So this woman upsold me twice with the pedicure, once enlisting the help of the customer next to me, to get me to get the gel pedi instead of the regular. I listened to all the benefits of gel in depth from both women as if I never experienced it before and didn't already know what they were, but every time I spoke it felt like no one was listening. I felt mentally drained already at this point but did end up agreeing to the $55 gel pedi. When I got to the manicure, by the same woman, I said I wanted a regular manicure. I was aggressively being upsold again but this time I held strong. She was annoyed and said it will not be good in a few days. (For $22, really? I did not want to spend more money than that on a manicure though.) She was mumbling something about an upsell and sounded like she mentioned the word cuticle. I asked if she cut cuticles with a regular manicure (because I wasn't sure what she said and I had experienced recent salons not cutting cuticles at all, to my surprise - didn't know if it was something all salons were skipping). She replied with "you know, I have been doing nails for many years" after saying "you seem like you're ----" whatever she said, I don't even know exactly, because I did not hear her, but I am pretty certain it was rude not to mention inaccurate. She clearly does not like being asked simple questions from customers. Anyway, I would have asked her to repeat what she said about what I SEEM like to her (eye roll) but at that point I was well aware she was a ball of negative energy projecting onto me, and I just wanted out of there as fast as possible. This woman was dedicated to misunderstanding me and making me feel bad. She was quite literally psychologically abusing me the entire time and it took everything I had to remain kind to her. She mentioned me being on my phone too much, asked me what was so interesting, the list goes on.... She questioned my memory multiple times... Meanwhile, I was not initiating any conversation. The experience was traumatizing. At the end, I gave her my credit card and asked her to include the tip with the charge since I had called beforehand to ask if I could do that. She gave me a look as if I was going to be really disappointed with the answer, and I repeated that I called beforehand to ask if I could do that because I had no cash. She reluctantly changed her reply to tell me it was okay, it's just not okay for HER. I guess she needed to project one last bout of shame onto me as our time was ending. Only after she got a $13 tip from me was she somewhat kind, and I gave that amount only because my pedicure really was great. She would have not received any tip at all if I let my mental health make the decision. P.S. The $22 manicure chipped greatly, THE NEXT DAY. I will never return to this place again. read more

I've been coming to this salon ever since they've opened and never have any complaints until recently. I had a pedicure done a few weeks ago and within a day the polish began to chip from my toenails and within a week it was all gone so I had to redo it myself. I went again Thursday to get a gel manicure and that same night my nails started to crack. 6 of my nails have cracks on them and one of the nails already lost some of the gel polish. Upon entering the salon it was very obvious how much effort was put into purchasing high quality furniture that is both functional, beautiful, and comfortable for guests. Each nail station table has a vent on it to suck up all chemical vapors and dust from fillings which I LOVED. So much healthier! Lina did my nails and she was an absolute pleasure. She made my ANC look natural and beautiful and gave me exactly what I asked for, all for the same price I pay at every other salon (only most give you half the treatment of Lux). I do wish they had a few more ANC colors to chose from, however, having only opened a month ago I'm sure that is coming with time!! I also really appreciated how Lina and Jack managed appointments. They don't just say yes to everyone and make all guests wait. If they can't take you at a time that they will be able to do their best work, they're honest about that and recommend other time and day options. I so love that as waiting hours at other salons only to be rushed and treated like crap is literally the worst. I can't stress enough how much I recommend this salon. Worst place ever to get a manicure. The guy in the front don't even soak your nails or cleaned them just files them and paints . Then charged you for full manicure when you don't even get the full service. Will never come back to these place ever again.
