I have been able to call at the last minute to get boarding when we have had a family emergency and Lauren didn't hesitate and just said bring her, we will make room! After bringing our golden doodle here for 6 grooming sessions over the last 2 years, we do not expect to be treated in such a condescending manner. We prefer to keep our golden doodle's hair longer, and Olive and company seems to have an issue with that. The groomer has made ongoing remarks about how poor my family's brushing is, and the first suggestion is always that we shave him. We've made it clear that we don't want to shave him and we want them to groom him, yet they continue to push shaving. We brush him at home regularly to keep tangles and mats down. It's just his hair, it requires brushing, before, during, and after grooming. It's the nature of our golden doodle's hair, and we keep up with it. Comments were made today about how they've sent videos on how to properly brush a dog, and how bad of a job we're still doing, which is just wildly inappropriate. Our daughter dropped him off today, and the groomer openly talked about us, and then continued to talk behind a closed door where she could hear the groomer complaining loudly and disrespectfully. I'm taken aback by the lack of courtesy or professionalism they would show their customers, particularly in front of our child. I'm not interested in being talked down to further. I would simply like to "educate" people looking for a groomer on the way my family was treated by this business.

I was a veterinarian assistant in the military so I'm a little privy to the proper medications needed for specific ailments. This clinic LOVES trying to sell me $$$ of medications that are just not necessary. For example I have a dog who HD an ear infection. A simple syringe of Mometamax was all that was necessary. Clean out the ear with a Q-Tip and give him a squirt of the medication every day was all he needed. About $30. Instead they wanted to clean his ears with Q-Tips also and charge me for saline solution used to wet his ears. They also wanted to charge me for over the counter ear wash. Total $350. Unless your in a dire situation, I can no longer recommend this clinic.

The owner is amazing to deal with, but her helpers are less than caring and treat me like I'm a strange off the street begging for money. Something changed with that place as over the last 2 years. They have been treating my dogs like FedEx packages. A few times I would drop my dog off at the appointed time @ 08:00 then get a call 8 hours later @ 16:00 telling me that my dog is done. Today I had a 10:00 appointment for my cocker spaniel. Unexpected traffic and I walked through the door @10:06 to be met by one of the non-smiling, obviously not wanting to be there, helpers. This helper was quick to tell me that my dog would be last, stuck in a cage for 6 hours and then tortured for an hour by this angry individual. I told this sour individual, "I have been coming to Cute and Sassy for over 10 years. I walk through the door 6 minutes late and you are going to penalize me? Put my dog last? 6 minutes?!?! Leave my dog in this hell for 7 hours?!?! No way. I will use someone else from now on." This helper could care less about the business and said, "Okay, whatever." She was firm and would not budge. No compromise what so ever. Anyway, if you do go here I hope you have a better experience that I. I hate to break a 10 year relationship, but I'm done with them.

I specifically asked to keep the long hair on my dog's back, which we had been growing out for 6 months. But instead, they shaved it completely. Even worse, they left mats behind the ears, under the chin, and on the belly. When I kindly asked them to remove the mats, the receptionist responded loudly that it would "change the dog's haircut." Seriously? I believe removing mats should be standard grooming procedure -- and if there's an issue, the professional thing to do would be to call the owner or explain. Instead, they just left them and said it would "ruin the style." Meanwhile, the haircut was already nothing like what I requested. Now I have to take my pup to another groomer to fix what they ignored -- and even they were surprised mats were left behind. Sorry, but this is not how responsible pet care should be handled. Some places, like the previous owners of this location, did not maintain the premises. It would be noisy and smelly, and the AC would be left off. I love what the new owners did with this place! My shih tzu often gets very nervous about going to the groomers but here, she was not shaking at all.
