I made a phone call to the clinic wanting to exchange a 3 kg. bag of Royal Canin cat food I had picked up two days prior. The person who answered the phone said she would have to check with the doctor and would get back to me in one to two hours. I made it clear I would pay the difference in price. I also reiterated the bag was unopened and had just been picked up two days ago. No one contacted me so I drove in to the clinic. There was a big notice taped on the front desk stating exchanges of food were permitted within three days and they still went to the back to 'consult' with the doctor??? They wanted to charge me 20% restocking charge but said they would waive it. Again ???? When I was paying the difference I looked up from the pin pad to see the two women were laughing at me because I was frustrated and angry. The one woman with heavy lipstick said 'hurry or it will time out'. She also said I threw the pin pad at her so they decided that they weren't going to give me the exchange and threatened to call the police. For getting angry. There wasn't any name calling or swearing. Difficult to remain calm and polite when they are trying to gouge me. Never, ever going back to that place.

They told me he was so strong they had to sedate him to get the blood work. Said he was super healthy and good to go. Took him in a couple days later and he got fixed. Three days later I came home from work and he was breathing really strange so I called the office and they had me come in. They were so rude and told me I had to take him to emergency. They were very strong in telling me which hospital to go to and that whatever was happening with him had nothing to do with the surgery. Took him to emergency and he was coughing up blood and it was coming out his nose. The car ride from the vet to the hospital is indescribable. The sounds he was making haunt me. He died. My beautiful healthy baby just died. Cost us $1500 for about an hour at emergency. They never contacted me and passed it off as if he had an underlying condition. Why did I pay all that money to make sure he was good for surgery??? This place is a joke. They don't care about you or your animals. Please share if you know people in south Surrey or white rock. This happened in June but I finally had it in me to write a review about the experience.

Cuz it would take me 2+ hours to commute in from the other side of BC. I got there with about 25 minutes to spare before closing. Was introduced to my new baby hog and his quirks and personality. And he was super chill just like they said. Poor little guy has been there since Christmas waiting for (me) someone to take him home. While I haven't had hedgies since 2012 I had this longing for another lately so after about a month of procrastination and really it was just tally how much the new guy would run me (as I recently already spent over $500 on fish tank and reptile decor for my "2" very spoiled roborovski dwarf hamsters just less than 5 days ago), and they were nice enough to tell me a free membership gets me almost $40 off so yeah sign me up The assistant store manager was the one that took my call. And she was there waiting for me at 7:30 pm to help me get my new boy packed up for his commute home. I did get my boy settled in nicely. And I hope the lady sees this review. And yes. Their prices are significantly better than you will find at Tisol and Bosleys. They also sell many accessories you'd find in other pet stores, food bowls, shampoo, kitten formula, cat scratchers, carriers, etc. They have parking and another entrance behind the building.
