Sounds like I'm in a situation very similar to others here who have posted 1-star reviews. I placed an order in early December, then didn't hear anything about my order status even after repeated attempts to get in contact with Luxe. On December 30th, I asked for my order to be canceled and my money to be refunded. On January 7th, Luxe said that they'd get the cancellation handled asap and that it may take 10 business days for the refund to process. After 10 business days, I contacted Luxe to ask about the status of the refund. Since then, I've attempted to contact them 5 times with no response. I've filed a dispute with my credit card company in hopes that they can resolve the issue. If not, I'm going to look into other legal options like small claims court to get my money back. read more

The owner is a fraud and wouldn't recommend working with this "company" They write on their website that they have items in stock but when you order it, he won't email you that the items are back ordered, you have to ask them why the item is not being shipped. Days later, he will reply saying your order will be shipped in weeks/months and can't tell you when. The owner didn't want to refunds me, he said he would refund my money on the 9th, I had to call my credit card company and my bank and they suggested to wait 15 days, on the 26th he send me the exact same reply he sent me on the 9th. I contacted my bank again, filed for fraud and had my money back the same day. Boycot this joke of a company. read more

I would love to leave a five star review and post a picture of the wood stove that I ordered, but after eight months I still have not gotten it. Every email I have sent inquiring about it has had the same reply "A couple more weeks". Two months ago I asked for a refund, I got a response that said "We'll get this processed ASAP it may take up to 10 days." Still to the day I have not received a refund, and the company has stopped replying to the numerous other emails I have sent. Their website lists them as in stock, and made in Korea. After you place the order you find out that they are being built overseas and shipped when ### orders are placed. A dispute has been filed with my bank to get my money back. I placed an order with Luxe on 8/5/22. They readily processed my payment for nearly $1000 within 24 hours. I then proceeded to wait for two months without any updates, even though their website indicated that the items were in stock when I placed the order. After contacting them in October and November, I received vague responses that did not provide any actual information regarding the status of my order. I then contacted them on 12/5/22 and requested that they cancel the order and process a refund. After another delay, they wrote me back on 12/16/22 and stated that it would take up to ten business days for my refund to process. It is now 1/7/23 and I have not received my refund, nor have I heard back from Luxe after multiple emails and phone calls. I am sorry that I did not research this company prior to placing my order. After seeing the other reviews listed here, it seems that I am not alone with the issues with Luxe. If this is a real company, they have some of the worst customer service and business practices that I have ever encountered. Their lack of responsiveness and integrity indicates that they are fraudulent. I have filed a dispute/fraud complaint regarding the transaction with my bank and I have also reported the issue to Shopify and the Better Business Bureau. Absolute Scam. I ordered about $600 worth of gear from this company and never received my product. The website said there was "1 left in stock" which should've been a red flag but I ignored it. A week went by and I still did it receive any shipping email or communication. After two weeks I emailed the company and then a week later they finally responded saying they could "hold my place in line". I declined and asked for my money back. A week later they responded to me asking me to confirm I wanted to cancel my order. I still didn't receive my money. I finally reached out to my credit union and filed a dispute. They were able to retrieve my money by going through Visa. In total this ordeal took two months. Bought the octopeak setup. Followed the instructional video and then tested it out with a snow fall before taking it winter camping. I used a tree with a flat top as a center pole and the seams that the peak broke and the tent was ruined from some snow fall. I told the company I dont feel safe taking this out camping in the seams are this weak. I wanted to return the setup but they told me to get it repaired locally instead. I even suggested to them about adding some fabric or something at the top to reenforce the peak for other people. Now I am left with an expensive tent and stove setup that I do not want to use. The worst part is, I was so excited to use this for winter camping this season. Only 'vacation' I had been looking forward to all year. Really disappointing customer service and quality. read more

This operation purports to be the manufacturer. The actual manufacturer, Luxe Outdoor, is based in Hong Kong. Luxe Hiking Gear uses the Luxe name in its business title to sow confusion. Luxe Hiking Gear was merely a retail distributor for Luxe Outdoor products, but it is no longer. Luxe Outdoor (the manufacturer), in a letter dated 01-28-2023, terminated its relationship with Luxe Hiking Gear due to the myriad of complaints you are reading here and elsewhere, but this scam business is still attempting to operate despite this. It has even gone so far as to construct a new automated email response directing blame at "negative" customers and non-existent logistic problems for its recent termination. This is a classic scam operation. The operator will take the customer's money and employ stall tactics to prevent the customer from initiating a dispute or chargeback from the respective bank. The customer may occasionally receive an automated email stating that he is in a "queue" to receive the purchased merchandise to help facilitate this stalling. The operator has also disabled comments across his social media platforms in an attempt to hide and maintain his fraudulent activity. BUYER BEWARE I am posting my experience with Luxe to help others and will edit this review accordingly as the situation unfolds. An order was placed on 4/3 for a Megahorn XL Tipi. The order was processed right away and Luxe took the money. On their website the product was listed as " 1 available order now." Luxe only pushes updates through the Shopify app. As of 4/12 the order update was "On it's way" with no shipping information. An email was sent to Luxe Customer Service. On 4/13 an email was received from Luxe similar to the ones shown in below reviews, a generic email stating "the product is being forwarded from our other warehouse" and a redirect to shipping policies on their website. I wish I would have read the reviews for this company before purchasing. It is truly a shame. My family was very much excited to use this product, however the customer service end is ghastly. After reading through the reviews on Google, BBB, Trip Advisor, Yelp, and Reddit it has become clear I am not the only buyer that has experienced these frustrations. After researching a list of reviews on the sites listed above, this is what I've found: * If you choose to complete a transaction with this company, I advise you use a credit card. Your recourse in halting/reversing payment will be much easier than if you used paypal or a debit card to complete this transaction. * If using a Credit Card do not fall for stall tactics, as you can not reverse a payment after 60 days with some CC Companies. * All items on the Luxe website are listed on sale because their return policy does not include items that are "on sale". This tactic is indictive of a scam dropship company. * Calling the listed Phone Number redirects you to email their customer service email. Not a Happy Camper! I purchased a Luxe Megahhorn XL tent, the 3W titanium wood stove and the snow/sand base for the wood stove end of January 2022. I received the tent & wood stove in late spring...Definitely Not quick turnaround! It is now mid March of 2023 and I still haven't received the snow/sand base plate. I asked for a refund, I received their basic garbage response email (obviously didn't read my email!)...so sent another email, they finally replied and said that it would take up to 10 business days for the refund to hit my account....been several days past their stated time and NO Refund yet or response! The tent & wood stove are in the low end of an "OK" rating, but the customer service SUCKS! I don't recommend them for anything, search elsewhere...save yourself the frustration! read more

So, so bad. Spent way too much on a hot tent with stove. Freakin thing caught on fire!!!! While I was in it. Thank God I was awake and notices it right away because it spread so fast. The pipe from the stove got so hot, the tent around it, even the special material around the pipe, caught fire. Terrible customer service. They might think 500+ dollars is chump change for most folks, but it's not for me. 1st red flag, was not receiving a estimate ship/arrival date, 2nd was there phone going straight to voicemail, and automatic email responses. There comments are turned off on their insta page also, there's a reason companies do that. So their past customers can't warn future buyers. 9 days went by with out a peep from shipping, no response. Sent a few emails, requesting estimated shipping date, they told me to refer to the shipping link, gave me no information. Terrible, terrible customer service. Ordered in early December after confirming with them that they would arrive for a Christmas present.. Only half the order came. I called numerous times and sent emails asking about the rest of the order. ZERO responses. Then a week after Christmas, I tried contacting them for a return and again no response. Will never buy from them again. No apologies, no response, just some automated update that an order shipped. They failed to mention half the order would be misising. Ordered Oct 2022. Still not received. No email response. No order fulfilled. Basically stole my money

I wish I had come here and read these reviews before purchasing. I ordered a Minipeak XL tent and paid around $500 for the tent, inner tent, pole and stove. I absolutely loved it at first. I've gone on a total of three camping trips with it and unfortunately the stitching at the very top has completely come apart. There has been no improper/extensive use and was used in moderate weather every time. At this point, there is a hole at the very top causing the pole to stick out of the tent. Given this is pyramid tent, the tent is now unusable. Thinking that this should 100% fall under the 1 year warranty and absolutely is a factory defect. I contacted Luxe, after two weeks of pushing to get a response. I was told to just simply use seam sealer...Now the whole thing is just a giant disappointment. I really thought I was buying a premium product. I will never recommend Luxe hiking gear to anyone ever again. read more

Paid $479 to ship two tents and stove to Canada. I made two orders so $400 usd plus other fees when it arrived. These guys are CROOKS!! The sale is BS it only locks you into the purchase as no return policy on sale items. Zero communication, only automated response claiming they respond to all emails. 32349 is order number if you want to reach out to me. Save yourself the buyers remorse and shop elsewhere, there are many other companies, the sale price is where they get you, but the shipping fees and waiting 6 week's is where they really get you. I ordered a tent on August 31st. The website said the tent that I ordered was in stock. I emailed them a week later to check on the shipping status and received a scripted email response a couple days later saying that my spot in line had been reserved. Almost a month after placing my order, my tent had not shipped and I contacted Luxe asking to cancel my order and refund my money. They said they would cancel my order and that it could take up to 10 days for my refund. That was on Oct. 4th. I have not received my refund after over 14 business days, and I am now forced to go to my bank and issue a chargeback tomorrow (October 25th). The customer service with this company is very disappointing. I do not mind waiting for a quality item to ship, but when the website says its in stock and in reality its not and they do not follow through with their statements (refund timeline) one can only think that this company is fraudulent. I ordered a hot tent stove and a floor for my tent. I received the stove and tent. And the floor never came. I emailed back and forth for what seems ages. False promises of stock issues, etc. it's been about a year now and I have given up hope. I have seen some articles floating recently about potential scam issues so I figured I'd just put my cents in. It's sad because that is still my favorite tent for the price. Groundhog day the movie kinda review because it sounds like all the other reviews. Excited to try their products,look great sound great on YouTube etc. Ordered a pre order tent on April 14th that was to be shipped start of May, then when it didn't arrive I looked at their policies and was directed to the eternal loop I'm stuck in now, it goes like this- Check website for updates, and they keep pushing the time back every two weeks and add an additional two week wait time. Can't even say if their gear is good or crap and of course they respond with canned responses that tell you to check the website and they don't answer the phone. Maybe spend more with a different company that will actually speak to you. read more
