Sound bikes and Kayaks is a cool shop divided into 2 areas: Kayaks, dry bags, a few wetsuits then also both bikes and ebikes for sale (a few drool worthy e-mountain bikes too). Peter is usually the man in the front by the e bikes sales and he is knowledgeable about those bikes as well has tips where to get riding, swell dude. All the folks and owners working there have always been kind and helpful! They also have cool branded port angeles bike jerseys and sports clothing and of course carry many parts to get you going again if you need repairs, if they don't have it, they order it. I brought in a 'regular mountain bike' for my first tune up and they helped replace my disc brakes and rooters that were in sad shape. Now I am rolling again and I'm happy with the repair, so we will be back with more bikes as there are bikes for 2 seasons. Happy trails all. Spring tune up time.

On December 30th, I asked for my order to be canceled and my money to be refunded. On January 7th, Luxe said that they'd get the cancellation handled asap and that it may take 10 business days for the refund to process. After 10 business days, I contacted Luxe to ask about the status of the refund. Since then, I've attempted to contact them 5 times with no response. I've filed a dispute with my credit card company in hopes that they can resolve the issue. If not, I'm going to look into other legal options like small claims court to get my money back.

Days later, he will reply saying your order will be shipped in weeks/months and can't tell you when. The owner didn't want to refunds me, he said he would refund my money on the 9th, I had to call my credit card company and my bank and they suggested to wait 15 days, on the 26th he send me the exact same reply he sent me on the 9th. I contacted my bank again, filed for fraud and had my money back the same day. Boycot this joke of a company.

They actually took the time to answer questions and make sure I understood what I was looking at, instead of just pointing me to a shelf. You get the sense they really know their gear and care about helping you make the right choice. Sure, you can buy outdoor stuff on Amazon, but you're not going to get any level of service. There's real value in being able to talk to someone who's an expert and can guide you properly. Overall, an amazing experience--I'll definitely be back.

I wanted to post about Karsten and Cameron's work at the new Valhalla Pure Outfitters (VPO) in…read moredowntown Victoria. Karsten at VPO mounted skis for me last week at the end of May (!). His work is excellent. It's hard to get good ski service in Victoria, and Karsten went out of his way to get a rig. I've also gotten great help from Cameron at the same store. Besides the staff, the Victoria's VPO has an excellent, concentrated selection of climbing gear. It's the store you would get if hard climbers (that were moderate gear nerds) were told to fill out a garage. Compared to a big Vancouver and Seattle store, the floor space is small. But the careful attention on selection shows, and gives the store a compact, useful character.

They also apparently do not care about potential customers as their customer service dept. and Mr. Gabe Rygaard himself don't bother to rerun e-mails. The First time I came in I needed a box to ship a snowboard, I assumed I would have to buy one, but they looked for me but couldn't find a specific snowboard box so brought me out some ski boxes tape and scissors! Mind you I had never been here or shopped here before I couldn't believe how gracious they were! Not to mention I had a friendly dog hanging around as I was building the box! So rad! The next time I had to sell some of my gear to pay a bill and the guy working in the gear section could feel my pain and gave me a really solid deal that he really didn't have to! This place is special In Bellingham and the people who work here have to be the best spirited team in any shop around town.
