I don't understand how this place expects to do business. This is the fourth time I have stopped by in three weeks and they are always closed. On the door and online it says they should be opened. This is absolutely ridiculous. You might want to have workers that are actually at your location if you plan to be a retail space and have customers. Don't waste your time going here. I bought a sofa here a month ago. I didnt special order it, just took the floor model. Im very happy with the quality of the sofa. It was pretty expensive so i really thought they should have free delivery especially as I live within five miles of the store. The store is small but packed with nice items. We spent $5,000 on a sectional sofa. It came in wrong two times, cushions have not held up well and had rips in the material when it was delivered that the shop never addressed after numerous calls to the owner. We like the look of the sofa but the quality and service were terrible. read more

I spent a considerable amount of time looking and comparing living room furniture at retail stores in Indy and Cincinnati. I simply disliked the quality I found at other retailers so thought I'd try Luxe in Clay Terrace. At first I thought their pricing would be out of reach for me, but the designer Crystal R. gave me tips on upcoming sales. The quality of the furniture is superb and far surpasses every other retailer I shopped in the area. The designers went out of their way to stay open late to accommodate my work schedule. Crystal even visited my home for a free consult on her day off!! The professional presentation of custom fabrics and furniture recommendations was even done after store hours to get more personal attention. The furniture arrived before our quoted arrival date, and White Glove Delivery were prompt and professional with service. The guys put on booties to make sure my home remained clean despite a rainy day. I will use Luxe again and recommend it to anyone wanting quality furniture that's built to last for years. Kimberly assisted my husband and I in choosing a sofa for our family room. She was very patient and helpful in the choices for seat density, cushion width, fabric choice, etc. (I didn't realize there would be so many choices.) The sectional sofa we chose was delivered ahead of schedule and the white glove delivery was wonderful. The delivery men took such care with the new furniture and were willing to move it to a different location in the room for us! I am only giving Luxe a four star review because I have yet to receive my furniture (but it's not expected until November, so that's okay). I worked with Crystal to come up with a whole new arrangement for the living room of our new house and then on multiple different pieces all with different fabric choices. Crystal was delightful to work with and very patient when I stepped outside of her process. The store has a lot of great pieces and the fabric choices are great. The showroom is merchandised beautifully and I was greeted promptly. I ordered just under 1,000.00 worth of new lighting. I was told they would be delivered in 8-10 weeks and was asked to place a 50% deposit on my order. I asked the designer that helped me with my order to search for additional products for me. I must say that I do live out of state, which I took under consideration when rating this business. I received an email stating my order would be delivered soon and I needed to contact the store to make final payment. That same day, instead of "white glove delivery" my merchandise was stacked in front of my garage. I was home and whoever made the delivery didn't even ring the bell. I called the store, paid the final bill, they told me they would call with delivery arrangements, I informed them the merchandise had already delivered. They asked if it was white glove service, and I told them they had been stacked in front of the garage. There was no follow up from my designer to ask me about my satisfaction or to follow up on my initial request for additional products. I would have given this business a lower rating for poor customer follow up, but the product I ordered was as described, and I received it in about 4 weeks. I'll leave it to you to decide how you would feel about almost 1,000.00 worth of merchandise being left in your driveway. read more

Very disappointing overall experience with this store. Had great relationship when it was Norwalk but that customer service has left. We have now wasted many weeks that could have been spent producing our custom item only to take our current and future business elsewhere. Just some advice, patronizing a client about how "custom furniture" ordering works when said client has alot of great experiences with other custom vendors, is not an advised customer retention strategy. The only positive is that a full refund of our deposit was agreed to. read more

I have never been so accosted by such a rude saleswoman as I was today. My wife, my son and I went in the store to browse. All we wanted to do was look, but she kept getting in my face and TOLD me that since I came In THEIR store, she "was going" to tell me... I finally got a little firm and said pretty clearly that we just want to look, and again "well, since you came in our store, I'm going to tell you..." I interrupted her and said well, we can fix that and left. I will never go into that store again, ever. read more

Kimberly is great, easy to talk to, and work with. I talked to her last Oct. before coming to my home, about the desire for new living room furniture, & chandelier for dining. When she came, she measured my living room, & adjoining dining area. Took several photos of each area for later reference. When we met at Luxe Home Interiors in Carmel, a few days later, she had fabrics/trim displayed for sofa, & chairs, also coffee table ideas, & chandeliers. Due to an illness in family, & time out of Indianapolis till late Spring I did not contact Kimberly, until recently. During that entire absence, of which she knew nothing, she did not call or email me. I respected that, most sales people, will "bug" you to complete the sale. I did not think of calling anyone else when things settled down, & I wanted to place that order. Was happy again with Kimberly's ideas & service. Happy to say furniture is ordered. NEVER has the term "caveat emptor" been more applicable than when dealing with Luxe Home Interiors of Carmel! Let the buyer BEWARE. Please check ALL prices with other retailers BEFORE ordering. PRICE: Wallpaper that should have been priced at $140 a yard was INTENTIONALLY written for $190 a yard. A $1,284 overcharge (w/tax). When I pointed the error out to Luxe, believing that 9 had mistakenly been written when a 4 was meant, I was informed that the higher price was the "Luxe" price, and I had signed the order form. RESPONSIVENESS: The original designer we made an appointment with at their store actually "blew us off" with NO explanation. We were helped by the next up salesperson/designer. From the beginning Luxe was reluctant to put communications in writing.....preferring the telephone where little verification is offered. PUNCTUALITY: Nothing was delivered within the stated time frame. Shipping and handling of $190 for a roll of wallpaper was for standard delivery. You would think at that price the shipment might be expedited a little. PROFESSIONALISM: Error prone. Once Luxe gets their tenticles into your wallet--they don't let go. They are relentless and will nickel and dime you to death. HONESTY: Although Phillip Jeffries was listed as the vendor on our order form we found out, on the day the wallpaper was delivered, "Luxe does not purchase directly through Phillip Jefferies." (A quote from Chara.) If Luxe had written the true vendor on the order form this whole problem could have been avoided. We were bamboozled and failed to check previous reviews before we ordered anything.....A BIG MISTAKE. I urge you to beware of the adversarial atmosphere that develops as the transaction progresses and concludes. read more

Our experience with Luxe Home Interiors was very disappointing. We paid additional for design services that were just a composite of replacing all our current furniture with pieces sold in their store. When a piece of furniture arrived looking significantly different than what we had ordered, the solution offered was for us to either pay to have it redone (upgraded) or pay a return and stocking fee. The rationale received was that they are 'always learning new things about their suppliers' and they expected us to be financially responsible for them learning their business. The drapery install was booked, then cancelled last minute and then we did not hear back from them. When we were finally to pick them up, they had lost them. There is more but bottom line...we paid more to ensure quality of materials and customer service and were extremely disappointed and frustrated with the whole experience. read more
