I purchased a pedicure for my daughter-in-law this last Valentine's Day. The appointment was for 3:45pm. She arrived and parked at 3:40pm but got lost inside of the parking garage. She finally found her way and was walking up to the salon door, emailing Bernadette to let her know she had arrived (as instructed). At this moment, Bernadette was walking past her, made eye contact and said nothing to her. She wasn't sure if it was Bernadette so she just continued walking towards the salon's door and saw that it was closed. As instructed, she did not attempt to open the door and she waited patiently where the instructions told to her to wait upon arrival. It was 3:49pm. At 3:54pm, she realized it was Bernadette that had walked past her. So she emailed Bernadette to let her know she was there (waiting). There was no response, so she waited a few more minutes, then thought maybe there was some confusion as to why the communication was coming from her (since I booked the appointment). So she sent another email at 4:04pm to let her know that I had made the appointment under my name and that she had arrived for the appointment. Bernadette finally emailed her back at at 4:05pm, letting her know that she would need to reschedule and that she would be charged. My daughter-in-law responded, telling her that she didn't think it was fair because they walked past one another (made eye contact, just four minutes after the appointment time) and that she never responded to the email she sent, letting her know she was there. Bernadette emailed back letting her know was was 10 minutes late without prior notice (even though the email was timestamped at nine minutes... and sent from the hallway she was waiting in since 3:49pm, which is just four minutes after the scheduled appointment time), and that she would be charged for cancelling the appointment per her Cancellation Policy. The policy states that if you're MORE THAN 15 minutes late, you'll receive an email and will be charged either the full balance or the remaining balance (if a deposit was made). She was literally at the door at 3:49pm and emailed at 3:54pm. Bernadette went on to say that she didn't recall making eye contact and that she had stepped out to go to the restroom. She further stated that the policy exists to serve all customers fairly... This was in no way, shape or form "fair". She not late more than 15 minutes per the policy and the policy says nothing about 10 minutes... and my back account shows the charge was made at 3:45pm, not 4:00pm which is at the 15 minute mark. Per her policy. I have all of the timestamps and 'receipts' to show this entire interaction and how it went down. Bernadette lacks integrity and does not follow her own late policy terms. She clearly does as she wants and lacks professionalism. Having worked in the customer service industry for well over 25 years, I would have stopped in the hall and asked, "Are you [insert client's name]?" If they answered yes, I would have let them know I was taking a quick break and would be with them in just a moment. That's just common courtesy and basic customer service skills. I have NEVER been denied a service (myself) for being late 4 minutes past an appointment time. EVER. Just plain ridiculous. read more

Beware she charges a non-refundable $25 deposit at booking. Even that is understandable. However, what doesn't sit well with me is her 24 hr cancellation policy. I had a become a regular client and typically called day of for an appointment. Ironically, she gives a discount when you book same day. The one time I scheduled in advance I had to cancel within the 24 hr period. I was stuck out of town caring for my mom. The moment I realized that I wasn't going to make the appointment I sent a text. Regardless of my legit reason, she not only kept the $25 deposit, she charged my card an additional $40 to bring the total to $65. There are plenty of nail techs out there that don't treat clients this way. Bernadette's does a great job on the gel manicure but I can't support her policy. read more

Bernadita was fabulous! I discovered her through Groupon and was extremely happy with the results. She took care of my hikers feet without judgement and left them in baby soft shape! very happy with her shaping and gel application. Her location is very convenient and includes massage chair. Note if you do book thru groupon that you have to ensure you book the service thru her website, but this is pretty easy to follow as Groupon lets you know the process. I would highly recommend seeing her, with or without groupon! read more

I had a gel pedicure a week ago and my usually cracked and calloused feet are still smooth. You are lucky if your pedicure service lasts over 45 minutes. Berni took her time, over an hour, to ensure the results were perfect. I will be back and highly recommend you give her a try. read more

I have scheduled an appointment with this person. Unfortunately, I got a flat time prior to the appointment. I called multiple times - no response. I sent in a couple of e-mails to contact this person in order to see if I can be a couple of minutes late - got a response to reschedule. Then saw an e-mail that I was charged almost 57$ for a cancelation fee. I paid 25$ for this groupon. While I do understand the cancellation fees it should not be more than what I paid for this entire appointment. read more
