Not sure why Review says San Francisco. I went to Oceanside location. I had Tina, and she was SO skilled, so kind and attentive. My toes looked amazing and were completely dry - didn't need flip flops! Yet, I have given Luxe the rating I have for something that was disappointing. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted, asked what I came for, then was asked to pick a color. I told that person "I am here for a pedicure" (that is all). My technician, Tina was smiling and waiting for me to pick out my color, and provided additional books to look through. In my last pedi at a different establishment, I was encouraged to get gel because it lasts longer. I decided against it. I regretted that! So this time, I let Tina know that I wanted gel. I knew that walking in. So once she began, she let me know that there is an additional $15 for gel. I was fine with that. As the session progresses, I am explaining that my feet are super sensitive, so please be very gentle - including any massaging. She was great at that. There were other services she did and I was thinking "I really don't need these other things, but, well as long as she is gentle, I'll let her continue." Once she was finished, I had already decided that this will be my new nail salon! I am military and will be stationed here until Aug 2026. When I went to pay, I was shocked to find out she had given me the "Luxe Spa Pedicure" which is $65; so my total was $85 with tax. I had not planned on spending that much. However, this is not what really upset me. I felt deceived because I KNOW no one asked me if I wanted the "Luxe Spa Pedi". I was clear to say I wanted a pedi. I realize this is a business, and they are going to offer more expensive items, yet that offer never came. I do realize that I should have stopped her as soon as I noticed she was giving extra services that seemed beyond a normal pedi, so I own that, but the deception in just doing the more expensive service without getting confirmation from the customer, felt terrible. In addition, I mentioned this as I was paying and she (politely) made comments that made it sound like I had made the mistake. I still gave her a great tip because she did do a great job, but I will not be back. I hope the additional $30-40 (the regular pedicure is $35) was worth the loss of a long-term customer. read more

Shocked I haven't reviewed by now. I've been going to Tobi since they opened this shop, just about. I am so picky. Wildly insanely, picky and I'm hard on my hands. I moved from LA, and I tried literally every single spot in the north county. I had varying problems and then I met Tobi. He's skilled, seamlessly skilled. Like a magician. Fast. And particular. And my nails, don't break like past times. Today, he really stood out. I wasn't displeased by his service; I am just literally going through so much in life and I didn't choose a lovely color combo. Tobi knows how much my nails make me happy, and he knew I wasn't in love with the design I chose (I didn't even have to tell him, he is just intuitive). In past times (with others) I have stomached it, because, it's just nails (first world problems) but he let me come back in, and he did his "doo wop!" I wasn't sure about his remedy, but he delivers always. Go visit the guy! read more

Not the cleanest nail salon I've been to. Not sure all tools were recently disinfected. They charged my daughter for any kind of clipping or if she had a callus on her foot it was an additional charge. Then when we went to pay, they asked for all tips to be in cash. I did not know that in advance and I usually do tip on my card so it's all documented. They charged us two dollars additional to use a credit card and if you wanted to use their in-house ATM machine, there was an additional charge so either way you're paying more. I will be back even though this salon was referred to me by a friend. read more

Made an appt for 2 pedicures for 5 pm on friday, then called back to add one set of gel nails. The gentleman on the phone suggested that I come in at 4:30 and that they would do my nails and my toes together so that my wife and I could get our pedi's together. We took off work early to get pedicures and relax and were very excited! I walked in, told them my name, and They started my nails right away. Great so far. I didn't love the color I picked and the guy doing my nails did not offer any alternatives when I mentioned it. Not great as far as customer service. I went ahead and kept it knowing its only for a week or 2. The guy who did my nails was fast but left a bunch of top coat on the skin, to the point that when I peeled it off later it peeled of a section on the side of my nail bed as well. Such a bummer. This was a $60 gel manicure, expensive for what I got. When I was finished I sat in the pedi chair next to my wife to wait until they were ready for me...but by this point she was almost done. Another bummer. What happened to "we can do your nails while we do your pedi" ? That obviously did not happen. The staff that was not working on other customers disappeared to the back for a good 10 minutes. I sat and waited and picked off the top coat stuck on my skin. When they came out no one was getting ready for my pedi...still! Eventually a guy asked me if I had a pedi and I said yes, but honestly at that point I was over it and super annoyed because my wife would have had to wait an extra hour for me. The goal of relaxing together was shot. The guy apologized and I left. He continued to apologize to my wife after I left and supposedly gave her a "small discount" on my nails. It was still $120 for a gel mani and a pedi! He also sent her out with a 20% off coupon for my next visit. Lack of attention to detail and lack of organization is the first impression that I have of this rather new salon. Too bad. read more

I found my new favorite nail salon!! I called the same day for an appointment and got one at 10am for a manicure and pedicure. I brought my 8 year old with me for a mom/daughter date. They did not disappoint!! They treated her like a queen by testing nail polish colors so she could see them first, recommending colors based upon what she said she liked, showing her how to use the massage chair, and giving her some special flower art on her toes. They were gentle and super patient with her too. Phenomenal staff and environment!! We were in and out in less than an hour and super happy! We'll be back for sure! read more
