And they send appointment reminder texts 8 minutes after your appointment and if you show up at 10 minutes past your appointment they say they can't see you. I went on Yelp and found this business. Mackenzie had availability for today for my first ever male Brazilian. I booked online which was pretty convenient and easy. I set up an online account, added a credit card for any services or product purchases. I arrived at the appointment 15 minutes early and checked in with Bella at the front desk. She greeted me with a smile and was very welcoming. Mackenzie promptly met me and explained everything and clearly answered my questions prior to starting. This was my first time for this service ever. I highly recommend it. Mackenzie kept me talking and pleasantly distracted during the experience. The wax was the perfect temperature. She suggested products to help with post service and before my next visit. After the short visit-I looked in the mirror and feel clean and refreshed. Am going to be adding this to my self care regimen. I have scheduled my next visit with Mackenzie for a month out. I received complimentary products with a brief overview and bought two additional products for daily and periodic maintenance. This was my first time coming to EWC, I usually go to another shop but they were booked. The girl who did my Brazilian was nice but gossipy and young-minded when it came to conversation. She was flinging the wax sticks into the trash and sometimes missing which was a bit unprofessional and unsanitary. Wax was soooo hot too which made it more painful. Lastly, when I got home and checked her work I realized she missed an entire PATCH of hair I considered calling them but I honestly don't really want to go back there again. read more

Used to love this place but now they have some new policy where they ask your medications EVERY visit and they cancelled my appointment due to meds I've been on for months. They said it could cause irritation or skin sensitivity even though my DOCTOR already assured me it's fine and it's been fine for the months of service before this. I shouldn't need your approval, if anything just have me sign a waiver beforehand. Very annoying considering they didn't even know what the medication was! It was not in their binder, they had to google it. I'm sure you guys know better than my dermatologist. Not a fan of this new policy. And I was not warned of it. I am so disappointed. I came to this location because I am house sitting for family, normally I go to a location in San Diego and I've never had someone mess up my eyebrows this bad. I just came in for a clean up and trim and the girl completely messed up my eyebrows. She took hairs off the front and made one of them so skinny. I had to go back in after I saw my eyebrows in the sunlight to see if someone could fix them. $25 for the wax and a $5 tip for messed up eyebrows. Even my 7 year old told me my eyebrows look funny when I picked him up from school after getting them waxed. The lady that did my eyebrows literally took no more than 5 minutes to do them. The whole appointment felt rushed. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. Edit to add: the lady that messed up my eyebrows is named MONA. read more

I waited a little longer than normal, so there was A LOT of ground to cover, but she took such good care of me and did what she could to make sure it wasn't too painful. I am a loyal customer here, though was really disappointed by the front desk service today. My appointment was at 6:45 PM today. I was running late in rush hour traffic and called the front desk, Layla, who I kept informed that I would be exactly 8 min late, adhering to their 9 minute reschedule policy. When I walked in, it was approximately 6:53 PM, though Layla told me I could no longer be seen for my appointment and would have to reschedule because when she checked her computer to check me in it was 6:54 PM, exactly 9 minutes from my scheduled appointment. I am typically always on time to my appointments and have credits with European Wax Center because I enjoy their service, though I was not happy with the way I was treated today. It felt more like they just wanted to close up shop and be done for the day rather than to see me. Not at all advocating to be late as I work in a medical clinic, but circumstances happen to all, and the front desk should be working to keep their loyal customers happy. First time guest here. First leg wax for me too. Anyway, i get there a few mins before my appt. Checked in and the girl at the desk talked/explained to me their pass with the unli waxing. I think its a good deal but since i just started waxing i didnt get it. So andrea called me in, she was nice talked to me while in the room. Before we started since it was my first leg wax she checked my leg hair first which was thankfully long enough. So i sit on the bed, the wax was warm almost hot but it didn't really bother me. Then she told me to take a deep breath and pulled the wax. I would say it didnt hurt as much as i was thinking. I had my underarms waxed before so i kind of know how it will go. Anyway, she had to redo a side one or two times because of the little thin hairs i have on my legs. Which was okay, she also had to tweeze some hairs. I think it was about 10 mins and i was done. I didnt think it would be that fast. So we walk to the front desk and of course since its my first time i gave in on the serum because it smells nice. Hahaha. And since i have a lot of ingrown hair i thought why not. So i get home checked my legs and i still see hairs so i have to tweeze them. Anyway, i enjoyed it.
