Its with sadness and disappointment that I write this I have gone here for a while and always enjoyed their service but yesterday I was charged 75.00 for a blow out and curls never in my life have I paid that for a blow out and curls I get my hair done twice a week. I spoke with the owner and she said that was the price. It took an hour and 1/2 for a blowout and curls when normally something like this is 45 minutes. I don not have textured or difficult hair its shoulder length. I feel like someone robbed me or took advantage I wont be going back. I called salons in the area and none of them were 75.00 for a blowout and that was without tip. read more

I was in the area for my father's funeral from Washington DC and I stopped in to have my hair done. While there, I met the most fabulous lady, Bridget, who provided me with several awesome services. She did a cleanse, tone, Derma plane, Laser/Light, Hydrate B-5 Mask, Metacell Renewal B, H intense-Eyes and Defense 50 Protect. I arrived feeling and looking totally stressed out and when I left, my face was younger looking, relaxed, nourished, and rejuvenated. BRIDGET'S TREATMENTS ARE AWESOME!!! Not only is she beautiful outside, but she is absolutely the nicest person ever!!! I also received a lot of fantastic advice on how to keep my skin looking and feeling young, and the prices were very reasonable. This might have been one of the best hair cuts that I have ever gotten. My spur-of-the-moment hair cut started with me calling around the York area. Luxe was the first to answer after 3 other no answers. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. I set up the appointment about for 2 hours later in the day. Once I got there, I did have to call to find the place, because the sign doesn't say Luxe, but it is currently on order to change. The interior is very beautiful and relaxing!! They offer chocolate, water, coffee, etc. Once you check in, you can wait in their waiting area, which has cell phone chargers. My hair stylist was Moon. She was great and made my experience fun and exciting. She even gave me tips to take care of my hair and how to properly flat iron and blow dry my hair. They also do mani-pedis, which I will definitely go back and try! read more

Last week I visited the newly renovated Luxe Salon and Day Spa for the 1st time. A very warm, welcoming, modern, atmosphere for sure. The best nail technician and design artist I have ever encountered (Pam Babkirk) is now working there. This is what brought me in. My nails are "my thing" and I searched long and hard all over Southern Maine to find my dream technician. Luxe is where you'll find her. From the cuticle work to the perfect filing; the massage to the creative, hand painted art; the combination of conversation and quiet time, my manicure and pedicure were perfect. Take it from me, Pam Babkirk at Luxe Salon and Day Spa is as good as it gets! I'm not an easy hair care customer because I do terrible thing like bleach my nearly black natural color and then put three or four fashion colors on there because I like living my life in technicolor. Jenna's my go to, but I've seen Lisa C. and Nancy too and I'd recommend anyone of them! My 5yo son gets his Mohawks and side shaved-in designs done there and my 7yo daughter favors an asymmetrical bob and peekaboo fashion colors in her under layers. It's awesome there; clean, friendly, fun convos, awesome service and talent, and just generally the kind of hair salon experience you see in rom coms. I'd give ten stars, but Yelp only lets me do ten! read more

I have been in the area for a few years and still can't seem to find a salon that I love. I was the only customer in the entire place, for the entire time I was there. The stylist was nice, but the lack of other clientele made me nervous. Where do the locals go to get their hair cut in York? The cut was reasonable (I think $45 for a regular cut) but I probably won't go back. read more

At another salon I got an awful haircut, I asked for layers and side bangs. They gave me no layers and cut a huge chunk out of my hair, that looked like an angle on one side. Jenna at Luxe fixed it, she gave me layers, angles and the side bangs I wanted. I also got a beautiful lash lift and spray tan that came out gorgeous. Jenna is positively FABULOUS! I made an appointment online through Facebook - not realizing it was for a salon and spa with the exact same name, but in Bedford, NH! So of course when I arrived and gave my name, I was NOT in the books. Jenna happened to have a cancellation and was on the way out the door BUT she figured out what happened, stayed and took great care of me!! We discussed what I wanted and looked at photos to further explain, and the complete experience was fantastic. The products are top line (squid ink shampoo / conditioner - so crazy but SO excellent), followed by a silky treatment of various oils...I had foils done and a haircut- and I am so excited to have found a new salon/ spa!! 5 stars all day - my hair feels amazing and I'm thrilled she fit me in before Christmas! I went to Luxe for a waxing and mani/pedi. All services were horrible. Very substandard. I could have done a better job of all myself. Mani was basically a nail polish change, the girl who did my pedi barely used any pressure on my feet and did not get any of the dead skin off; The waxing was not thorough. Also, it was very expensive which I would not have minded except for the poor quality of services I received.The girls were nice but they were also very disorganized. I will not return. read more
