I was happy with my first visit to Luxor. Had a pedi and Dazzle Dry mani with Kate. Unfortunately my next 2 visits didn't go well. In less than 24 hours my Dazzle mani started peeling. I notified the salon and was told to come in for a repair. Over the next 3 days waiting for an appointment all of my nails were peeling badly! She repolished at no charge which I appreciated but within 2 days the mani was peeling again. Something is wrong either with the product or the application. It felt rushed and maybe this is par for a basic. The manicurist haphazardly applied an oil to my right hand only. A 2 second swipe, not my left hand though. No hand massage at all, which is something I have everywhere else I have gone. Sat under nail dryer for at least 15 minutes. Went to retrieve credit card to pay. This resulted in a big mess on my newly manicured thumb. They did a half hearted touch up. Sat again for @10 mins. Still not sufficiently dry, but I gave up and left. Never again. read more

They have a huge selection of colors and the inside is very well decorated and comfortable. I needed my previous shellac mani removed, a new shellac mani & a regular pedi. The whole process took about 2 hours and cost $54-very reasonably priced! I'm taking off 1 star because I alerted my technician that I ripped off a hangnail the day before and my finger was very sore and sensitive. I have consistently waited atleast 30 minutes past my appointment time for the last few appointments. On top of these frustrations, my nails are a disaster today because instead of opening a new bottle of polish, they also prefer to continue to water it down with acetone and they should be embarrassed by how they let me leave. I went here before and they were never this bad. My nails were bleeding and she continued to pick at them and say sorry but keep going at them. I like that you can use Facebook messenger to make an appointment. My go to girl is Sa Sa. She's awesome! She is very thorough and so sweet. I've been coming here for months because I love my manicurist. However, ownership changed and they are now using cheap products for their dip polish. Two times in a row my nails cracked, the second time 1 week after getting them done. When I asked for a redo, they charged me because I didn't call ahead. If I could give less than 1 I would. My daughter (16) went in with a friend to get their brows waxed and it was just awful. When I called to discuss how unprofessional and inexperienced the service was I was met with attitude. Was told that my daughter had said okay when she saw them. Again she is 16 and doesn't want to insult anyone. Big lesson learned!! I just don't know how a "professional" would allow someone to walk out and pay for this service. Never again. I've been coming here for months and I always love the results! The only reason I giving 4 instead of 5 is because I make an appointment for every two weeks. That appointment is the same day/time. It's the first appointing of the day and the techs are almost always late. One time I have been taken care of at my appointment time. When we're late, we get out time cancelled (understandable) but it's very unprofessional to show up 10-20 minutes late every Saturday when you know you have appointments waiting. I wait because the quality of the work is wonderful and the staff is nice. I just wish they would make being on time a priority like they expect their customers too. read more

Save your time and find another nail spot. This has been my normal spot for 7 months now and will not be going back. The massages and customer care used to be good, but both have been going downhill fast. It took them 45 minutes to acknowledge me and finally sat me with 2 other ladies who had just arrived. I went in for a gel manicure at 6pm when they closed at 7, so my manicure was very rushed (it didn't even take half an hour) and my nails weren't evenly filed when I left. Have been going here for years because I live close by. Super disappointed by how dirty and careless this salon has come. Each of the technician stations have layers of dust and old filed nail debris on it. Floors are covered in nail clippings, used cotton balls, tin foil, and overall filth. Sink is constantly dirty and so are the pedicure tanks. Being a dental hygienist, I know what the pouches with their tools should look like after sanitization. The border should be dark gray, instead theirs are always light blue, the way the pouches come prior to any sanitization. They package them in the sterilization pouches but never sterilize then, why??? Also disappointed with my manicure when I leave recently. Takes a long time and doesn't look good anymore. read more

Clean, relaxing gel mani! I work w/my hands, bite, abuse them so I'm pretty picky w/where I go to get my manicures. Will totally be back because... 1) Clean! I love how they have sanitized packets of instruments WITH the nail file they use sanitized too! No concerns of other ppl's nail fungus contamination here. 2) mani comes w/proper prep of nails (I can see that they took many steps to make sure my gel nails are gonna stay) & finished off w/massage, mango scrub, parrafin dip to make your skin smooth 3) color selection is awesome. I had a hard time deciding. Also, in LOVE with color changing nails! Brings back memories of the 80's mood rings except it's your nails! Coworkers got a kick out of noticing when I'm hot or cold. Ha, it's the little things in life. 4) reasonably priced... Please ladies, keep it this way! Check in on Yelp for additional discount. I forgot. Oops. 5) conveniently located: lots of parking in plaza w/stop n shop & Starbucks. I can't relax w/o coffee. Bonus: they have a frequent buyer card. Way to incentivize us to come back. I got a great pedicure from here! I really liked the atmosphere in this nail salon. It was very welcoming and I felt very comfortable. This salon is pretty new so it was clean and nicely decorated. My nail tech was a man and I feel badly for forgetting his name, but he was super nice and did a wonderful job. Will definitely be back! Just a aside note on how chill the workers were, a lady returned twice while I was there for smudged nails from a manicure she had just had. The woman that helped repair the smudges both times was so nice and understanding. I felt like any other salon in town and they technicians would all be talking about her as soon as she left, but I never saw that (if they did complain they did so quietly). I am extremely upset about my most recent trip to Luxor. I have been going for months, but today was terrible. I got there waited 20 minutes, which was completely fine. At the beginning of the pedicure, people walked in with appointments. Therefore, my technician started working fast and rushed through my pedicure and skipped many things (buffing my nails, gave a rushed massage while my legs were still wet, and scrubbed by feet while they were dry). I then had a different technician for my nails and I felt like I was inconveniencing her the entire time because there were more people coming in with appointments.
