Everyone else wanted to put their own touch on it and it always ended up looking "small town mom" and a total disappointment. It was funny how she would go from chatty stylist to semi salesperson when she'd mention a product but that was minor and very low pressure (I hate sales pitches). She explained each step of the process and suggested some alterations to the cut that made sense with my hair/face combo. I got one side shaved and appreciated her just hopping in and doing it without the weird little build up/"areyousure?theresnoturningback" freak out some stylists do when you want to make more than a slight change. She waxed and shaped my brows too and they look much more polished. I have the slightest bruise on one lid but that happens about every third time i get them done so I can't blame that on her, in fact my brows usually are flame red for the rest of the day after a wax and they returned to their normal color by the time I left and I could actually go somewhere else in town I stead of hiding at home! I've washed and styled at home since the cut and it still looks great. It's a properly done cut that can be restyled at home with ease. There were no mistakes hidden in the styling at the salon (which seems to be a frequent thing). I'm knocking off a star because the receptionist was on the phone and didn't acknowledge me, nor did another stylist who came up to the front desk. Even a smile and nod would be fine. Just something good to let me know you can see me standing up there.

From the time I walked in, I knew this place was special. It was clean, well decorated, with designated spaces designed to enhance the experience. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Upon my arrival and check in, I was offered a warm robe and slippers. They provide lockers for your personal belongings. The women's area was very clean and well organized, complete with showers and toiletries for your needs. Throughout the facility, there were stations for beverages, coffee, tea, and water. While I waited for my aesthetician, I sat by a wonderful fireplace and just relaxed. When Anna came to get me for my facial, I was led to a private room. I can't stress enough how wonderful the ambience is in the spa. It promotes relaxation and peace of mind, both of which I needed. Anna was polite and attentive, and listened to my needs, and concerns. She even offered advice on a manicure I'd received from a different place a couple of days prior where my cuticles were sore, red and swollen. I only wish I had found Radiance Day Spa sooner! I'll definitely go there for my next manicure. After my facial, I was extremely relaxed. It included an arm and hand massage and neck. My skin was very smooth and moisturized afterwards.
