Came here this weekend for a 'courthouse wedding'. You can pay for something more private or you can choose to pay the basic ($100) and have a small ceremony in the rotunda, which is open to foot traffic. Depends on your preference. But this courthouse is absolutely gorgeous! Great photo ops here, both indoor and outdoor. Ample visitor parking. Woman who helped us with the event was such a sweetheart and so helpful. read more

The office that I needed to do business with had moved to a building across the street. But...my visit was not totally in vain because the county courthouse is a beautiful structure, inside and out. read more

Worst place to visit the employees are not allow to help I got rip off with the copy they charged me almost $15.00 dollars for few copy also no parking available if you have questions forgetting about that no answer. Also no form available not even online basically the employees there is not allow to talk. I hope I finished this process soon in that way I don't have to put once foot there again. read more

Beautiful inside and out, the Courthouse was built over 100 years ago and was since added to the National Register of Historic Places. A classic building, it is the epitome of power and the force of justice. Located on River Street, there grassy verge follows the river and is studded with historical markers and memorials including the anchor from the USS Wilkes-Barre and a memorial to those from Luzerne County who have given their lives in aid of the country. There is parking available across the street in the "Annex" lot. Or some metered parking a block away. If you're passing through, it's well worth a look.
