Lycee Montessori is truly a diamond in the rough, and I want to express my sincere appreciation for the open and effective communication we've experienced. It's clear that feedback is always mutually beneficial, leading to the best possible experience for my children. When I have had concerns, they have been typically addressed with thoughtfulness and care. If I feel there is an issue, the staff is quick to correct, and get to the root problem. The one area I could see for improvement would be around daily photo consistency. There are some days where the photos are flowing in, and others leaving us wondering what our children did for the day. It's nice to pair our conversations with them to photo proof. I would love to see more frequent daily photos so I can get a better, more consistent glimpse into my children's day and see their activities. I understand the staff is busy, and I want to emphasize that I'm looking for a smooth, efficient way to update this without it becoming an annoyance or a significant burden on their daily routine. Our family has been part of Lycee Montessori since June 2020 and we can honestly say it is one of the BEST decisions we have ever made for our children. From day one, the teachers and staff have treated our children with so much love, respect and understanding. Lycee truly is their home away from home. Our first child began attending Lycee at 14 weeks old and our second followed (at 10 weeks old) in November 2021. Over the years, we have watched our children grow into confident, curious and kind little people; so much of that is thanks to Noor and her incredible staff. The Montessori approach here is not just in name, Lycee is the only AMS (American Montessori Society) member in Cypress, Texas. They focus on academics as well as nurturing independence, empathy, and a genuine love of learning. The teachers really see each child. They celebrate their unique personalities and work with them to reach every milestone. As a parent, that level of care and attention means everything. Communication is always open and we have always felt supported and heard. When our child is not themselves, we get notified, just to let us know that something seems off. They have helped us navigate delays in walking, moderate plagiocephaly, and their staff were one of the first to identify issues with one of our children's eyes. We have been part of the Lycee community through so many stages and it is amazing to look back and realize how much our children -- and we, as parents, have grown here. Not only did they help our children reach their milestones, they guided us in ours as first time parents. From starting solids, learning to walk, weaning off a pacifier, potty training and learning to write ... they have been with us every step of the way. Our oldest attended Lycee from 14 weeks old until she began PreK-4 -- however, she still attends during off days, early dismissals and summer. Our second is still there full time. Our oldest transitioned beautifully to a standard school environment and has thrived emotionally, socially and academically. The peace of mind that Lycee has granted to us is invaluable and has allowed us to be a dual income family with complete confidence that our children are in loving, safe, and enriching hands. We are very happy with Lycee. The staff is great and very thoughtful and caring towards our kids. They're very communicative as well. The secure camera access for parents is a big plus compared to the other Montessori schools in the area. They really adhere to Montessori principles, and the teachers are well trained. We are beyond happy with Lycee. We have been sending our 3 year old and 1.5 year old and have noticed a huge shift in their independence, discipline, and social skills. This is also one of the only schools in Cypress that's actually Montessori accredited. The school is super communicative and uses tools like Procare and to keep parents in the know about what's going on. My kids are excited to go to school every day, and we can tell their teachers truly care about the kids and the curriculum. The school provides nutritious meals which has been a huge help for us to not worry about meal prep. They also provide camera access to parents which was a huge requirement for us, especially because my kiddos are so young. We would 100% recommend this school to all friends and family. read more

We started bringing our daughter to Lycee when she was 6 months old and she stayed there until she was 2 years old. The ONLY reason we left Lycee was because we moved too far away for it to be feasible to continue bringing her there. The thing that sticks out to me about Lycee more than anything was how much we felt like they truly loved her. When she wasn't in school, they called to check on her. When we'd pick her up, her teachers would tell us about her day and laugh with us about any silly things she would do. I love the Montessori curriculum as it is, but just because a school has "Montessori" in their name, doesn't mean they practice true Montessori values and teaching. We found this out the hard way after we moved. All of the teachers were so caring and anytime we ever had concerns about anything, it was addressed immediately, with sincerity and kindness. Noor & Kristine were always on top of things. I will say that I personally think that maybe some of the family events could/should be... revamped... (specifically the Thanksgiving event ) but at the end of the day we always felt our daughter was safe and well cared for. She was being taught valuable life & educational lessons from day one and we couldn't have asked for anything more! read more

So my son is 3 and fully potty trained, no daipers at home even at bed time. Until he started at Lycee. I would get texts demanding I bring more clothes that he had multiple accidents, to the extent of sometimes 5sets of cloth a day. I started complaining to the teacher and later the owner about it and they said, it's because he is now distracted by things in school unlike at home. The one that broke my heart was that they will tie plastic bags with the pee clothes all around his bag pack as he walks down the hall towards me when I go to pick him up, you will see other kids rushing to their parents, my son will come out like he lost all confidence with his head down . After sometime whenever I go to pick him, he would quietly get into the car with dried tears in his eyes, and the first thing he would say to me is that Ms. Teacher hit me because I peed myself. I don't even ask him, and that's the first thing he says. Also he will say I cried because I peed on myself, teacher was very angry. My son started school/when he was just 18months now hated school. Even though my husband was going to South Korea by the end of the year for deployment, I used that as an excuse to get him out of there quickly into another school...it's been two weeks in his new school and only one accident. He loves his new school so much that he doesn't even want to go home sometimes. Please listen to your heart and believe your kids. Don't be fooled...we told The only Male teacher and he was so apologetic over our experience and begged to please forgive them. So I wanted to share the experience, so you know what you are getting yourself into.would have mentioned names, but let me just let it be for now. Kitchen: Clean, organize, fully stocked, individual child items are labeled properly and handled. When preparing meals, the teachers wear gloves. Hot meals are prepared in house, not microwaved. Folder outside the classroom provides classroom communication. Sign-up sheet for classroom parties and flower donation (a great family bonding activity, BTW). Extracurricular: Soccer and gymnastics offered at 2yo, basketball at 3yo. additional fees. Payments: online, credit card, auto pay. Registration fee is paid each school year. Because the front desk person assists during the busy morning drop off time and afternoon pick up time, the front desk may not be manned. We decided to send our daughter to Lycee following the suggestion of our coworker that did extensive research and have been very happy with our decision. In the beginning we were very concerned in sending our first born, but every staff member has been very patient and understanding in helping our child transition into the daycare routine. It has been 10 months since our child started going to Lycee and we are seeing a lot of improvements in her behavior and are very happy with her development milestones. Lycee has been very good in communicating daily/weekly/monthly lesson plans/activities and I have yet to find any issue that we could not resolve. I researched several within a 5-8 mile radius of our home. We looked at regular daycares and Montessori schools. We toured Lycee and were impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the staff's professionalism. The tuition was reasonable and we liked that meals were included. Our kids have attended this school for over 1 year. They have really enjoyed being there as the teachers have treated very well and know them by name. The kids have certainly bonded with their teachers, and we have seen them flourish over the past year. In addition to the general academic program, there are various activities throughout the year for the kids such as the end-of-the-year party, Fall Festival, Thanksgiving Feast, and Holiday Performance just to name a few. I am a Mother of a newborn and a toddler when I started coming here 5 months ago. I hope my experience at Lycee Montessori and this review comforts every parent and gives a perspective of all views. I looked at several daycares in the area before I chose Lycee. As far as a facility, Lycee is extremely clean as well as newly built. I love that there is an entry code just to get in, surveillance cameras, and LIVE access to see my newborn throughout the day. Miss Noor is the director that gave me a tour and passionately gave me a clear understanding of the "Montessori" ways which are the principles and values they believe in of how they educate children here. On the first day I brought both my kids, Miss Christine (I believe is the assistant director) went out of her way to call me to let me know how they are doing and sent me pictures. This is not just a daycare, but a well-structured school that truly cares about their students, their well-being and helps them advance and grow. As a parent, it's hard enough to leave your child in the care of another. But thanks to all the amazing teachers and staff, they have made this possible and I am able to leave comforted knowing both my kids are in the most secure and best care. read more

My daughter has been attending Lycee since she was 3 months old. She's now almost 2. Since the infant class, we have felt our baby girl was so loved by the teachers. She's always been taken great care of. She learns so much and the teachers do such a wonderful job with her. We love being able to see her on camera and peak in on her whenever we want. Anything we have questions on, the staff is always a call away and are so helpful. We never have any concerns when our daughter is in their care. Her safety and well being are priority number one. This is an amazing school with so many different types of children. The directors are great and everything is always so beautiful and clean!

This school is great for kids who fit nicely into their existing systems and processes. Unfortunately, they are not open to working with parents or kids with special circumstances or needs. We were told they'd be happy to implement any strategies if we would pay for an additional teacher to be in the classroom full time. I got the impression that most of the teachers were young and hadn't experienced many unique situations. We were disappointed in our experience there. read more

My daughter has been enrolled here since she was 12 months old. From day one we have seen her grow leaps and bounds. She transitioned so we'll with the teachers who have her excellent care. As she became older and moved to the next class the quality care did not stop. She absolutely loved her teachers Ms. Ashley and Ms. Neida. They identified her growth and allowed her to maximize her learning. She was toilet trained before she turned two years old and her vocabulary is outstanding for someone her age. I am throughly impressed with the family environment that is presented in this school. I feel very engaged in her learning even though I am not there with her everyday. My daughter has been attended this school for last two months. I'am a mom of 3 kids. I totally understand toddlers will be sick more often since they are in daycare. But this was never happened before in any daycare or kinder we attended. In this case, what I couldn't understand is how she got different kinds of virus and infection so frequently in last two months. My daughter got hand, foot, mouth on the 3rd day of the school, we took some days off and then traveled for 10 days, she is fully recovered when we return her to school, then on 3rd day of school she got fever again, this time she got strep throat, ear infection and rosela at same time. Then we took more than10 days off school, returned a healthy toddler to school after that. Last week my daughter confirmed Covid from this school, now she is still suffering since fever is on/off and coughing so much. Why I know all virus are from this school, because they have confirmed cases in school. Last two months, the total days of my daughter attended this school are less than 30 days. Our family have asthma history, when my daughter passed all those virus to other family member so frequently, we are totally suffering in last two months. And we decided to drop and paid 3 months tuition to this school to prevent my daughter suffer more kinds of virus. read more

I cannot even begin to express what a blessing this school has been, not only for our daughter, but our family as a whole. They have the perfect level of structure to ensure top-notch learning is occurring daily in a fun, safe and respectful environment. Lycee is not a daycare, but rather a school that focuses on the growth and well being of the whole child. The teachers love their students- and it shows every day. I try to never let a day go by without letting them know how much their influence on my daughter (coming from an unstructured and mildly crazy daycare) has impacted her behavior and habits at home, which has further impacted our entire family. We moved to cypress about a year and a half ago and were looking for a Montessori school close to us. After lots of research and reading reviews we enrolled our daughter in Lycee Montessori. We started her at 19 months; she had never been in a school setting before so we wanted to make sure we were choosing the best school that we could. I knew she would be hesitant, but after the third week she walked in on her own and seems happy to go each day. She has learned so much in the short time and I love their structure and constant communication. Her teachers Ms. Tatiana, Ms. Fiona, and Ms. Lissett consistently update me on her status and are very responsive. I love that they have breakfast, lunch, and snacks daily and update how much of each meal she ate. As a first time mom, it's hard to feel secure placing your child anywhere but I really feel at peace knowing she is well taken care of and thriving in a Montessori environment. read more

We started my daughter here at 15 months and immediately noticed her language and independence improve! She is 4 now and I can honestly say that after being home during the pandemic for several months, she was a new kid after returning back to Lycee. Her temperament was happier, her moods were more stable, and she always has amazing things to say about not only her teachers, but every teacher and adult in the building. Lycee Montessori is worth the money we spend for our child's care and education. My son started when he was about 14 months. He learned a few sign languages which helped him communicate with us more effectively. The teachers were amazing and loving. He was a clingy baby but they made sure he felt comfortable to a point where he was able to follow the set schedule and be more independent. He transitioned to the toddler class, and here he is learning to be more independent. The teachers are caring and very patient. I was able to see him work on his activities and was impressed and he is barely 2! They don't only focus on academics but practical life as well. This is important for us because we want our son to be well rounded. We are very satisfied. Every kid is different, they all learn at a different pace but to be able to have an environment that caters to these differences is a plus and we have found that here in Lycee. read more

I love Lycee Montessori School. My 18 month old attends school here and we love it. The educational dynamics are new to us as a family and everyone at Lycee are helping us along the way. My little one is learning to sign, wash dishes, to clean up after herself, and so much more. She can open and close containers (which is new for us at home) as well as use her utensils when eating. We can go out to eat as a family and not be embarrassed about her behaviors. She is only 18 months but in just the few months she has attended here I see a tremendous difference in her overall. I can now sign to get her to do things and she responds. There is too much to list, but this place is an awesome learning environment and the teachers are excellent. I have yet to meet someone that works here and they are not excited about what they do. They truly love my little one and are a home away from home for her. read more
