Therefore, if you have animals in your home, & want to keep your home clean & smelling nice, you know, like I do, the importance of using a reputable carpet cleaning company who values their customers. Never in a million years did I think that Upfront Home Service would do me dirty like this after all of our years of working together but I guess that's what happens when a company gets GREEDY. They forget that it is their long time customers who helped them to succeed. Recently, we scheduled a move out carpet cleaning with a few patch repairs. At first, I thought everything was going great until I saw the one patch job. We brought it to the technicians attention & he said that was the absolute best patch that could be done. I didn't agree but waited until it dried. After he left, I went upstairs and noticed that the scent that is usually very pleasant after carpet cleaning was not there but instead the stench of dirty water was present & extremely strong.This was not the norm in past jobs with them so I immediately knew something was not right. I called the office & asked them to send someone over right away to see the job that was done and to smell the odor. I thought Rachel was going to send over a supervisor to check things out the next day but all that came over was a regular technician with a can of deodorizer to mask the odor. I thought they would have redid carpet & fixed the patch but that was not the case. Mind you, my circumstances have never changed during the 9 years I have used Upfront Home Services I have always had animals, & yes, animals have accidents. There was no more or less than the norm. After they cleaned my carpet, the carpet smelt great each time, so they cannot say it was my fault or point fingers. If they had only come out to see for themselves what I was referring to after I asked them to, they would have seen & smelt what I was talking about but they chose not to. A few days after this took place, & after I had a few moments to myself after moving State to State, I wrote an email to the owner, Joseph Pais expressing my concern & instead of reaching out to me personally, he had someone by the name of Daniel Guida call on his behalf. He seemed nice at the time & said he would send someone over to fix. I explained to him that the second visit should have handled this & that we no longer had access to the home. We moved out. I told him we had spent almost $1000 on this work & the least they could do since they didn't fix any of it on second visit was to maybe refund us something. Maybe 15-20 percent of the cost since the job was not done right & no one thought it necessary to stop by next day to see what we were talking about. Well a week later, Daniel did not call me back so I sent a follow up Text to him yesterday. I saw that he read my text but didn't feel he should be professional & reply. I then sent another email to the owner, this morning, & he had the nerve to offer me a refund of $50 & a $300 credit if we ever returned to Texas & needed carpet cleaning. We moved to Florida 2 weeks ago AND WHY DO I NEED TO WAIT TO RETURN TO GET A CREDIT? REFUND ME NOW. THE JOB STILL SUCKS!!!!! If Joseph or Daniel had come to the house, they would have witnessed first hand our complaints & the odor we had after they cleaned it along with the really bad patch job. If our 9 years of business means nothing to them & they insult me by offering me a $50 refund after spending almost $1000 on this past job, then they can keep it. Apparently, they need the money more than I do. Keep this in mind if you need to hire a company to clean your carpet, tile, etc. If my 9 years of business meant absolutely nothing to them, how do you think they will treat you or your home?

As a matter of fact there was a misunderstanding in the quote as I thought it included new ducts, but it did not. But James replaced for free due to the misunderstanding on my part. He did not have to do that because it was my mistake in communication. Prior to that I had 2 other hvac systems installed by another company. So I called that company that did the install to repair one. Within hours of repairing one hvac, the other failed. So I had to wait over the weekend for them to return to fix the hvac and on Monday my schedule. Then I decided to use Richmond Air for the repair. I only would be at my house from 8:30 to 10am due to a departing flight. I called Richmond Air at 7:30 AM on Monday to see if they could send someone to my house within the hour. The owner, James showed up with a staff member. So the other company's staff accidentally let out my Freon. James called the company and explained the mistake for me and arranged for them to replace my Freon for free. That is honestly and great customer service. He could have replaced the Freon and charged me, which is expensive and let me figure out the situation with the other company. So that deserves my business and yours. Trustworthy, competence and great pricing. I hope this review helps you select Richmond Air. The carpet was very wet for three or four days, we had to put multiple fans on it to have it dry. This smell came off, it dried stiff from detergent . The carpet was very chemical smelling. It burned our eyes and throats. We aired out the house for a few days. This smell just went from bad to worse and the amount of water that was left behind and soap. The carpet became dirty quickly again due to extended dampness and detergent residue . We called and complained and a second trip was scheduled for a redo. The same crew came back. There was a language barrier of sorts with one of the young men, I don't know this for sure but I don't think either was over the age of 21 one gentleman was from Nigeria and he was managing the other young man and you simply had to try very hard to communicate they came in confused about why they were having to redo The carpet. They told me that after they left I should keep the air conditioner on about 67° for a few days to dry the carpet. They walked into my house, dragging a dirty hose in as seen in the picture that they had drugged through my yard and over our sidewalk Dragging in across our walk off mat that was about $85 at Home Depot. That is now filthy. They came back into the house several times wearing the same disposable shoes that they had just walked on grass and a muddy sidewalk from water runoff, didn't change them just walked in with the same shoes several times as seen in the picture they left leaves behind in the entry hall and as mentioned a dirty walk off mat and carpet that is very wet and that same awful smell of chemical. Value I have placed a second complaint we were told they could do another redo with another crew. I told him no my wife and my family and I had already been inconvenienced twice. I didn't wanna be inconvenienced again just to live in a house for a total of six days with wet carpet and no access to the great room . Stanley steamer does not offer a refund policy? Could that be because they have refunded so much they can't afford to refund anymore. We will not be using them in the future and we do not recommend anyone use them.

The reason is because when I signed up over the phone for a free estimate, the person who took my information was very professional, and something that I extremely value is professionalism. The person who came to check out the house that I wanted to have cleaned, which is vacant at the moment, called me over the phone before coming and was very honest about what they could and could not do for the home. I want to say his name was Nick but I don't remember a 100%, but just that honesty and being able to talk out about what we needed to do for the home was valuable information to me and I appreciate that because that everyone is honest nowadays (or ever). In the end, I'll have to gut the shower and tiles and they won't actually get clean with just steam but I'm happy to know there are honest people around.
