Lynda Lake is a horribly rude and deceitful person!  I am looking to purchase a horse that was purchased from her just two months prior.  She first mis-represented the horse to the buyer and also told the buyer that the sire was Hollywood Dunnit.  I reached out to her to get some history on the horse.  The first time I called she was abrupt and rude and told me to get more info before calling her.  She later called me after the buyer called her out on that.  I tried to ask questions about the history of the horse and she did not want to give any answers.  I asked if the sire was Hollywood Dunnit because I wanted to check for genetic predispositions and she now says she doesn't know who the sire or dam is.  She kept telling me what type of questions I should be asking which could have in no way been fact checked.  I cannot even adequately describe in words what an unsavory person this is! read more

Stay as far away as you can! Bought a horse for my 72 yr old mother - was told the the horse was solid broke, quiet, and bomb proof. Kid & grandma safe - Her boyfriend would deliver the horse - we paid several hundred for the haul to SoCal. This guy shows up in the middle of the night to drop the horse off - it was absolutely freezing and the horse came out scared and cold. Within 2 days he was sick w/ pneumonia w/ a fever of 104!!! He had to go in quarantine and we spent thousand getting him healthy. Once healthy we saddled up the "bomb proof" horse - I had a young trainer hop on the horse prior to putting my 72 yr old mother on and thank God I did!!!!!! I have never seen a horse so absolutely terrified - took off bucking & jumping like no horse I had ever seen! He would have killed my mother had it been her - we have spent a few years and tens of thousands of dollars on training to help him as there was no way we were sending back to the shithole he came from. He still has many fear/trust issues and my mother was never able to ride him but at least we saved him and hopefully can find a good home for him now. I run into people at NEARLY every horse event we go to and when asked what is going on with her, as they all know my story, someone pops in with the EXACT same experience, or a horse that was cool and calm at her rented facility (facility is owned by a man in TX), and was dangerous and a completely different horse when she got it home. This is coming from a woman who is an outstanding horse woman and an expert at trail trials. Another woman bought a horse from her and said the same thing happened to her. I have been doing business with Lynda since 2011. I am a horse trainer in the Bay Area and I purchase horses for my lesson program from Lynda. When my lesson horses get sore or need a break she lays them up for me as well. They always come home from Lynda's happy, sound and ready to go back to work. Since I buy older horses for my lesson program, they can be a little creaky but they are all safe and sane. Lots of love goes into these horses and finding them the best spot. Linda's place is unique in that the horses get to live outside in a herd environment and move around at will. For those bringing a horse into a stabled environment, you might have to put some time into helping them get adjusted. Our therapeutic riding instructor has bought several horses through Linda, and at least two didn't work out. Linda continued to take horses back and trade for another until she found the right horse to work with the disabled kids. Not many a horse trader would put that much time and energy into selling just one horse for a very low price! Linda's review of herself (in the filtered reviews) says it all. Not every horse dealer is for every person. But if you need to buy a horse or sell a horse check Lynda out. She is great! read more

Lynda is AWESOME! I work for a road service company, who came across a person that was out of money and needed a horse trailer and truck towed off of I-5. Unfortunately there was a horse in the trailer and my towing company could not assist with the horse in the trailer. I called multiple horse boarding companies off of Yelp with no success until I got to Lynda Lake Boarding. With out a question, Lynda dropped what she was doing, hooked up her trailer and drove about 30 miles to go get this horse, and took it back to her ranch for safe keeping over night. I wouldn't hesitate doing business with Lynda if the need ever comes up. Lynda definitely has a passion for horses, ensuring that they are kept safe and calm. Thank you Lynda! read more

I bought a horse from Lynda Lake and her friend Ashley. The horse they said was 10 she was almost 30. They gave me in writing I could return the horse and refused. The horse was very sick for months and ended up lame. I took her to small claims, received judgement and never have been able to collect. She gathers horses from all over, sells what she cans and the rest go off to slaughter. Some had paper numbers still on them from being in an auction.Very bad people, wish I could collect the $3k I was awarded..... should have known better when I saw the conditions the horses were in. read more

No, No, No do not buy or sell a horse with Lynda Lake. We called Lynda about a horse she posted on Equinenow. By her description you couldn't ask for a better gelding. When we got there she pulled out a great looking gray gelding labeled as anyone can ride. The horse walked 10 feet and started to freak out so Lynda made her assistant saddle a horse and lead us out to the pasture. The horse would walk 10 feet then start to freak again and refuse to move. When we pushed the subject it escalated to dangerous. I told my husband to get off then I asked the asst to ride him and we'd watch. The asst COULDN"T ride the horse and was scared so he got off. We asked her what else she had. She showed us the nicest ranch horse you've ever seen. Big, bulldog type gelding, 12 years old, smooth and very well trained LOVED HIM...!!! We asked her what the owner was asking for him. It was way more than we could afford but we made an offer the next day. She said the owner would never except our offer but guess what they did...so she sold it to her friend for the same price ...right out from underneath us. Steer clear of this gal....she gives horse brokers a bad name. #crook read more

I first met Miss Lynda in August 2008 when she agreed to sell one of my horses. Since then she has sold 3 horses for me and I have purchased a couple of horses from her that we both agreed were the perfect fit for me. Lynda always kept me updated on the status of my horses when she was selling them for me and always made sure that the horses we looked at for purchase would fit me and my needs. I have been fortunate to observe her training horses and am always amazed on her techniques and how at times when needed she thinks outside the box to get the message across to the horse. Miss Lynda cares very deeply for all of her horses as well as her boarders horses and her clients horses in for training. Her knowledge and experience in working with horses allows her to see when and where a horse might need a little adjustment, and she corrects it allowing the horse to move freer and happier.
