My son attended Lynda's Daycare from 2022 to 2024. He was 1.5 years old when he started. We were so fortunate to have found Lynda, her family and her daycare community of kids and parents. They were truly the most amazing group of people we'd ever met. Lynda really cares about the kids and only wants what's best for every child she cares for. My son thrived during the two years he attended, and he loved Lynda, the kids, and of course the lunches (he was so well fed at daycare he hardly ate at home during the weekdays). Lynda believes in each child's potential and makes sure they're on track with their milestones and so much more. She caters to each child's needs and really cares about setting them up to succeed at whatever it is that they're put through. She is very communicative with parents and empathetic towards the hardships of parenthood. Unfortunately we had to move out of state, so we're no longer in her care, but I wish we never had to leave. We've been away for 3 months now, but my son still talks about Lynda and his friends that he met at her daycare. Just about a year ago, I had my first child and as a first time mom and also a working mom, I was terrified of the idea of leaving my child in a daycare and also accepting the idea of someone else taking care of my LO during most of the workday. I knew finding the perfect daycare is so important. One big scare I had are all the articles that a first time mom should stop reading on Google, I must advice, to keep it in perspective. :) Finding Lynda has been such a tremendous blessing to our family. She and her family has given us the peace of mind that we needed especially for the safety of our child. She has such a kind and caring heart for all the little ones she takes care of, she comforts them when needed and takes the effort in finding out what they may need. Lynda shows years of experience in caring for children. Last year, she had her 25 years celebration put together by her family and other family of the children she took care of over the years and it was beautiful to see how many families she's touched and I was glad we are a part of it and so thankful to have found her. Her care feels very personal with every single child. Every holiday and even on regular days they do arts and crafts, sing songs and makes some days extra special. She somehow maintains a peaceful, yet playful environment for the children. Whenever we do drop offs, my LO always seem so happy to be there and filled throughout the day. Throughout the time my LO has been with Lynda's care, from a crawler to a full toddler run, I've seen my LO progressed very well in social skills and cognitive development. Lynda has been a huge part of raising our LO. She is easy to talk to and it's easy to have an open and transparent relationship with her. I've asked her for advice and have also asked her to implement certain ways to help us reach a certain milestones. She'll give her suggestions on where our child should be at a certain age and that has been really helpful for us. She pays attention on their needs and most of the time 5 steps ahead. This review is long overdue. My daughter, Mila has been enrolled in Lynda's childcare for over 1 year and I can't share enough about how much of a blessing it has been to our family. I believe in a thorough review when it comes to childcare, so a little backstory. My then baby (now toddler) was enrolled in a daycare center for only a few days and it was a nightmare. After an incident, I pulled her out immediately and frantically contacted Lynda searching for "the right fit" as I was heading back to work from my maternity leave. I'd like to share my thoughts on our phone interaction for those that mention Lynda's "directness and demeanor". Lynda is to the point with parents (which I LOVE). It is so important when talking about the care, safety, and well being of my child, that she is matter of fact. I could hear that she was busy with the kiddos in the background, so she didn't have time to fluff the conversation as her attention was on the kids (as it should be). However, she told me she has just a minute, but quickly shared logistics and details and I immediately set up a tour for that night. Once I arrived to her home, I knew this is where my child was going to enroll. Lynda has an inviting and safe home - with dedicated spaces for learning, play (indoor & outdoor), meal times, nap, etc. Lynda provided a packet of references from previous families over the past 20+ years, her ideology, safety practices, etc. My toddler has been nap and sleep trained from when she was 4 months old and I had a specific schedule and nap environment I wanted to continue for her. Lynda does her absolute best to work with all families and made sure that she would accommodate my schedule and my daughter's routines of a dark room with white noise for her naps. I left her a deposit that night and we've been so happy every since! Lynda is an extension of our family and I couldn't imagine anyone else caring for our baby girl. She explains that she works alongside the families to support the care, learning, and development of our children. If I ever have a question or concern, Lynda is happy to talk one on one with me at drop off or via phone / text. Lynda is fantastic with my daughter and the other children. You can tell she truly loves the kiddos in her care and that they love her. My daughter is meeting and exceeding so many critical milestones and learning so much with Lynda. She believes in a balanced play based learning approach and the kids in her care are definitely kindergarten ready. They are often doing crafts and activities and my daughter loves to show me her creations from that day. They celebrate birthdays, holidays, and so much more. She makes wonderful home-cooked and healthy balanced meals - my daughter even asked if she could go to Lynda's for lunch on a Saturday because she wanted her food instead of mine - ha! I could go on and on, but will wrap this novel up by saying that Lynda's Daycare has been invaluable to our family. Mila is a smart, social, happy, and thriving toddler and much of that is due to her day to day time spent in Lynda's care. read more

If I could give Lynda 100 stars I would. Lynda has been absolutely AMAZING. My son has been in her care for about 3 1/2 - 4 years now. He started when he was crawling. Lynda treats every kid as her own and loves them and cares for them with her whole heart. She had been such a huge part of my sons growth and development. My son is going into elementary school this year and let me tell you, he can count to 100, spell his name, he knows his ABCs, can read 3-5 letter words, knows my phone number and address and so much more. I 1000% believe Lynda has had a huge role in his development and I cannot express enough how thankful I am for her. Her daycare is very structured and they do so many things such as workbook, flash cards, storyboards, arts and craft, nap time, celebrates holidays and birthdays with everyone & not to mention my son says she make the best yummy nutritious food for them. She is always willing to send pictures, give advice and communicate with each parent. Whether that means letting you know your child had a good or bad day (let's me honest, every kid has some bad day) but even on those bad days she truly helps them work through their challenges and still loves them. I could go on for hours about how much I love Lynda and her daycare... she truly is an amazing extension of our family and I will forever be grateful my son got the chance to be apart of her daycare. Lynda is so caring for each of the kids she takes care of. It's as if a family member was watching your kid for you. My son loves her and always enjoyed going to her house everyday. She has a set routine for the kids which definitely helps at home. They do crafts, she teaches them how to share and be kind to one another. She feeds them home cooked meals which my son loved. Knowing your kid is loved and well taken care of is such a relief. I definitely would recommend anyone to Lynda. I appreciate her so much. read more

Lynda was highly recommended to us by a friend who sent both of her boys there. My daughter, who is now 5 years old has been at Lynda's since she was 6 months old and we couldn't be happier. I loved having my infant in a setting where older kids were present to give their interpretation of the day's events (rather than relying on the word of the teachers in a baby room in a large daycare setting). And now that she is older, she gets to work on patience and gentleness as she interacts with the younger kids. My daughter absolutely adores Lynda and loves going to play with her friends. It is obvious that Lynda truly care for each child too. It is very telling that the older kids still want to come and hang out with her on school breaks or just stop by to say "hi." Our initial plan was to put our daughter in preschool at 4, but there was no need. She was already academically and socially prepared for Kindergarten by that time. Lynda has a structured scheduled that includes reading, arts and crafts, academic prep, homemade meals and outside play time. At 5 my daughter can identify almost 100 words and cannot get enough of books! She completes 75 piece puzzles, can do simple math, writes all upper and lowercase letter, and loves doing art projects. Lynda even takes the time to help them research and create projects about things they are interested in. For example, my daughter (after listening to Little House on the Prairie) decided she wanted to make "old fashion" crafts, so Lynda taught them how to create their own beads out of clay to make necklaces. Lynda is patient in problem solving with parents any behaviors that arise and emphasizes sharing and inclusion among the children. Lynda's has been like family to my daughter for 5 years and it will be hard on all of us to move on to kindergarten. I cannot recommend Lynda enough to any family who wants their child to grow well rounded in a safe and loving environment. read more

Lynda is amazing! We needed a good, affordable daycare close to where I work in a hurry. My in-laws were re-modeling the house and so leaving my son with my mother in law would not be possible. Lynda was able to take our son on for a while. The construction went longer than expected, but Lynda was able to keep him on a bit longer (she had a temporary vacancy at the time). During my son's time at the daycare, he was able to socialize and I always got updates on how he was doing. She went above and beyond in my opinion. She also spoke to him in Spanish (not fluent, but made her best to make sure he got some exposure) since he would be missing out on the exposure to the language that he would have received with grandma during the day. They do arts and crafts, get fed well. She asks you what you prefer for your child (bottle, sippy cup) and she follows through. She keeps the kids on a schedule, which helped greatly when transitioning my son back to going home. Very knowledgeable. I cannot say enough how she is just the best. This is my sons and daughter first time ever going to a preschool/daycare. They have been very patient with them especially since my son has some developmental delays and ever Since he's been with them he's been making progress! They treat kids like a second part of their family. Also, without them informing me of my daughters symptoms of an ear infections, I would have never known! Communication is also key, (they're not mind readers) so if your child has specific needs they will be sure to do their best with it! So for that I'am so thankful to have found them. This place is a total disappointment! I would rate it a 0 but unfortunately that's not an option. I was really excited to meet Lynda because of all the other positive reviews. It's unfortunate that people judge you in such a negative way without knowing anything about you. My family and I don't get anything for free we pay for everything! Disciplined, safe, respectful, and love are some of the key words that come to mind when we think of Lynda's day care! Lynda's was the third child care we visited and the last! As soon as you walk into her home we felt a sigh of relief! Her home was clean, the children were happy, curious and well mannered! After two visits with her we left our then 6 month old son with her, although nervous we knew that we could trust her! It has been 2 years now and our son has learned to stay on sidewalks when outdoors, communicate his needs, eat a variety of foods (which by the way lynda makes her meals from scratch and her previous clients now young adults return to visit her and eat her meals) learn social skills of sharing and playing and is now toilet trained! We are so happy for the decision we made to have our son be in the caring and loving hands of lynda and her family!!! read more

I came across Lynda's Daycare online as I was searching for a daycare center for my first baby. After reviewing her website, she seemed like the most warmest, welcoming and caring person to take care of my child. I was ecstatic and eager to speak to her to gain further information about her daycare. When I called her, she picked up the phone with a cold and annoying tone, "hello?" I'm then thinking to myself, hmm... I hoped I called the right place. I quickly responded with, "Is this Lynda's Daycare?" She said, "yes it is"... Cool, OK.. so..I then told her that I had come across her website online and was interested and eager to learn more about her daycare. She responded with a matter-of-fact tone, "Well, I don't have any openings right now, did you need a daycare NOW?" I said, "Well not until the beginning of October" and she responded with "Oh, well... I might have openings by then so what do you want to know? Fire away." WOW....really? Instead of providing me with a little background about herself, her daycare and how she coordinates and schedules her day, she was very rude and expected me to come up with all these questions to ask her. I'm sorry, but part of the reason that people call these daycares is not only to obtain information about their facility, but to also get to know the person who will potentially be taking care of their child!!! As a first-time mom, It is very important to me that I find someone I can trust, someone who appears to be welcoming, caring and passionate about their work before I decide this is someone whom I would want to leave my child with. The conversation did not last long however and when I asked her whether she provided meals, I hung up the phone as I did not care to hear anymore from her. I was in complete awe with the rude tone of voice she used throughout the entire conversation that I quickly realized she is not someone I would want leave my child with! From the way she conducted herself on the phone, it is very clear to me that she doesn't need the business... so fellow customers: BEWARE. I am social worker and was returning to work so, we had to look for child care for my 6 month old. I had looked at two other child care centers prior to Lynda's and was appalled at what I saw: no adult supervision for the children, children in excer-saucers (if you know child care regulations licensed care centers cannot have anything that restrains a child I.e. Excer-saucers, etc), dirty, and animal feces infected places! When I first called Lynda, I didn't quite get a warm, comforting voice on the line (I know someone mentioned that in their review), but I thought not to jump to any conclusions or assumptions as of yet until I visited. So I made a visit-Lynda's isn't a large day care, but a cozy home. But then again her license is only for a certain amount of children. The small ratio is great for learning! Lynda greeted me at the door and She provided me a tour of her clean home, showed me where my son would be napping, and the areas he would be playing in. She also provided me with a book of her references that I could contact as well as formal paperwork to attend her child care. 4 years later my son still attends Lynda's and has learned to be safe around streets, play with other children, use scissors safely (@ 18 months), speak politely, eats healthy home cooked meals (Lynda cooks all her meals), write his name, knows how to count and identify numbers as well as identify letters! It may not seem like it at first impression, but Lynda loves each child she cares for. To this day, she has prior children from even 15 years ago coming to visit her! Moral of story: don't judge a book by it's cover!! Or judge a personality by a telephone voice! She has not only been a child care provider for our son, but she has been an integral part of our family! read more

Our daughter has been going to Lynda's Day Care for 3 years (she is now 4). Lynda is great because she is loving, experienced (17 years), and reliable. My wife and I are both educators and interviewed several home day cares as well as a few school-type settings, and we chose Lynda. We have been very happy with her. Our daughter has learned social skills, made friends with the other children, and also has learned academics to prepare for kindergarten. In fact, Lynda does a great job with teaching academics to the kids, so that we have decided not to send her to preschool this year. Also, she has been very helpful in working with us through critical stages, such as potty training. Lynda's loving care includes home cooking, and celebrating holidays and birthdays with the kids, and she even has gifts for them. We have recommended Lynda to our friends. All the parents that we know that have chosen Lynda have been very satisfied. I was one of the first round of kids at Lynda's Daycare. I started there when I was 13 months old to five years old, and I have had nothing but fond and beautiful memories of my time spent there. By the time I went into kindergarten I was reading, knew my ABC's, knew how to count to 100, could write my name, address and phone number and knew all my shapes and colors. Along with all the amazing social interactions with the other kids I got life long friends and family. I recommend her to all who inquire about any sort of daycare needs. We have trusted both of our children to Lynda and she has been great. She provides a loving, nurturing atmosphere. Our children have learned social skills and were both very well prepared for preschool/kindergarten. Academics, basic skills, colors, numbers, letters, etc. are all a part of our children's day at Lyndas. Lynda has also kept her prices low to help families during the recession. As a school teacher and school district administrator, we would highly recommend Lynda to anyone looking for child care. I have known Lynda and her family for 11 years. I first met her when I interviewed her while I was looking for child care for my first child in 2001. All of my children (three) have be blessed by them all being able to have Lynda as their child care provider. I was looking for a small group enviroment that my children would beable to get enough attention but also have the benefit of having a social enviorment that is so important to young children's developement. I found exactly what I was looking for with Lynda. All the activities that the children do at her house helps the children learn and develop their motor skills that are so important to practice for when they begin kindergarten. She also identifies specific things that the child may need extra attention in. My youngest child mumbles and Lynda brought it to my attention and suggested things we could do at home to help him speak more clearly. All my children were ready to start Kindergarten on their regular scheduled start date and knew the specifics items that they were evaluated on during their kindergarten evaluation. The love and attention that all of my children received at Lynda's were phenomenal. I am very particular about whom I leave my children with and I was never concerned about how my children were doing because I knew that they were in good hands. My youngest child just had his last day at Lynda's last week and I realized how much I depended on Lynda for not only taking wonderful care of my children but also for advice if I was having a difficult time with my kids in other areas, behavior, educational milestones...etc. Lynda was always available to give suggestions. Lynda was highly recommended to us by my husband's co-worker who sent her daughters there. Our daughter was only 14 months old when she started with Lynda. It was a difficult transition for us parents and for our daughter to leave her to a daycare while she was having separation anxiety but we knew our daughter is safe and is cared for which gave us peace of mind while we were at work. Lynda's house feels warm, comfortable and is clean. Our daughter loves her home cooked meals. Lynda has different activities set for the children everyday to keep them busy both inside and outside the house like reading books, counting, puzzles, singing nursery rhymes, hand painting and other art projects that develop the children's fine motor skills. If you are looking for quality daycare where your children are safe AND nurtured...you can't beat Lynda's Daycare. I found Lynda almost18 years ago when I was looking for daycare for my daughter, who was just one year old at the time. When I walked into her home, I got that "warm fuzzy" feeling. You know...that feeling of comfort that lets you know everything is alright and a good fit. I noticed the daycare kids having fun and smiling. She was getting ready to serve them lunch...made from scratch homemade meals that are nutritious and delicious. She teaches them Kindergarten readiness skills such as ABC's, counting, and eventually they start to write their own names. She was doing everything I would do as my daughter's mother. The other places I checked (over 30 places locally) were just baby-sitters...but Lyndas was different because she actually cared. She doesn't just promise to keep your child physically safe, she genuinely is interested in raising the whole child. Mentally, emotioning, etc. She reads to them. She plays games with them to practice social skills, counting, sharing, good sportsmanship, and patience. She cheers for them when they learn to use the potty (and yes, she helps potty train). She does art with the kids to develop fine motor skills and she makes sure they get a lot of outdoor play to develop those large motor skills. Nobody is plopped in front of a TV all day on her watch. I'm a teacher, so education and development is very important to me. In fact, a good majority of her parents are teachers and other professionals who work with children (speech therapists, occupational therapists, etc.) I guess it takes a teacher to know a teacher, and really...that is what Lynda really does. She doesn't just babysit, she teaches them all those things we want our children to learn. I put my daughter in her care nearly 18 years ago, and she stayed until she had to go to Kindergarten. When I had my son 5 years ago, I knew I was going to put him in Lynda's daycare because I knew my son would be nurtured and cared for exactly the same as my daughter was. Both of my children call her Aunt Lynda because she treats her parents and kids like family. She protects and nurtures...and we all love her for it. My daughter is in college now and my son is about to start Kindergarten and both are doing great, with a lot of the credit going to Lynda for giving my kids a solid footing in their early years while I was at work. It's funny...people will put a lot of research into picking out a car and figuring out a budget that allows them to make that car payment, but I've seen a lot less research put into where people drop off their children and what they are willing to pay for it. And she's not even expensive! If you price around, you'll see she's fair and reasonable. I'm a single parent with a child in college...and I always feel like my daycare expense is money well spent. People who go to Lynda's stay there until it's time for their children to go to school because they realize what a catch she is and how fortunate we are to have had her in our children's lives.
