Had some free time around the Milwaukee area and looked on Yelp, Trip Advisor, and Atlas Obscura and found Lynden Sculpture garden - decided to give it a try since they all had positive comments. Free parking and free admission. Nice bonus to go with the beautiful area to check out. There are 40+ sculptures on the property to explore, and you can take a nice leisurely walk to check them out. There is also a gift shop with various items for sale as well. There is a large pond area and coupled with the sculptures it all makes for a nice serene experience to enjoy when you have time to visit. There are also some picnic tables so you can enjoy a bite to eat before of after exploring the area. I enjoyed the various types, sizes, and colors of the sculptures. 1 of the featured artists also had work at another park that we visited in Iowa.

Amazing outdoor sculpture garden outside the city of Milwaukee. Peaceful Walking Art Sculpture Gardens Peaceful I love sculpture as an art form, and I love walking in gardens, so this place has it all! We visited in fall/winter, and I would love to go back in summer, as things are blooming. My only knock is that the collection seems dated to when the Lynden/Bradleys were alive and actively collecting. Save for the Deborah Butterfield piece, and some nice new wood carvings by the pond. Still, this place is cool, and well worth a visit!

Wow, what a beautiful place! If you still haven't been to the Lynden Sculpture Garden, make plans to visit ASAP. It's free and such a perfect spot to appreciate nature and the arts. Great to visit with friends, family, or by yourself. Not too far from the Brown Deer exit off of I-43.

Spectacular gardens, trees, ponds, and sculptures. Continual collection additions. Great to visit multiple times during the year to gain perspective.

Peaceful spot for you to get your fill of trails and art simultaneously! The grounds are lovely and meticulously cared for. Visitors and all staff wore masks and enjoyed the garden while also socially distancing. The sculptures are displayed throughout the grounds. There may be a particular walking path to take or a guide map available. We just walked around stopping at anything that caught our interest. We walked for less than one mile from start to finish and looked at nearly every sculpture displayed outside. Most of the sculptures were a bit abstract for us. We didn't always know what we were looking at or what the art was supposed to evoke but we had fun and enjoyed being outside in the fresh air. There is a nice pond with a few benches by it. The Bonsai exhibit which is a temporary exhibit was a great treat! We learned a lot and enjoyed seeing a selection of Bonsai trees including one indigenous to Wisconsin. Also, the admission fee (typically $9 for non-member adults) was waived. We were told admission is being waived until the summer months to encourage folks to get outside and walk around in a safe, socially distanced space.

It's been quite some time since we've visited Lake Park, but I absolutely love it here! We were actually kicking ourselves that we don't come here more often to enjoy nature, as it really is beautiful in all seasons. There is no shortage of trails, short or long, that wind through the park and dip down into the ravines. This includes stairs and some rockier walk ways that lead out to the lakefront. If you prefer to stay on the flat road, you can enjoy the well-paved paths by foot or by bike. We had our stroller along and were able to push it throughout. You'll pass by a golf course, the fancy Lake Park Bistro restaurant, lawn bowling greens, statues, and even the infamous Milwaukee light house. Looking forward to the summertime in hopes that the weekly concert series returns to this park, in addition to the traveling beer garden. My son should be walking soon enough, so we'll no doubt return to let him run free and get some fresh air, while we enjoy views of the lake!

I like getting there early in the morning to see the sun rise over the lake. There's so much history to this location. I loved learning more from the Wisconsin Historical Society about how the park was designed and constructed. It's a really cool spot for everyone: runners, walkers, people with dogs or kids, everyone! Enjoy!
