I am looking for a CPA I haven't paid taxes yet this year. I reached out to her a few months ago and waited for a response. I was called a few weeks later by someone who knows nothing about taxes. I am assuming her assistant. So when I start asking questions he can not answer he puts her on the line. She gets flustered and is like I will have to call you back. Forget all the stereotypes you've heard about accountants. After finding her on Yelp I called and she walked me through the process. Carla is a very sweet woman that is easy to talk to. I recently started my own business and she gave me great recommendations to help set it up. I made an appointment with her to do my taxes. She told me to collect all my W2s and necessary forms. We met at her nice apartment and she was incredibly professional. After many delayed attempts at 2009 tax filing, I finally managed to buckle down and meet with Carla over a bundle of papers and wishful thinking! Carla was in personal state of back pain but kept the dreaded ordeal in a tidy one hour professional meet.. wrangling my small business finances as well as lassoing some unfortunate capital investment loss via my father... And clearly answering questions and advising about an audit from 2008 which my so called previous R G Bandits never even called me back on!!
