We hired a professional photographer for our ceremony and were unaware until we received our photos…read morethat Shawn (officiant) brought her teenage son, without asking, to photograph our entire ceremony for HER website. We've talked to her on numerous occasions prior to the ceremony and at no point in time did she mention bringing someone to take photos. In addition, It does not state in the contract that she is bringing someone to take photos. As a courtesy and a professional she should have asked us if we hired a photographer or videographer for our ceremony. We would have happily provided photos for her website. Her son is in the majority of our photos, holding his camera up in the background. They completely disregarded us and our photographer as if our special occasion was their ceremony. He stood in the front and center throughout the entire ceremony! He was not only a distraction to our photographer but also to our guests. We were later told by the photographer that she had to continually tell him to move so that she could do her job. After receiving our photos we contacted the officiant immediately, regarding her son's presence in our photos. Rather than apologize or offer a discount she became very defensive and blamed our photographer. Rather than ask us for photos she decided to disrespect us and our photographer to promote herself. She is very unprofessional, rude and selfish.
