The owner was very kind and helpful with the entire process. I read the review of the other client walking in with no plan to have a birthday party for his daughter and felt discouraged at first. This could not have been farther from the truth. He simply did not want to meet the financial obligation which is so minimal so he disappointed his daughter. Such a shame as we can say it was a great experience.

It was an hour drive to get there, but Lillie's Quilting Loft was by far and away the best quilting shop I've been to in the Central Florida area. Now I will grant you that, I'm a novice quilter and my mother, who has been quilting for years, may not be quite as impressed when I take her there, but I'm betting she will be. The store was bright and cheerful, the selection of yard goods both extensive and unique, pattern and quilting books by the dozens, completed items on display all over the place and staff that was the friendliest I've seen since I went to the Picket Fence in San Benito Texas--but that is just toooo far to drive for quilting supplies when you live in Central Florida. This store offers classes and their classroom area is also bright and cheerful with plenty of work room, unlike a lot I've seen where they are crammed into a back corner of the store. I spent a good hour in the store looking and asking questions of the clerk who was more than happy to answer all my questions, and offer me different less costly options if I was interested, but she didn't hover over me the entire time I was there, either. They have a class schedule available, and if I find someone else willing to go with me, I think I'll sign up and take a class for a series of weeks. Yes it's a far drive, but if it's a Saturday a.m. class, it's no problem, and it will be worth it. I gotta tell you, this is THE place to go if you are a quilter. For all of my out of state friends and family who quilt, bring your wallet when you come because this is one place you won't want to miss.

I had a wonderful experience at Hobby Lobby that turned into an unexpected life lesson for my…read moredaughter. My daughter and I visit often, but this time she went in first to pick up yarn for a project she's working on. I joined her about five minutes later, and of course, she had already gathered as many mini balls of yarn as she could & luckily, they were 30% off! After shopping, we headed to the checkout, and my daughter, who's 15 and learning how to manage her own money, wanted to pay for her items herself. Her total was around $120, but she accidentally handed the cashier $220. Without hesitation, the cashier kindly returned the extra $100, and my daughter hadn't even realized she overpaid. I was so impressed by the cashier's honesty and how calmly they handled the situation. It turned a simple shopping trip into a real-world lesson about responsibility, awareness, and integrity. I'm deeply grateful to that cashier for being so thoughtful and honest... it really made an impact. Thank you, Hobby Lobby, for hiring such amazing people.

With so many of them around I didn't realize that there was an actual large Beall's Department Store, similar to a Macy's, there is one in Kissimmee at the Loop. Well this particular store is just about the only big clothing store in St Cloud. The cool thing is that they have a little bit of everything and the items are reasonably priced. The have a rewards program that will get you 10% off of purchases in Friday's. They also offer a senior citizens discounts. You can also earn points toward coupons. The clothing seems to be of good quality most of the time. The set up is similar to a Ross or Marshall's, so be prepared to search for what you are looking for. However there are always good finds. I love their accessories and makeup sections. They usually have good prices on beauty sponges and brushes. Sometimes they have really good facial cleansers, masques, etc. It may be worth a visit if you are ever stuck living in St. Cloud like I am.
