We had not been to this store before and it's not along a major thoroughfare so if you aren't actively searching for it, you would likely never know it's there. This place is truly a find! After playing around i found something i recognized from one of my many previous jobs! A train cabin key! Bro these are pricey in online antique forms. I got it for $3.25. I already came up with ways to use it. Both film and i been researching clockwork builds. I love that art form so much. Its heavy on the math and physics. Cant wait to start! I saw something new they had on display. They had a couple of black lights show casing "Sugar glass" the antique glass reacts to the black lights and shine very brightly. If u like unique collections n decor? This would be a great way to collect old glass ware and just display for parties. Or for streamers with cyber punk notes. Kid you not the glass almost looks like a digital vector. Although i played with alot if things? I was happy with the key. I saw something that we both wanted but we dont have room for it. On our way out of the other store someone else bought it. It is the name of the game. The gentleman looked very happy. It was a one of those old school record players built into a table. At first glance, parking looks completely stupid. It looks as though there are only two parking spots, frequently taken by the employees. This isn't actually the case, though. But we didn't figure that out until months later. Had we figured it out sooner, we'd have been there more often. Now that we know, we will do just that. There's actually a shared lot to the south of the building; it's easy to miss so keep your eyes open! This is no ordinary thrift shop. They've got the coolest, most iconic goodies from eras past. Being an 80s kid, this little shop is packed full of delights I recognize from those days. Toys, old cameras, collectibles, footwear, memorabilia.... they've even managed to stuff an old VW Beetle inside. Rad. Oh and the vintage clothing! Good gravy, it's everywhere! It's perfect for us, as cosplayers. We've found so many pieces for our cosplays here that we couldn't find anywhere else at way better prices than ordering online. Love this shop! My story: I downsized....then I downsized....then I downsized... I met a woman at one of my yard sales who was buying for this thrift store. So we (me and my friends / family at yard sale) filled up her van! That was a few months ago. Then 3 weeks ago I called the store and asked if they could pick up some things. They did - they showed up yesterday with a box van and I did a very good job of almost filling it up! The pick up men were incredibly sweet, nice, respectful and profusely thanked me for the donation. I told my 82 year old mother about it and she was beaming! I could have had another yard sale and maybe got some $ - but I feel much better about donating to them. They are doing an awesome job of helping others! They will continue to receive my donations as long as I live in Lake Wales!

It is located in a…read morehistoric art deco building that Publix founder George Jenkins opened on November 8, 1940 as the first modern Publix. There are pictures of how the Publix looked in 1940 on the wall opposite the checkout. Proceeds from the sale of items benefits the parish ministries which give food to the hungry, shelter to the homeless, and clothing and financial assistance to those in need. All items are donated to the church and then sold in the store. i was really surprised how large this store is. There were multiple rooms of home goods, books, sports equipment, art, small electronics, holiday decorations, and clothing. They even had wedding dresses. I especially loved the vintage room as soon as you enter where I found the Pyrex casserole dishes I adore. Also in the front of the store is a religious section with new items.
