Not only did I get a basement that didn't flood with water, I received gutter cleaning and extension to ensure that it wouldn't happen again when other companies were trying to charge double the cost without fixing the outlying issue. Then no sooner than we had fixed that issue they came back with more assistance for jobs. Helping with replacing locks and adding a new door to help with heat retention. Now we have a lineup for some yard work and I couldn't be happier. All other work was performed by Gene and his son. He is fully licensed and insured and provided documentation. Answered all of our questions before and durning the work project. Always listened to what we were thinking about the materials being selected and offered critical and much appreciated advice/insight and suggestions to consider. Throughout the project he kept us informed what work was accomplished that day and what work would be done the following day(s). We could not be happier with the total project outcome. Ahead of time, he explained in detail how they'd need to dig a deep trench and start the base of the wall several feet underground. The concrete would have a lattice of rebar in it and... it was more than I could understand but it sounded extremely thorough and strong. The crew did an excellent job on the wall and taking care of the surrounding property. There is a small brick wall near the big wall that was also in disrepair -- as part of their clean up, they actually ended up putting the brick wall back together better than it was before. They got to work within a couple of weeks of signing the paperwork (given how most contractors these days are slow, this was very impressive) and the work was done on schedule. Not only was the price very fair, it was also apparent that Tom knew what he was doing and wanted to ensure the job was done right. We had a tricky driveway that had issues with water pooling in areas, uneven asphalt and ugly blocks along the edge of the drive. Tom clearly explained what he wanted to do to help relieve our issues. Tom and his crew came when promised and were exceptionally polite and hard working.
