Down one from when I moved to Phx…read more Back when I was a wee bacon bit, we thought Lyons was Ohio's version of the TV show "Eerie, Indiana". We had Elvis operating the local pizza joint, that burnt down and is now the location of a gas station. We also had a guy who looked like Jesus pulling a wagon outside town on US 20. It was awesome! As an adult, I can appreciate the quirkiness of this quaint little village. Like when the blinking caution light was upgraded to a stop light. And when the water tower froze over one winter and school was cancelled (super fun day!). There was also the sadness of returning to find my former elementary school had been razed after sitting vacant for some time. (Whatever happened to Joey Lako's memorial tree?) While I can't say I'd move back to Lyons or anywhere else in NWOh, I must say it truly is a terrific place to grown up. I'm living proof. [That doesn't sound like such a great endorsement, now that I've typed it.]

The…read morechurch was in a strip mall, so it looked small and non-descript but once you go inside there is a nice ambiance to the room and the people were really chill. The message was good and the music was solid too. One thing I especially liked was that the volume was not overbearing and everyone was really into the worship. Overall a great experience and I highly recommend this church.

The community one class with adults covers books from the bible and has 4 really good teachers. This class starts at 9:00 am.

We would not want to be any other place on Sunday. It is a blessing to both of us. Our former church stopped feeding us. We searched high and wide for an improvement and found it here. Lockwood is a Bible church. Pastor Shayne is articulate, knowledgeable, and thorough in his presentation of the Word with the Lords help.The church has a wonderful and active youth group which draws on young people from around the County. Lockwood feeds the flock. We are involved in Sunday school and and small group activities. The church is highly involved in missions work and sponsor many missionaries.
