Pricey but velvety chocolate and you always get to sample a bit of this luxury. They sell a lot of chocolate brittle type things, as well as gift boxes with truffles and other items. For the holidays they usually have some special chocolates like bunny shaped chocolate for Easter. The prices are a bit much though and wouldn't be able to buy this on the regular. read more

They have sheets of chocolate, where they break it up and give you samples -quite nice, though note what has nuts. Delicious samples both when you walk into the store, but you can also ask for a sample at the counter. Because they're breaking the chocolate sheets, though, nut-laden sheets are right beside non-nut versions, so beware of cross-contamination. They'll change gloves, but given the breaking of the sheets, little shards could be anywhere. read more

Delicious! Definitely visit this shop at the Woodbury Outlets. I went on a really cold day, and I got myself some chocolates from here. They were amazing! They have boxes of bonbons, or you can get them by the pound by choosing what you want. They were so good! They had hazelnuts and were so creamy! I wish I had gotten more. read more

Came by here to get some fancy chocolate and I got way more then that. The staff was friendly and after offered a simple I was sold on buying some. I got strawberry white chocolate bark and raspberry blueberry white chocolate bark along with a box of mini chocolates. First both barks were so rich and the chocolate itself tasted so pure, like made from only the finest in the world. Plus as for dried fruits in both were very evenly deposited though out. The box of mini chocolates, man I can say I never had Chocolates that amazing since a school trip to the CIA, really top class here. Definitely will try the other barks here. read more

Honestly I'm truly appalled by the level of service and professionalism here. I've been to the midtown location multiple times and never had any trouble with the staff there but when I stopped by this outpost after a day of shopping for a little treat, not only was I ignored but I was treated very differently from the other patrons in the store. For one, not a single staff member greeted me or asked me if I needed help even though there were at least two people behind the counter not assisting anyone else at the moment. They all seemed pretty focused on another customer whom I'm assuming made a big purchase judging by the way the staff was fawning over them. In fact, when I finally was able to flag someone down to help answer my question before I decided on which chocolate to purchase, they literally interrupted me in order to thank the customer and wish them a good day (when I left the store, I was not thanked or wished a good day afterwards either). The difference in level of enthusiasm they showed towards the big spender customer compared to me felt like night and day. Furthermore, I noticed when I walked in the store, a staff member had been giving out free samples of their hazelnut chocolate but hid them away when my family and I entered and only brought them out again when I walked up to the counter to order something. They also had another tray of samples they were hiding behind the counter, this one had flecks of red so maybe it's their raspberry chocolate one. I wouldn't know because I was not offered anything. I believe it's $13 for 1/4lb of their FrischSchoggi chocolate bark, any flavor. That's about the size of maybe a large postcard and it's great for breaking apart into little chunks for sharing or just to be enjoyed by yourself. I do enjoy Läderach chocolate as it is great quality but it's not worth the frustration or humiliation of being treated less-than at this outpost. Avoid at all costs. read more

I just spent $200 on chocolate worse than Hershey. I asked for a transparent bag for easy consumption. They refused to give one extra because "the manager prohibited". Really??? I was supposed to get a cooler bag but it wasn't available. Next time I go to Hershey and stay at their lodge. I will definitely stay away from these overpriced cocoa. read more

I always have such a great experience visiting this location. The staff members are always so friendly and welcoming. On the weekends the sometimes even greet you at the door with samples of chocolate. The staff is very knowledgeable especially if you have any dietary restrictions or are vegan like me! Before they started labeling their vegan products the Store Manager Tara and Assistant Manger Nelson went as far as reaching out to the company to find out what option were available for me. Since they they are promoting their vegan lines and even have a rake dedicated for us vegans! Be sure to ask for a sample but I don't think you will be disappointed with any you try. My favorites are definitely the Dark Chocolate Almond Orange & the Dark Chocolate Hazelnut (seasonal). They recently released a Cashew Milk Chocolate which is a phenomenal alternative to traditional Milk Chocolate and it's vegan. They also just released the Cashew Milk Chocolate covered Popcorn which is soooo yummy! As of a few weeks ago they now are Kosher Certified for some of their products as well! read more

Nice spot to stop in for a quick treat when you're shopping at Woodbury Commons. However, I'm not happy with the staff, lack of consideration, when it comes to being sanitary. They get no points for handling money & chocolate bar with dirty disposable gloves. The same gloves they use to handle cash are the same gloves they use to break off a chocolate bar for their customers. Not cool! read more

Very unpleasant staff at this Laderach location compared to others. I've been to two other stores prior to this and have always been met with very friendly and helpful employees. Laderach's hazelnut milk chocolate is my favorite chocolate and I always buy some when I see a store despite the expensive price -- it's that good. There's actually two locations closer to me but I was out at Woodbury Commons for a shopping trip I was pleasantly surprised to find a Laderach store. My experience here, however, was far from pleasant. When I came in with my family there weren't any customers aside from someone paying at the register. I was standing nearby the counter so I could order and waited. There were three workers in the store, two were actually busy either attending to the customer paying or preparing chocolate, and one was just standing there next to the counter obviously uninterested in helping us. I figured the worker at the register would just help us once they were done with the previous customer. We waited a while until the worker who was just standing there, Patricia, finally went to us and asked if we needed help. I said yes and asked if I could get the Hazelnut milk chocolate and instead of just asking me to repeat myself she rudely told me to "speak up". Mind you I wasn't mumbling or speaking softly, I was speaking clearly and louder since I was aware of the glass between us. I thought okay, maybe she is hard of hearing but I did think it was strange for her to speak to me in that way. I also feel maybe she assumed I didn't speak any English either because I am Asian and there are a lot of foreigners who visit the outlets. If that's so then I hope Laderach teaches their employees cultural sensitivity. Then when I went to pay and had my card out she paused for a moment and looked at me with a judgemental look on her face for who knows what reason. I thought it was odd but then I ignored it once again, glad I'm getting my chocolate. While paying, I was waiting for the card terminal to prompt me to tap/insert she told me "do something with it" as if I was stupid and didn't know how to use one. I wanted to tell her that I was waiting for the terminal to say something but I decided against it. Once again the way she was speaking to me was rude, but I ignored her and paid, said thank you and left. It was when I was leaving when my boyfriend mentioned how rude she was speaking to me. I thought I was the only one who felt uncomfortable with this interaction. I'm not exactly sure what I could have done to be treated this way, I came in respectfully and waited patiently despite being the only customer not greeted when I came in. This experience left a very bitter taste in my mouth. If Patricia (an older lady) tries to help you, ask for a different person to help you. She definitely has some sort of bias, otherwise she just has a horrible way of speaking to others. I don't suggest this location despite how good the chocolate is. The only reason why I continued to purchase here was because I love this chocolate but I definitely won't be purchasing here again and do not recommend others to go here. If I'm paying that much for chocolate I would hope I'd be treated a little better than what I went through with Patricia. There are much better locations with better customer service. read more

I spent $60 which is about the starting price for their gift boxes but when I asked the sales person what makes laderach so special, all he could say was..."its Swiss" Then I asked what's the difference between another Swiss choc company? he was offended and just said, I used to work for them and Laderach is a much better quality but could not offer anything definitive. When I spend this much money on a box of candy I would hope that the staff would know what makes their candy SO much better and should be able to articulate it. There were three equally aloof salesmen working that day, each about as helpful and informative and the one I noted. Perhaps it's a lack of training by Laderach? or just a bad batch of employees. Laderach should understand that Woodbury is full of high end shop, so they are not so special, so really no need to be rude and your employees should know about the product they are selling. read more
