$10.99 for a paper thin tuna sub. And it definitely wasn't solid white tuna. I'm sure it's the cheapest sandwich on their menu to make. I have been finding all of their sandwiches I've been pretty thin while all of their prices have gone up. At least the other delis if the price is one up, there's always a decent amount of meat on the sandwiches. I basically paid for bread. Adams is probably my favorite store for produce and meats but I will not be purchasing sandwiches here ever again. read more

The hot food bar needs a complete overhaul. The food does not look appetizing. Rice has no salt. Most of the food looks like no effort or care was taken in making it. Today, there was a tray of carrots that looked old and all cracked. I just ended up getting a salad. The hot food bar in Wappingers is so much better. Food is really good and fresh. I love this supermarket! The produce is always fresh. Love the store made granola--tried the apple cinnamon and it was the best granola I've ever had. Dried fresh apple pieces is what made the difference. I love the organic and vegan food selections available here, they seem to have more to select from compared to the area supermarkets. I also love how big this place is, the gardening and pet needs sections have so much to offer. Highly recommend a trip here. It is a bit more expensive but worth every penny. read more

5 Stars for a great store, 1 star for handicap access. Unfortunately, Adam's makes it difficult to shop here for those with mobility issues. They are lovely stores with beautiful produce, many things you can't find elsewhere. A full bakery, flower shop, butcher shop, and plants--- You couldn't ask for anything more-- other than leaving carts within the corrals for people who are mobility impaired. Even though I have a handicapped parking permit, I park in the back near the cart corrals because I cannot walk without aid. I was told that they have to leave the corrals empty, which now means I will no longer be able to shop here, which is a pity because I love the store. read more

I actually look forward to coming here, Primarily because they have an awesome Nursey which I adore, each time I step foot into it, I just want to buy every plant and flower, Not to mention (Ashely and Martha) ( don't remember their names. Sorry!! ) they are extremely helpful with questions you have and also if you need help to re-pot your plants. A++ they are there to assist. Thank you. Their produce, meats, and bakery section are also an A++. This is the only other place I know of to get really good fish. The bakery is always a hit I get all my cakes from them I don't have anything bad to say. For $1.50 you can get a large pecan chocolate chip cookie the size of my head. Their hot & cold salad bar always looks delicious, organized and clean- although I can hear their wings calling my name every time I walk past it. I have been there before and always liked this place. We were headed for lunch and stopped in to kill time. Could not get past the hot food bars with the amazing assortment and great smells. For $9.99 lb you can get anything you want and its all fresh. I had corned beef and cabbage and had a hard time deciding on that or so many more things. It was the leanest, tenderest cut I have had in a long time. It was amazing. We were headed to longhorn for lunch, easy 40-60 dollars. Filled up ourselves for $18.00. The other depts are also amazing. Great butcher and meat dept, great baking section, Fresh fish counter. I am impressed and amazed. I spent the day in the area and stopped by this supermarket after reading all the rave reviews on YELP. I didn't want to do the apple picking thing because I didn't want or need a bag full of apples. This supermarket reminded me of Whole Foods/Fairway with a small touch of Trader Joes= $$$$$. I took my time and strolled the aisles looking at all the cool local items and brands I never heard of before. My first time seeing purple potatoes and I bought a few. They had a huge variety of apples and I bought a few of the ones I don't see in my hood. I saw a different variety of local sodas. For you seafood lovers, they have a nice sized seafood selection. Local preserves, maple syrup were plentiful in all sizes ranging from expensive to very expensive. LOL. They had a very nice selection of hot food that I didn't buy since it was very early in the morning. Ooh, there were so many yummy looking local desserts. I purchased some flavor cider donuts that were delicious. Staff were very friendly and the place was very clean and well maintained. My favorite grocery store I have ever been to. For normal shopping it's a bit more pricey compared to the big chains but it really is a one stop shop especially for special occasions. The bakery and other stations are elite and don't get me started on the sweets department and garden center. Everyone who works there is like a pro at what they do. Family night around the prepared foods seems like someone else's family. As the store closed at eight often times sometime after six the trays slowly start disappearing, never to return. Ask an employee and hey, they want to go home. Hey, I want to not cook after grocery shopping, I feel super unwelcome! The Pizza and ice-cream people are the complete opposite of that. I went here before the pandemic and loved it. Made my first visit post-pandemic on April 21 and there has been a definite decline. The staff are as friendly as ever. The prices are good but the prepared foods are not as tasty. I had the clam chowder - tasty broth, tons of potatoes, very few clams; blueberry muffin very dry; wings - also dry; onion rings - oily and flavorless. When next in the area I will try once more ... this time the deli, because in principle, this is a locally owned grocery store that has a wide array of goods and fills a need and I should support them. I love Adam's!!! I have been here many times, but I believe I'm going to make a weekly trip and get my fruit and vegetables here from now on because they are mostly all super fresh and a tiny bit cheaper then the local grocery store. We even picked up some fresh looking meat as well. The other aisles that had like milk, cheese, yogurt, chips, etc was definitely over priced!! They wanted $7 for a square of mozzarella cheese... I will say I will stick to my local grocery store for those types of things. I have not tried any of Adam's baked goods yet in all the years I've been going to Adam's but i'll have to try next time and will update this review after I try some things. Great local produce, fresh and very reasonably priced. I buy 95% of my produce there. Still always check it as occasionally an item can be sub par. In 8 years if buying there I only had two bad items; 1 pkg of celery a bad cantaloupe. Bakery is very good too, esp breads, pies & danish. The meat department us exceptional. they have good quality and reasonable prices. Watch fir their specials - always quite worthwhile. they will also cut meat to order on request. I like very thin sliced beef & pork for Braciole and if its not in display, they will cut it for you. Also, they have very good chicken. they also have small packages of chicken like 1 breast. I cook for two and it is nice to be able to buy small portions. The salad bar is excellent (back between bakery & meat depts) and the prepared food & soups (in front next to deli area) has a wide variety (store made) prepared food and buffet style hot food. The deli also takes text orders for sandwiches and deli items. Deli text: 845-678-3319. The only dept I have NOT been happy with is the fish / seafood dept. quality is very variable. Not always very fresh. Even had mediocre frozen lobster tails. However, I shop there every week in other department's. Also, a big one, Customer service & satisfaction is HUGE in this store. with the few problems I have had, they ALWAYS make it right. read more

Stopped here from a friend's suggestion who lived closely. We mainly came here to check out the plants and boy did they have a good variety. The greenhouse was nicely stocked with pothos, monstera, RT, snake plants, philodendrons, begonias, succulents , fiddle leaf fig, palm, bonsai and vegetable and herb plants. Great spot to look for some plants for yourself or even to give for an occasion. There are a lot of TC pots and other type of pots of many sizes there. We did take a quick walk on the inside and there were a good number of people shopping. Lots of fresh fruit and veggies. It's a nice stop to shop for plants, and go grocery shopping. read more

Adams is one of my favorite local supermarkets. They have a beautiful selection of flowers and plants, and there are many groceries and products here that you can't find elsewhere. The produce is always fresh too. Adams also has a kitchen where a variety of hot, delicious and "home-cooked" foods are prepared. Awesome self serve option where you can pop in for a quick home cooked meal when you're just too tired to do it yourself. Adams also has a gifts and sweets department, where you can find pretty gift baskets and delicious treats to enjoy or gift to someone else. And then there is a garden center, with tools, furniture and so much more. The only negative thing I can say is that some of the items are overpriced and I can usually find them somewhere else cheaper. read more

Absolutely gorgeous and well-stocked supermarket in the middle of NY thruway! We stopped here while headed upstate for some groceries, and there are huge sections in the store-- they even have a greenhouse for plants, a whole section for decor, a staffed candy section (I never thought I'd say that) and some of the freshest produce I've seen. They are also fairly equipped for COVID-19 precautions. People aren't always mindful of the one-way aisles, but it is REQUIRED to wear a mask indoors and to have social distancing. It is fairly crowded and pricey but the produce comes from local farms, the public bathrooms are clean, and there's a salad bar and fresh food for you to eat on your merry way!
