The star of the show were the potatoes. Potatoes mashed right in front of you with sour cream and cheese. We could have added even more toppings, but that's all my wife wanted. It was absolutely amazing and perfect. As I write this review, I'm regretting not going back here for round two before we left. The reason I compared it to Auntie Anne's despite having vastly different pretzels is because it was in a small kiosk in the train station, and looked like the kind of place that would be anywhere that kiosks exist. This was the first place we visited after getting to Munich, so we had a bit of culture shock when realizing that not everyone who worked here spoke English. There was one person behind the counter who did, and she was very friendly/helpful!

Pretzel obatzda (€3.20 = $3.45 USD) - obatzda has a cream consistency with a robust taste similar to a mild cheddar. Pretzel butter (€2 = $2.15 USD) - rich, creamy and buttery, this was my favorite. Overall, this is an extremely reasonably priced snack and I found the pretzels here to be the best that I tried on my German trip. Service was friendly and there isn't any seating, only 2 standing communal tables.

The servers are dressed in traditional German clothes which is a very cool touch. Everyone I spoke to also spoke English. I ordered the schnitzel and whichever beer they recommended with it. The service at Haufbrauhaus was terrible. I ordered a seasonal beer and it was fantastic and the outside seating was wonderful on a perfect day. Our server was awesome and spoke perfect english. I ordered the charcuterie board and it had a couple of hummus scoops and a beef stick and this scoop of stuff that was way too rich for me with pieces of butter in it, but the Germans love it. The pretzels that came with it were great and the cream cheese scoop went perfectly on the pretzel. One of the best meals in Munich, give it a try.
