Enjoyed their soft, not-overly-salted, German, warm pretzel. Beecher's cheese sauce that it comes with was tasty with the pretzel but really enjoyed the condiment bar. Primarily for bratwurst orders, the apple cider sauerkraut, pickled jalapeños, sweet relish, and 10+ different sauces were fun to try and delicious. It was my first time visiting Leavenworth, and trying a bratwurst was high on my list. There are plenty of places to choose from, but I decided on Muchen House after seeing its strong Yelp reviews. I ordered the Big Boy Bratwurst. The bratwurst itself was flavorful and juicy. One of the highlights was the condiment bar, which featured about 20 different types of mustard and sauces, including sauerkraut. I topped mine with sauerkraut, mayo, onions, sweet relish, garlic aioli, and four different mustards: Chipotle, Dirty Face Amber, Sweet & Hot, and Smoky Garlic & Onion. I put a different mustard on each quarter of the bratwurst so I could sample a variety of flavors. I enjoyed all of them, although, to be honest, many of the mustards tasted fairly similar to me. The sandwich was $10.65 before tax, which felt very reasonable for a popular tourist destination. I don't know if I'll ever make it back to Leavenworth, so I'm glad I had the chance to try it. We went early on a Saturday and there was already a line to order. You placed your order and then could go in and get a seat. The line did move fast. It is outdoor seating but there is shade and two levels to find seating. Lots of benches to share. The service was good. I loved that there was a gluten free bun option and it was good. This place is so fun! We got in the long line and it did not disappoint. There was a QR code in the line that you can scan and quickly look over the menu. We decided to order the Big Bob and the Han's Jalapeño and cheddar along with a bowl of Chilli de Carne. We were then guided to the seating area where we shared the large table with another couple. Not long, our food was ready and I went to pick it up. At the condiment stand, there was a lot of sauces for the brats. I put what I thought was tasty on the brats and bought it back to the table to share with my husband. The Big Bob goes well with the Chili. I would definitely recommend those combinations. read more

This was our first Leavenworth meal. It was the one place my boyfriend wanted to try, so we waited in line. There was someone handing out menus while we were waited our turn. You order at the window & are given a buzzer once your food ready. There is a variety condiments for you to try on your food. You have the option to do add ons on the bratwurst. We liked the caramelized onions but there's option to add on beechers cheese, cream cheese, or chili. The condiment section is insane. There's 20 sauces and over 10 kinds of mustards to try from. We loved the garlic aioli and smoky garlic/onion mustards! But so hard to pick a favorite out of them. Honestly, this place feels way overrated. We stood in line for over 30 minutes under the blazing sun (about 90°F) only to then scramble for seats inside. Sitting outside was impossible - every table and bench was scorching hot. We went for the classic Kielbasa, which turned out to be nothing more than a regular hot dog for $10 - and unfortunately, nothing close to an authentic Polish dish. If I'm paying that much for a hot dog, I expect at least some resemblance to the real thing. The potatoes were very much hit-or-miss - I personally didn't enjoy them. The beer, however, was excellent - easily the highlight of the visit. If you're here just for a drink, it might be worth a stop. But honestly, in Leavenworth you can find plenty of other spots that serve a full, hearty meal for the same price (and without the endless line). read more

We arrived from the back alley, but the main entrance is at the front of the main street. The line was a little long, but quick. There's a decent amount of seating with mist spraying on the hot day we were there. We ordered the big Bob bratwurst and Helga's giant kelbassi. Since the kelbassi was so thick, the bun split open, and my toppings were coming out. It's probably easier to eat the kelbassi with utensils. Other than that, the kelbassi is one I'd eat again. I didn't like the flavor of the bratwurst, but I usually don't prefer bratwurst anyway. It was nice that there's 2 stations with the different mustards to choose from. I tried multiple on mine, but it was hard to tell what was what once I put them on, and I could only really taste one kind. read more

My favorite beer hall in Leavenworth!!!! It is very popular so the line for food can stretch up the street most afternoons. If you are interested in just the beer garden, you are able to skip the line and go directly in to the bar top to order. The pricing is a bit steep to be honest but I enjoyed the vibes so we came back twice while we were in Leavenworth. They have a pretty good pretzel and brat but nothing beats their mustard selection. The space is pretty small so we did have to share a table with some folks one of the times we were there which was no problem to us (but we got there after and asked to join people and they seemed not as enthusiastic to share the space). During a recent visit to Leavenworth, my wife and I stopped by München Haus for lunch. Although there was a bit of a line when we arrived around noon, the line moves very quickly. I ordered the Italian chicken sausage while my wife got "Helga's Giant Kelbassi". The sausages come ungarnished -- which sounds unappealing at first, but that's actually the best part. The self-serve condiment station across from where you pick-up your food is extensive. There are 14 specialty mustards, different types of relish, BBQ sauce, mustard, mayo, sliced jalapeños, house-made apple cider sauerkraut, and more. You'll definitely want to order one of their Bavarian pretzels as well so you have enough carbs to dip into the wide spread of sauces. My personal favorite was the curry mustard, while my friend's was the dill flavored mustard. The punchy dill flavor is strong, but compliments the tangy flavor of the mustard really nicely. My second and third favorite mustards -- close behind the curry flavor, were the Champagne and sweet and hot. The seating situation seems a bit hectic at first -- since it's all self-seating, but folks here seemed really friendly and open to sharing a table. If you don't see any seating in the front, nor the beer garden downstairs, don't forget there's a whole upstair section that's available as well. If you're ever in Leavenworth, I can't recommend München Haus enough. The sausages are well-made, but the real star of the show is the self-serve condiment station. read more

If you are gluten free, this place is for you. They have a celiac friendly bun and way to cook the sausages where I did NOT get sick. They even had a menu with all the ingredients to all items, so I could review the sauces to put on my food. They had many gluten free alcoholic and non alcoholic options. My husband, who is not gluten free, also really enjoyed the food too. They had lots of fun beers on tap too. The outdoor eating area was great as well.
