Faulty product and poor customer service: I bought 6 motorized blinds here and 2 broke after one year of light use, and they refused to help repair under warranty and asked for a fee. They also wouldn't explain what broke and claimed user error such as water damage despite the blinds being in a dry safe environment with almost no use. I'd expect for the price, they would help me understand what broke, as I couldn't trust paying for their repairs as it could just break again. It seems that connecting any battery wand to the custom sized larger blind instantly shorts the battery wand, making it impossible to use. Per M&A, this is user error, even though they assured me the custom blind size was fully supported. They aren't standing behind that, and there is apparently no way to fix my blinds purchased from M&A. For the price, you can certainly do better. Otherwise you may end up with permanently non functional blinds. read more

Technician has come back for a short visit to do touch ups within a few days of request 2x without any begging necessary. Pricing for drapes just under their local competitors (SS) with many more options, Ayash was knowledgeable about styles and gave unpretentious advice on similar styles to what I picked out and different track options that would not break the budget- no pressure or trying to upsell. They sell Hunter Douglas blinds exclusively which are very expensive for blinds but have lifetime guarantee so that's what you're paying for. Would recommend! read more

Ayash gave me a reasonable estimate for shutters, they look good, and were ready to install in a fairly reasonable timeline after ordering. My issue comes in with the installation of the shutters. I had double sets for a kitchen window, bifolds for top and bottom for two living room windows, and two sets top and bottom for two bedroom windows. The two guys who came to install them came on time and got to work, letting me know I could leave if I wanted to while they worked. Ha, nice try. After only a couple months of experience with contractors and other laborers in my home in Brooklyn, I know better than to leave quality control to these guys. I stayed and did my own job from home, but out of their way. I did not hound them or breathe down their necks, I gave them room and time enough to do the job, but predictably by the end we had a total mess with the caulking they did around the frames of the shutters. Caulking was necessary to fill the gaps between the frames of the shutters and the window frames, and for some reason that is beyond my comprehension, they caulked it so that the material was not only between the shutter frame and the window frame, but ON the window frame, all over it really. It was on the walls a few inches beyond the window frame, it was on the window sill, it was bubbly and extremely noticeable in the area where the caulk was actually supposed to be, and it was on the shutters too. I pointed this out and the younger man who was accompanying the older man who did all the actual work just said something along the lines of leave it there and let it dry, then peel it off later. I replied there's no reason to let caulk dry on the shutters, the brand new shutters they just installed. He had nothing to say to that, probably because there is nothing to say, there's only something to do, and that something is CLEANING the caulk OFF the shutters I just paid you thousands of dollars to deliver and install. The older man, with some resignation, tried to clean up the caulk after I pointed out all these flaws in its application. Get this: he asked ME if I had any paper towels. I had four rolls, so he used almost all of the paper towels. I'm sorry, so now not only am I part of the crew here on quality control, but I'm supplying the workers with materials myself? Unbelievable. I kept pointing out spots and they insisted the thing to do was let it dry and peel it off later. They VERY kindly left me a bottle of caulk, but no applicator to actually apply it with as I later realized, and acted like they were really doing me a favor leaving this. Really? Finish the job myself? Cool, thanks. Fast forward to the next day, they said leave it alone for 24 hours and then peel off. Funny, because dried, hardened caulk DOES NOT PEEL OFF OF YOUR PAINTED WALLS AND WINDOW FRAME. You have to scrap that off, for hours. And then spend another hour vacuuming up all your freshly peeled and scraped caulk. I've aded photos of what it looked like before and after I cleaned it up, which, as you will see, only helped so much. Sanding the walls and window frame isn't even taking off the dried caulk. I have another day of sanding and repainting to look forward to now. The instructions on the bottle of caulk they left me even contradict the very advice these workers gave me. Amateurs, what a shit show. M&A doesn't even manufacture their product, they're ordering it out, so any quality that exists here I can't credit to them, hence the low rating. read more

M&A came in at a much better price than the vendors the building recommended and I am very happy with the quality and the system that was installed.
