His staff are gentle and courteous and he is friendly and down-to-earth. When I moved to Boston I tried three other dentists and was disappointed every time. They cost too much, hurt my teeth and gums during routine cleanings, or once even tried to convince me I needed a root canal when I was totally asymptomatic. Having had healthy teeth my whole life, I called Dr. Mach's office back home in Woodridge for advice. He offered a second opinion basically free of charge, looked at my x-rays, even examined the tooth in question, and told me I didn't need the procedure. He then gave me the name of one of his colleagues from dental school who was practicing in Cambridge. This guy ended up being great too, so it just reinforced my trust in Dr. Mach. If your family needs a dentist, this is your guy. I travel from the city just to get my teeth cleaned because his staff is the best.

I've been ripped off before and see a huge difference here. They are not financially motivated. They genuinely care about their patients and always makes sure I'm taken care of. RJ really helped my mother in law with her dentures and he has tools to fix them the same day so she didnt need to go without them. That made a big difference because she had other pressing health issues and not having her teeth for any period of time would have not been good. She had dementia and he was so good with her! Rosanne has saved multiple teeth on me and didnt charge nearly what other dentists have. I love them and HIGHLY recommend them!

What was not shared was that we were out of network resulting in an additional $900 out of pocket expense. I was always a little "paranoid" of dentists, but Dr. Romano is very comfortable and easy to talk to. He and his assistant are always joking and making the atmosphere lighter. I've had to had wisdom teeth removed, multiple cavities filled and one bridge done and I never had a single problem. I definitely recommend him (and have actually referred multiple people to him - all of which are still patients) to anyone. Also - my five year old son also came to Dr. Romano for his kindergarten checkup. Dr. Romano was AMAZING at making him feel comfortable - he even let him brush his own teeth because he was afraid of the brush! We left very, very happy.
