I moved to Guelph from Montreal Quebec in 2014 and needed a Laundromat. Guelph does not have many laundromats so it was easy to identify M&M Laundromat from the other Laundromat businesses in Guelph within a few weeks. I have been a customer ever since. I was attracted to M&M due to the cleanliness of the premisis, modern and well maintained equipment, they open at 7:30 (earliest opening in Guelph), open every day of the year except Christmas (God Bless), and most importantly, the hands on presence of the owners to ensure that your time and experience at the M&M Laundromat is pleasant and productive. Unacceptable, crazy acting out by this big, hostile and intimidating man, this time directed at a small kid (?!!) who was doing nothing harmful, just helping to put some clothes into dryer- in a very respectful and proper way as any adult would. Forced to leave with loads of wet clothes. Little kid who loved helping with laundry is now preoccupied with worry over the incident with this individual. Shame on him. These people are up your butt about EVERYTHING. I literally just dropped $50 washing my stuff here because my @ home machine is in for repair. Terrible, terrible service from these people. If their stuff in the store isnt expired, they're botching at you about using the atm that is apparently for laundromat customers only. Have gone back multiple times to complain about expired products and they just say no refunds or exchanges. Horrible customer service, not to mention their washing machines and dryers will literally rip your clothes As someone who is nearby, I was relying on these people for convenience. I have been coming to M&M Laundromat in Guelph for 3 years and I've never had a problem with the owners. They are both helpful and very caring. There prices are lower and the laundromat is clean. If you need a few grocery items they have those as well. Give them a try and you will continue to do your laundry there. read more

The last time I went to do laundry the change machine ate a piece of my $20 bill. It was just a small bit off the edge and the staff was busy and have known me for 3 years so I didn't stress about it that day and I tried to change it next time I was doing laundry. I immediately got screamed at about how I must have been jamming the machine and now I would have to pay to fix it. The owners wife came out and called me a liar. I told them they were being rude and I'd just take change for dimes I had. They continued to be rude and I told them off. They then made me take wet loads of laundry out all at once and told me if I didn't take it at once they'd throw my things on the street. These people are incredibly rude, I've seen them scream at customers one a number of occasions, the only reason I use this laundromat is because it's close to home. I don't know why I've accepted being yelled at by them more than once but I'd suggest no one uses this laundromat or else risk being abused by people who clearly don't want their business to do well. This is all over a slightly ripped $20 bill they could have taken to the bank but I couldn't use in their old defective change machine. I spend money here constantly. I was there this evening and I was scratching one of the tickets I purchased ( I spent 25$ total in the store ) when someone came in and wanted a 2$ ticket but apparently I was "in the way " I spend nearly 20-30 bucks daily at this store as it's right beside my house. I was then bitched at for standing there and that apparently she almost lost her 2$ business compared to my 30$ . Put in a lottery booth for people to scratch there tickets. This guys money was more important then mine I guess. They just lost my everyday business and I'll be taking it elsewhere. They know who I am as my family shops there regularly. read more

It's not possible to give a lower rating. I've used this laundromat for almost 5 years and in that time I've seen many outbursts of mentally unstable behaviour from the owner. It's obvious when you speak to him, something is going on there. Today, it was my turn. I've had other issues with machines, mostly staining my clothes, but for proximity I've used this place a lot. Until today, which permanently changed everything. In the empty laundromat, after I had entered, wearing foggy goggles because of the COVID-19 virus-- the owner stormed in after me and drove me away from the change machine because he literally charged at me, not allowing any kind of physical distancing; shouting at me the entire time. Not wearing a mask and towering over me yelling. He would not stop shouting at me. He accused me of using his change machine before I had put my laundry in the machines. He kept shouting about his sign which I could not read. As I've said, I've witnessed his hostility too numerous times and after a quick search; I believe there are plenty of Google reviews that echo this same experience. In these times, this behaviour is not only rude, it's frightening and maybe even dangerous. I could not see any signage, wearing goggles and forgoing my glasses to do so. Other people may have a legitimate vision disability and they would be abused too because of that. I would caution anyone from visiting this laundromat or the convenience store. There are other facilities close by that are better maintained without the headaches of verbal assaults from this unstable individual. read more

Would never go back. I had barely gotten out of my vehicle in the near empty parking lot before the man working came outside and started yelling at me about the parking. (Customers only or $3/hour). I immediately left and parked elsewhere and walked back to let him know I was going to come inside but was no longer interested and would not be returning. He then proceeded to yell at me and chased me outside as I walked away. read more

Love that this is a family owned, family-run business that there aren't enough of anymore. Been doing my laundry and shopping at the store for over 5 years, the staff are always friendly and respond to any concerns, and the place is always clean and well-functioning. Prices are even fair!
