She didn't let me look at the boys outside of the cage, and then didn't allow me to choose the want I wanted. When we got him home, I looked at him to find he has a tumor on his testicles and a really bad respiratory infection. He was also very afraid of me, which leads me to believe they aren't handled often. Beyond the bad condition of the rat, the employees were very loud and were cursing even though I was accompanied by my thirteen year old brother. None of them had masks, and in fact one woman made rude jokes to a man in the store who did have one on. We are in the middle of a pandemic, with cases of a deadly strain on the rise in this area, and I've never felt more unsafe in a store. The owner is relatively nice, but the employees aren't nearly as hospitable to customers or knowledgeable about these animals. I hate to say it, but I'd rather go to Petco. Everything in this store is overpriced anyway; selling things for $20 when I've bought them from Walmart for $9.

PetSmart is one of the many chain stores making their debut in the Lawton area. They will receive…read moreplenty of attention based on their location and the fact that they are helping to bring Lawton's shopping possibilities into the present day. PetSmart is a one stop shop for all of your pet's needs. Heck, you can even pick your pet there, as they partner with local shelters to bring adoptable animals into the store to meet the public. On the opposite end of the store they feature a grooming station, and they encourage humans to bring their animal companions (Ok, dogs really. Please don't bring your fish!) in to look at the toys and treats available. Here's the problem with PetSmart- the pricing. There are already quite a few pet stores in the Lawton area, locally owned. I've been in a few of them, and been happy with the selection and the price. PetSmart does have a larger collection of goods, but at a higher cost. They do have a loyalty card available, but even so the prices for some of the toys were much higher than I have found in other stores. I know that there is no hope of their prices being lowered. This is a national chain, and the prices are set somewhere else. I also know that they will enjoy a steady stream of people, as they are new and convenient, and they really do have a huge selection of merchandise. My suggestion is that people pay attention to the pricing here, and that you compare that price to the pet store you have used in the past. I'm all for spoiling our pets (Ask me how many cushions my cats have, I dare you!) but not at these prices.

Hes 9 and arthritic in his hips, which was noted and initialed in the disclosure form we sign before dropping him off. She did zero actual work. I had to buy towels and a blow dryer from PopShelf just to get him dry enough to take him home. Been going here for years and this was borderline, if not actual, animal neglect. He's a three layer malamute and being wet in the cold can severely hamper his health. I am disgusted and demand accountability.

I had asked about my puppies medical history and was told a few different stories. I had asked for the reasoning of having another dog at home. Unfortunately, my puppy had kennel cough, meanwhile I was told it was already "treated." I'm grateful for the opportunity to help my puppy get the care he deserves, we wouldn't have changed our minds on adopting. I just expected honesty as well as courtesy to prevent spreading misinformation/illnesses. Sad to transition him from a kennel, back into isolation until he's no longer contagious.
