I noticed the new trainee's trying their best, and I'm giving credit too them.(the trainee's) The layout of this store is well marked on the inside. The outside of the lot is a cluster ad I stated earlier. No wonder there's accidents in the lot, the flow is bad, and with the entrance to the restaurant next door is not conducive ( my English teacher would be proud) to a harmonious flow of traffic. This is a traffic nightmare. Please work on stocking up what's on the app.or at least update the app. Better. Try he Lowes in Wheeling can give you tips on how management should run a store. My husband & I are disabled without a vehicle which makes it very difficult to drive 11 miles out to the stores to shop. So on this occasion my husband was building a shelf for our living room & needed finished boards. He went to Lowes online & purchased several shelf boards that are laminated with a black material & already made to length & width needed for the job. Lowes shipped the boards whereby upon us receiving them & opening the shipping box, we immediately seen the damage .... NOT A SINGLE PIECE OF PACKAGING was used to protect the boards from the NOTORIOUS & standard rigors that things go through when being shipped. The ends of the boards were smashed & flats of boards were badly scuffed as there wasn't even anything placed between boards to prevent them from sliding on each other. We tried calling our Steubenville Lowes but as usual they dont often answer the phone & their STUPID automated answering system is just flat out ludicrous at times! Eventually we got through to a LIVE cust service rep but she told us to call the main cust serv number since they're store wasn't the ones who directly packaged & shipped the items. Upon calling their 1-800 number we immediately cringed when hearing have to deal with more foreign cust serv reps in India, & from PLENTY of past experiences we are WELL aware of them being poorly trained, them constantly reading formatted replies from their computer screen, & they're constantly putting you on hold while they have to ask everyone else there how to answer you! So eventually their cust serv rep said we have to return the items to our local Lowe's for a refund or replacement even after we had already explained to him the situation of us being disabled & not able to drive them into town. This went back n forth for literally 20 minutes until we had enough of the BULLSCHIT runaround game & we demanded to talk to a supervisor whereby we explained how pathetically Lowe's warehouse had packaged our items, received badly damaged, have detailed pictures & video of the damages which we will certainly provide to them, & yet theyre then expecting us having to do their responsibility of fixing the problem by us spending our time, work, & gas money to return the items 11 miles into town! We're sick of that GARBAGE! The supervisor said he was transferring us to another department to handle the situation. We were then told they was going to contact FedEx to do a pickup the following day. They MADE US SPEND FORTY MINUTES on the phone to reach that point, AND THEN the following day came and NO PICKUP which was followed by 2 more days which resulted in NO PICKUP. We then had to contact them AGAIN. After 20 minutes of BULLSCHIT runaround we were eventually asked who told us they would schedule and FedEx pickup. They said was asking because theyre not allowed to do that. We made it PERFECTLY clear that we have the email confirmation for them scheduling the pickup AND we have the ENTIRE recorded phone call with their cust serv rep who said they initiated the pickup by FedEx. They ignored this & merely said theyre not allowed to schedule a pickup & therefore we have to return the damaged boards for refund or replacement. We said NO, we are NOT going to be handed THEIR INCOMPETENCE to provide respectful/responsible service to resolve the issues which they directly created from the start! We were then put on hold AGAIN & eventually got a supervisor who said he would call our Steubenville Lowes & speak with their manager. After 15 minutes & 3 calls he finally got someone to pick up their phone at Lowes, put him on hold, & then nearly 10 minutes later was connected with the Steubenville Lowe's manager! After hearing the BULLSCHIT that Lowes was putting us through, he said would make an exception by scheduling someone from Lowes to drive out to our home to puck up the damaged boards. We asked that they deliver the SAME boards but in acceptable condition. He said that he wasnt able to do that since they didnt have the stock to fulfill the order even though for the past few days their online store showed they had plenty of boards to replace ours. So now its 4 days later on the day was told someone would be driving to our home to do pickup. We waited ALL day from the time Lowe's opened to time they closed AND THERE was no one who showed up. We then called Lowes the following day whereby we eventually got through & was told by the manager their system shows the Lowes worker stopped at our house but no one answered the door. We immediately played back our security cam footage & seen their worker stopped at OUR MAILBOX, snapped a pic of our front yard, reported no one answered the door, & he left! We were FURIOUS! I bought it because the prongs are 1/2" diameter, the thickest that I could find anywhere was 3/8", bending strength goes up by the ratio of the square of the thickness which means 1/2 is 1.77 times as strong as 3/8 assuming the same strength material. The only negative is that the prongs are not sharp, I used a grinder to sharpen them (hard steel). I bought it to give to "WEHARTSEATTLE" unlike the City of Seattle they are a volunteer group that cleans up after homeless camps are moved and pays for transportation for homeless persons to go back home to family if the family wants them back (Seattle will not help the homeless reunite with family). The government gives nothing to WEHARTSEATTLE, it is all private donations.
