Wow this is not my lowes. Visiting family and decided to go out for supplies. Seriously here was his order. Two bags of fertilizer, and a bag of seeds. This place is a cluster F@$k. We checked the app. Before we left. Obviously it is not updated. I understand the manpower shortage, it's everywhere. This was not a busy time. I noticed the new trainee's trying their best, and I'm giving credit too them.(the trainee's) The layout of this store is well marked on the inside. The outside of the lot is a cluster ad I stated earlier. No wonder there's accidents in the lot, the flow is bad, and with the entrance to the restaurant next door is not conducive ( my English teacher would be proud) to a harmonious flow of traffic. This is a traffic nightmare. Please work on stocking up what's on the app.or at least update the app. Better. Try he Lowes in Wheeling can give you tips on how management should run a store. Me & husband stopped buying from Lowes unless absolutely have to, & from what we're seeing, this Lowes is certainly not the only one that adopted the provide-crappy-lumber-and-service policy over the past several years. My husband & I are disabled without a vehicle which makes it very difficult to drive 11 miles out to the stores to shop. So on this occasion my husband was building a shelf for our living room & needed finished boards. He went to Lowes online & purchased several shelf boards that are laminated with a black material & already made to length & width needed for the job. Lowes shipped the boards whereby upon us receiving them & opening the shipping box, we immediately seen the damage .... NOT A SINGLE PIECE OF PACKAGING was used to protect the boards from the NOTORIOUS & standard rigors that things go through when being shipped. The ends of the boards were smashed & flats of boards were badly scuffed as there wasn't even anything placed between boards to prevent them from sliding on each other. We tried calling our Steubenville Lowes but as usual they dont often answer the phone & their STUPID automated answering system is just flat out ludicrous at times! Eventually we got through to a LIVE cust service rep but she told us to call the main cust serv number since they're store wasn't the ones who directly packaged & shipped the items. Upon calling their 1-800 number we immediately cringed when hearing have to deal with more foreign cust serv reps in India, & from PLENTY of past experiences we are WELL aware of them being poorly trained, them constantly reading formatted replies from their computer screen, & they're constantly putting you on hold while they have to ask everyone else there how to answer you! So eventually their cust serv rep said we have to return the items to our local Lowe's for a refund or replacement even after we had already explained to him the situation of us being disabled & not able to drive them into town. This went back n forth for literally 20 minutes until we had enough of the BULLSCHIT runaround game & we demanded to talk to a supervisor whereby we explained how pathetically Lowe's warehouse had packaged our items, received badly damaged, have detailed pictures & video of the damages which we will certainly provide to them, & yet theyre then expecting us having to do their responsibility of fixing the problem by us spending our time, work, & gas money to return the items 11 miles into town! We're sick of that GARBAGE! The supervisor said he was transferring us to another department to handle the situation. We were then told they was going to contact FedEx to do a pickup the following day. They MADE US SPEND FORTY MINUTES on the phone to reach that point, AND THEN the following day came and NO PICKUP which was followed by 2 more days which resulted in NO PICKUP. We then had to contact them AGAIN. After 20 minutes of BULLSCHIT runaround we were eventually asked who told us they would schedule and FedEx pickup. They said was asking because theyre not allowed to do that. We made it PERFECTLY clear that we have the email confirmation for them scheduling the pickup AND we have the ENTIRE recorded phone call with their cust serv rep who said they initiated the pickup by FedEx. They ignored this & merely said theyre not allowed to schedule a pickup & therefore we have to return the damaged boards for refund or replacement. We said NO, we are NOT going to be handed THEIR INCOMPETENCE to provide respectful/responsible service to resolve the issues which they directly created from the start! We were then put on hold AGAIN & eventually got a supervisor who said he would call our Steubenville Lowes & speak with their manager. After 15 minutes & 3 calls he finally got someone to pick up their phone at Lowes, put him on hold, & then nearly 10 minutes later was connected with the Steubenville Lowe's manager! After hearing the BULLSCHIT that Lowes was putting us through, he said would make an exception by scheduling someone from Lowes to drive out to our home to puck up the damaged boards. We asked that they deliver the SAME boards but in acceptable condition. He said that he wasnt able to do that since they didnt have the stock to fulfill the order even though for the past few days their online store showed they had plenty of boards to replace ours. So now its 4 days later on the day was told someone would be driving to our home to do pickup. We waited ALL day from the time Lowe's opened to time they closed AND THERE was no one who showed up. We then called Lowes the following day whereby we eventually got through & was told by the manager their system shows the Lowes worker stopped at our house but no one answered the door. We immediately played back our security cam footage & seen their worker stopped at OUR MAILBOX, snapped a pic of our front yard, reported no one answered the door, & he left! We were FURIOUS! I ordered three items from Lowe's and two of them arrived without issue however the third item was not delivered on time and instead of Lowes reaching out to tell me why I had to spend 3 hours on the phone being transferred 6 times to get no resolution. I purchased a washer and dryer from my mom from the Steubenville Lowe's tour along with all the accessories necessary. The people there suggested stacking it up. I paid extra for the kids and they did not even bother to use what came in the package, and it was not balanced Weeble wobble, and with a big enough load, it might fall down. And I gotta pan forward to keep water leaking because it's on the second floor. They didn't even do that right. Lousy service I wasn't here. My mom was and she's 80 years old so they just, Literally dick their way through that one. And on top of it all I have not been able to get a hold of anybody because they delivered it from another store and it had a 48 hour warranty on it but I've been playing with so many people from Lowes, I buy from the Steubenville store. I deal with them. I deal with them, and in the end they tell me it came from the Washington store. I called the Washington store but nobody picks up. So I have to call corporate and they have to send an email so somebody will get a hold of me, everything is ironed out. There's supposed to be over here by 6:30 today and they're not here and the delivery warranty is void after 48 hours. and I've been working on this shit the past week. I call their phone number, and NO ONE answers, just kept on hold. Guy came to put up our blinds, the rod wasn't making the blinds turn, said he would order another rod, we waited and waited 4 weeks, so called and asked them what happened, here they didn't even order it! So my window is half opened when closed, and still haven't put up the valance! I am disgusted. We live 45 minutes from this store. We look on line and see they have what we need only to get there and find that what we need has been opened! Ask the person in the dept (when you can find someone) if we can open it all the way to inspect. They say no! It's just from being shipped. Well when we drive all the way home and get read to start the job the handle (kinda of important for the equipment) is missing!!!! Associates were very helpful. My rating is because of forklift safety 8:30 am, 8-22-22. If you review the required OSHA training, you will find your driver should not be travelling faster than normal walking speed while in pedestrian traffic, be it a customer or coworker. Impulse starts and stops, even with repeated use of the horn, are dangerous. When your driver "whips" the forklift into a turn, the brakes only effect the wheels at the mast end of the machine, causing the steer end to orbit the point of friction with no predictable stopping point. Quick work is not safe work. Dangerous habits are not brave or manly. Please review your safety requirements or hire a consultant to explain it to you. read more

Absolutely horrible service!!!! After speaking with a salesman early in the day.......Made a special trip back with a trailer to pick up a larger item. Waited over 25 minutes to be helped only to be told they could NOT sell the product after we had already made the trip to buy THAT ACTUAL ITEM!!!! So my family was in the middle of getting our bathroom remodeled we bought all the parts but while the project going on we find out the faucet for the tub wasn't the right size pipe. It was a manufacturing problem and all they would have had to do was grab the one from the floor and wasps out that one part for us and damage that one out and give it back to the warehouse but refused to do it! No they didn't wanna do that like it's my fault I didn't know what size I needed until the work was in progress. Everything was 1/2 inch expect that one part. You guys have gone way down hill even before covid! You have employees that don't know anything or have any knowledge of anything and just fake it until you make it! I work in retail for housewares appliances and I have worked my butt off and gathered as much knowledge about my appliances that I sell to help my customers. Lazy useless customer service. I needed door paint. 2 "associates" were yapping to each other in the electrical isle. I asked one for help. He pointed to the front of the store and told me he never leaves the electrical section. Then he proceeded to go back to his yapping with his buddy. This is by FAR the worst Lowe's I've ever been to. I wish I'd have gotten his name. Not that the company would have done anything about him but at least the customers could have avoided the idiot. Unfortunately he's par for the course in that store. I've actually ordered things from amazon in the Lowe's parking lot because I couldn't get any qualified help and I urge anyone else to do the same. WARNING - Lowes Lawnmotor warranty 1. Purchased a Husqvarna Self propelled motor for $404.10.at Steubenville, Oho 2, Purchased a warranty for $99.97 3. Dropped off the motor to Lowes Steubenville, Ohio store. 4. THE MOTOR RAN FINE..., but the Self propelled stopped working while cutting grass 5. After several weeks, called about motor. Told the self propelled motor stopped working because of debris in the part...I asked what are your talking about, I clean under the motor after every use.. 6. Said I don't understand...When I cut grass, check oil, gas, clean under the motor before putting away. 7. Asked how could grass debris get into the self propelled part to stop self propelled 8.Lowes manager said that's what Husqvarna told her, so warranty no good... Could not explain to me what I did wrong! 9. Over 70 years of age, been cutting grass a long time...Had self propelled stopped working over the years, when under warranty was always covered ( Sears craftsman). 10. So, spent a hundred dollars on a useless warranty, and now Husqvarna wants hundreds more to repair.... Would NOT even give me back the motor unless I give them about hundred dollars just to tell me what's wrong with it... Thing is I told them what wrong with the motor! 11. Both Husqvarma & Lowes, in my opinion, did not honor the warranty I purchased. 12. Was told as first I abused my motor...Wanted to know how I did that...MANAGER HAD NO ANSWER....Then told It was 'Wear & Tear;...So, using your motor to cut grass is Wear and Tear on a Lawnmotor... 13. Welcome to Lowe's. We act like we're the only hardware store in the world, so as long as we offer decent prices we can be as rude and unprofessional as we like. Oh, we can have some absurd policies too. Went here looking at redoing my kitchen. The kitchen design lady was nice but didn't know much (if anything) about moving plumbing or electrical...just knew that you can fit X number of inches of cabinets in X number of inches of space. After deciding to go another route (a contractor who will be reviewed once the work is done), I went back to inquire about getting our countertop through Lowe's. Well, you would have thought that I had stolen money from her. She became rude and condescending. Looking around the showroom, there was no display for the store brand countertop, just the expensive countertops. No matter when I go, there's always some absurd policy that affects me, I once bought a pallet of insulation, but I had to put a deposit down on the pallet and then when I went to return the pallet (at the returns counter) I was told I had to return it down at the contractor's entrance. I avoid this place as much as possible, but sometimes I have no choice. read more

I had an issue with a purchase I made at the Steubenville Lowes and dealt with the store manager, George. He was absolutely exceptional in his handling of my issue. He took every measure to resolve the problem and saw it to conclusion. And the staff at the Customer Service desk at the store clearly have admiration for this manager and were very helpful in seeing that they carried out his directions completely to our satisfaction. RANT... on 8/29/18 I needed a refrigerator and dishwasher I was limited on money. I went to Lowe's in Stephenville and the person that waited on me it was a gentleman was very rude very rude I mean he was not helpful at all so I purchased a Frigidaire dish Frigidaire dishwasher for $299 and I put a three-year warranty on it I walked around and I seen a stainless steel refrigerator made by Whirlpool sitting in the middle for $414 it had a big sticker refrigerator to on it that said brand new compressor just put in the refrigerator I checked it out and it looked pretty good with it saying it had just had a brand new compressor I felt pretty safe I thought you know it's got to work for a while so I went and I talk to the Salesman the salesman standing there and asked him if I could pick up the appliances tomorrow and he said nope nope nope nope nope get them out today so I went to talk to the supervisor of the store and he said I could indeed get them the next day while I was gone the person that was originally waiting on me was now selling theRefrigerator to an elderly couple, or kudos for me because I save the elderly couple and lotta Heartaches. A lot of you know that I've been very sick and I've been off work for a while some money is extremely tight for me so I thought this was great that I got both appliances for this kind of a deal however it really backfired on me I got the refrigerator home plugged in immediately well let it settle plug plugged it in and it's never got cold so the sticker on the door said new compressor as ES tried to call and talk to Lowe's and they said don't bother us it's said as is , and hung up on me this is lowes of Steubenville so I called a repair man that I know on site services this is the most wonderful man he has tried to help me so much, however he's not looking to get into that big job right now also J& L services has guided me every step of the way but I'm out of steps the compressor is 480.00 then I have to pay the repairmen. I went to return 25 nuts, washers and bolts at the Steubenville store. Unbeknownst to me the person who rang up my purchase only charged for 23. I was treated like criminal. The returns person had a bad attitude. She told me she couldn't give me more than I paid. I agreed. I said I am not trying to pull anything by getting more money than what I paid it is not complicated. At this point, A tall thug working in the store walks me and puts his nose up to my nose and said to me to be quiet. I said okay but, he continued menacing me. I had to tell him "please leave me alone" and pulled my phone to record him. This is the only thing that stopped him from physically harming me. I told him I was not a tough guy; just a coward that just trying to get a refund. I never had an experience like this in my life. Is this how Lowe's wants to run a business? I give this Lowe's store less than a one star rating. A few years ago it was so bad that I had the district managers direct line. I complained so many times to corporate headquarters about how the store was operated it was a long running joke. Has it improved? NO WAY it has actually gotten worse which is hard to believe. Over the last few years I have had to spend thousands of dollars in a Lowe's store just because it was to costly to go elsewhere. We own 3 homes 2 of which are duplexes that we rent. And have done major renovations in the last 3 1/2 years. problems? no stock on shelves web site says they have it in store but don't. Staff is discourteous most times . Manager is none caring and totally unaware most times. This store needs new management and retraining of staff . I will point out that there are a few exceptional people there. But to get them recgonized for their effort you have to call corporate headquarters to get acknowledgement for them. AND follow up with the manager. AND the employee. Do I still shop there.. yes because there is nothing else truly available unless I go to wheeling or Washington Pa. ( Home Depot). read more
