As questions arose, instead of communicating with us to discuss potential issues, he did whatever was cheap, quick, and easy for him, regardless of how it looked or if it was even functional. He spent his time screaming, berating, and using a Spanish language app on his phone to communicate with people he hired. Examples: 1. He installed three internal barn doors that were four inches too small and did so incorrectly, with missing and misplaced hardware. This caused the doors to literally fall on top of us. He refused to repair and replace the doors. 2. He installed inconsistent trim throughout the house, all different wood types, finishes and colors from different manufacturers, none of which we approved. He then used mismatched wood filler. Wood pieces were chipped and damaged throughout. He refused to repair and replace the trim. 3. He brought a professional painter to the house with him to provide an estimate and then we never saw the painter again. Instead, he had non-professionals do the painting and it looked horrible. We paid Mark Dallas half of the final payment in good faith that he would fix the faulty work for which he admitted responsibility. Instead of doing the work, he blatantly ignored us for months. His refusal to finish the job, especially after we paid him money that he had not yet earned, speaks volumes about his lack of professionalism. His exceptionally poor work is going to cost us thousands more to correct.
