DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They will continue to want money even if they are not providing the service they have billed you and been paid for. No refunds, no discussions. Rotten to the core!!! I cannot recommend this security company. They install junk equipment and they will lie to you.

This is a horrible security company. They will lie to you to get you to sign up with them and make promises that they do not keep. The security equipment they installed has had numerous problems within the three year I have had their system. The owner of the company is arrogant, greedy and is not customer oriented. I have given M&S Security several written notices per text, mail and email to ask that my lease NOT TO BE RENEWED and to continue my service on a month to month basis after the lease has expired. After my last request, they tried to tell me that I did not notify them in time (NOT TRUE) and that I am under another another long contract term. I was told I could pay them an inflated amount to get out of their contract. They also submitted a bill to me for the alarm installation that was over the amount that was agreed upon. M&S Security has poor business ethics and I would NOT recommend anyone doing business with them! After reading M&S Security's response to my Google review, This is my response to these Scum Bags: I think it is time to take the gloves off and expose these scum bags for what they are. My relationship with M&S Security started with broken promises that they failed to keep. Their sales rep Bob Moser first came out and gave me a WRITTEN estimate of $750.00 for a security system which included all "material and labor". Bob stated that they had a fleet of work vehicles that they would be sending to my mechanic shop and he also stated that he had a late Model Mustang that he wanted us to perform brake service on and possibly a shaker hood - 4 years later, I have not seen a single M&S Security work vehicle or Bob's Mustang. I have given more than one written notice to NOT extend their NEVER ENDING contract. After giving M&S Security 4 years of business, they are still attempting to enforce their NEVER ENDING CONTRACT (Apparently 4 years of service was not enough for them). In the end, they submitted an over-inflated bill and said they would let me out of their contract when it is paid. They billed me for an alleged alarm signal which did not happen, if it did, I was never called as they are supposed to and can this may be verified by my phone records. They also increased the amount of the original alarm system installation, which they are now attempting to collect. Fortunately I have documentation and eye witnesses to verify these facts. These people are arrogant, greedy, have poor business ethics and are your typical BAIT & SWITCH company! BUYER BEWARE, THESE PEOPLE SUCK AND SO DOES THEIR EQUIPMENT!!!! read more

I hired this company in 9/17. They sent two guards who never did what I asked them to do (guard the area with all the money-where I was-and the bar). My husband and I both had to track them down several times to remind them where they needed to be. When they were in the area asked to be they were eating our food and talking to each other or the bartender. I contacted M&S and told them about what happened and unfortunately expected these two guys would be finding work better suited to their talents. I was told the supervisor would be notified and the bill would likely be waived. Several months later I received a bill for an amount that was slightly reduced. I called and asked to speak to a manager or the owner in regards to the bill. I was told I'd be called back, I wasn't called back until November of this year and was told there were now several months of finance charges. I asked why I would pay finance/late charges when they never followed through with contacting me and the young woman said she was going to waive those since they never called me. I again asked to speak to the owner of the company regarding the amount they were billing me for. A week later I received a letter from a collection agency demanding the amount plus the finance charges I was told would be waived. If you're looking for a body in a guard uniform to pay-hire this company. If you're really looking for security and an efficient company to work with-THIS IS NOT IT. read more

If I could give M &S 10 stars, that would be my rating! These people know what they are doing, are quick to respond, and are so patient with customers in explaining the systems sold. We have been with them since about the time Marvin Fuller, Sr. began the business, now run by his son, Marvin, Jr. Alarm and security companies in Bakersfield were very much a hit or miss proposition before M & S, with more unethical and dishonest alarm companies ripping off customers than you could imagine. The call service (when you set off the alarm) is ok. The accounting dept is good when you need to switch payment card. The service, and sales are glacially slow to respond to you, if they do respond to you. The owner is not that easy to work with. Makes a lot of excuses and doesn't really listen when you talk, just interrupts a lot. read more

I've used M&S Security for over ten years to protect my home and business. They are locally owned. I love that when my alarm goes off it notifies a local office, not a 1-800 number in another state or out of the country like the large nation wide alarm companies. The call center is staffed with friendly, helpful staff that actually answer your call rather than send you to an automated phone system that puts you on hold. I love that I OWN my alarm system, I'm not leasing it from a company that over charged me and locked me into a long contract. M&S has their own security guards that can get to your home quicker than the police can. I feel very safe having a M&S alarm on my home and office. I can turn my alarm on and off from my phone, I have a panic button keyring that I keep on a hook near my bed that will set off my alarm when needed. read more

Excellent service from the Alarm techs. Cleaned up after they did the install and they were very kind guys.

Buyer beware!!! I bought a house with a pre-existing system that was haphazardly installed so that my windows couldn't be opened. Of course they were all hearts and flowers when I signed the "maintenance agreement," indicating they'd rewire my system and come out anytime I had a complaint. But they never fixed the problem and after months of repeated requests, I called to cancel my service. Little did I know that even though they understood my complaint when they took the call, that they were going to scam me. Months later, I received a bill for thousands of dollars. They billed me for the months after my phone call because they claim to not accept telephonic cancellations (even though they didn't say anything on the phone). And they charged me for the next two years of service I would have received because that "maintenance agreement" I initialed was a shady contract with seedy clauses, such as the Nightingale Clause that gave them the right to renew my agreement for several years without my consent. If I was unhappy with the service, I was definitely unhappy when they reported me to collections thirty days later. read more
