They handle my alarm problem efficiently over the phone. They were very knowledgeable and very polite.

If I could give them zero stars I would!! Buyer BEWARE!! Paid $3800 for a camera system that we were told we would always own, even if we discontinued service. Well, after being tired of repeatedly paying their $60 service fee for their junk equipment that constantly fell off our windows which made it impossible to actually set our alarm, we discontinued our service, and the camera system is paid for, in full. We suddenly don't have access on our phones to the cameras and they told us that they own the software. So we have cameras with zero capability of reviewing them!! I have checked online and this is a common ADT scam!! The software is proprietary to ADT and they own all the rights. Did they ever once disclose this? NO! Oh I'm sure it was buried deep somewhere in paperwork but verbally they acted like we were always going to have this great camera system. All of their sales people are shady and just try to talk you into re-upping their service. They also give different monthly quotes depending on who you talk to. The whole place is a scam!! Don't do business here! If you want cameras, go to Costco or Amazon!! For a fraction of the price!! read more

Would give zero stars if I could. Here are some problems: 1. Salesman did not explain installation well. Counted a few doors haphazardly leaving me to either pay $300+ for more sensors or leave windows unprotected. 2. Sensors are glitchy, there is one window sensor that keeps failing and giving me an open window message. 3. Nion impossible to cancel. Call them for anything it'll take 5 mins, call to cancel it'll take an hour or more. Can't cancel by any other way but calling. Never EVER buy ADT! read more

I found a contract dated 4/2021 which I did not initial but someone did. It refers to the service given on the formentioned date. The young man was assertive, insistent, felt entitled knowing my needs Yet it say I have an ADT DOORBELL AND IN FACT I have a RING DOORBELL. BACK then an aggressive sales person came and reviewed what I still have, no additions, and yet he kept insisting. Was it this young man who initialed this contract. Not my initialed. ASKING I had no choice but to review on YELP cause I cannot get the questions in....they have their own Agenda not the customers .... I do not recommend ADT AND I HAVE USED THEM FOR YEARS. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Quick to get your business and sell you on everything but cannot help you when things go wrong with equipment that is less than 2 weeks old!! Been on the phone for a total of 2 hours now and not one of my issues has been resolved. Just transferred multiple times over and over. Can't even get them to send me a technician to help! We just bought a house and after a good experience with ADT growing up, I without a doubt went with ADT for protection and solar. That was a mistake. For ADT protection: The salesman Dennis was pushy about me signing up for a referral program even when I stated I didn't want to. He also missed a huge window in my bathroom, right next to my daughter's room, that I am now responsible paying $200 to add a security sensor to (including an installation fee) which I would only have to pay maybe half the cost if he included it in his original install. When I brought it to his attention, he said he "doubts" his boss will discount anything for us even though he admitted he was the one who messed up. He said he would ask the boss if they could discount anything for us with the window alarm. Then he ghosted me for 3 months. Finally, he responded to my many texts and calls, as I desperately wanted that window protected, with "oh. I thought you didn't want to pay the full price. It will be $200 no discount." I then turned to ADT customer care for help, they gave me the runaround and never helped me either. So disappointing. ADT solar: the salesperson Youan promised me many times that we were "for sure" going to get a full $14,000 back on tax credit, guaranteed no matter our income. As long as we put the $14,000 within the first 18 months back into our solar loan, our payments will stay at $250. We even have footage of his promises, as we have a living room ring camera. We asked around with a few different tax preparers, and it turns out how much you get back is based on income. We don't qualify to get the full $14,000 this year, but rather will get it over the next few years, meaning our monthly payment for solar will go up to $350 unless we can come up with $14,000. I learned this a week before the solar install was supposed to happen. I called Youan and Ryan (his manager) and they basically told me Youan didn't know that, and oh well. They also told me to text them when I decide if we want to move forward or not. We took some time, got some other solar quotes, and decided to still move forward. Never heard a word back from either of them. Overall, ADT has great systems and does offer good to average deals in terms of price and added benefits. However, their sales people and customer service people are absolute liars and untrustworthy. Once they get your money, they are done. It is the worst. read more

ADT is horrible I had someone outside my house trying to get in and I pushed the panic button and the alarms didn't go off till I hit it over three times, then I moved and was told everything would be transferred over to the new home free of charge and they try to charge me all these fees plus sign another two year contract so I finally had enough and canceled, I told them not to pull the final amount from my account to just bill me and they sent me a bill then this morning I looked at my account and they took it from my account after they told me they wouldn't!!!! After experiencing a home invasion/robbery; Ordered ADT Security with 6 cameras. Moved from AT&T to Spectrum because ADT said speed was not enough. The guy literally spent 6 hours on Friday, Saturday and several hours on Monday because he only brought 4 cameras instead of the 6. The pictures are beyond horrible despite being sold as their best. It does not surprise me in the slightest to come onto this website and see a one star rating for ADT. This company has been insulting, disrespectful, mischievous, untruthful, and maniacal. Almost every month when I receive my bill. I automatically pay it. Each month, there is some ridiculous drawn out process, rules, and guidelines the company throws at you, while providing below average service. Today was a perfect example. I went onto ADT's website to make my payment, and without fail, received a popup notification stating my payment would go below zero if I made my payment. The notification came up in a yellow triangle symbol with an exclamation point in it. Confused, I call ADT inquiring as to why I have received this message. Rather than immediately going into the troubleshooting of my problem, the agent began to question me. My anger increased. The agent stated the payment was made, the notification is to let you know it has been paid. I replied that I should receive a notification stating that, rather than a symbol you normally see when entering a hazardous area. I let a bad-word slip, and the agent asked me to refrain from using said language. I repeated that a notification of the such is confusing to see a statement that states by making said payment I am going to go below zero in what I owe. How is that possible it I paid the exact payment due? The agent continued to be snarky and unwilling to address the matter in an effective way.
