While I'm at least not being charged fees for everything, their service leaves much to be desired. For starters, they have no online bill pay. This is such a basic service that it didn't occur to me to ask if they had it before opening the account. I can't even been able use the minimal "online banking" services they do have to check my balance, etc. I've made two requests for a log-in, but have received no reply at all. Their in-person service is slow & indifferent. I'm rather baffled as to how they stay in business.

The stipulations here are crazy no debit card even if you have your ID they won't give you any money. There's no tellers so they really can't service. Only select locations have tellers that can give you cash. I…read morereceived a call from the Branch Manager Michelle who wanted to reach out to me because I had sent a online complaint. The Manager wanted to know what happened with the member representative Aerial at the branch. I had explained that the member representative stated that she couldn't accept my $10 in coins for deposit and stated that they had to be wrapped. I pointed out that the $10 in coin consisted of $8 in quarters, $1.10 in nickels and .90 in dimes all of which could not be wrapped. The Manager stated that the member service representative said that I didn't want to give the employee the coin and had a change of heart. "This make no sense because I wouldn't drive out of my way to make a deposit and then have a change of heart and then make a complaint". Needless to say the Aerial lied to cover up her incompetence! . The Manager assured me that Navy Federal Credit Union does take coin that can not be wrapped and that the employee has been advised that she was in error for communicating the wrong information. She was very dismissive and rude (raising her voice), terrible customer service and told me to go get verified at UPS when the document clearly stated it had to be verified by MY financial institution, which is PNC. I don't know if she can't read or what but because of her rude and dismissive behavior, I went to several other banks and they all told me it had to be done thru MY bank and they didn't understand why she wouldn't just sign the document. Luckily there is a PNC branch inside of the Giant in beltway plaza, they sent me to Rockville and I was able to get it done. Wells Fargo is not my personal banking center, however my bank had previously given me trouble and this Wells Fargo location is very close to my house. While the wait is very long for a Friday afternoon, the customer associate representative was able to help me fill out my documents and notarized it in a very promptly manner. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to pay a fee to get my document notarized (especially since my bank charges for the service.) The staff were very professional and supportive and I was able to get what I needed done. I would come back in the future for the great customer service and wide range of services they provide.
